Ordered takeout on a weekend and split 3 plates among 5 people. The food was ready incredibly quickly after calling in the order, and 3 plates was enough to feed 5 of us with leftovers! The portions are really large and the food was so tasty. The 3 plates we ordered were: The big Nyash - $19.99 (Jollof rice, fried plantain, coleslaw, and smoked beef ribs) - the smoked beef ribs were so incredibly soft, juicy, and flavorful. They actually almost tasted like wagyu - they were so juicy, rich, and fatty with a good portion of mean on the bone as well. It was really melt in your mouth. The fried plantain was also nice and sweet, and the jollof rice was spicy and flavorful. I am not sure if the coleslaw was correct in our order though, since it seemed like the collard greens in the other two plates we ordered. Custom plate - $15.99 (Smoked pork ribs, jollof rice, beans, and collard greens) - the smoked ribs were very meaty and full of porky flavor, but the beans in this were to die for! They had a full on meaty and salty flavor to them - they were extremely hearty and flavorful. The rice and greens were the same as the other plates, but very very good as well! Custom plate - $15.99 (Jerk chicken, rice and peas, fried plantain, and collard greens) - the chicken was a little spicy and still very moist, which was great. It was also nice to have the rice and peas which were not spicy at all compared to the jollof rice on the other two plates. The plantains and greens were great like the other plates. The amount of food you get for the price is amazing. I still can't believe our group of 5 weren't able to finish 3 plates, and the flavors and freshness of the ingredients is incredible. 5/5 I'd love to return! read more

2nd time here on a weeknight. Caribbean & African food. Cafeteria style. Ordered 3 combo plates. Ribs are smoky and fall off the bone. Ox tail is good. Spicy rice has a nice kick. Curry goat has great flavor, not gamey. Staff are always friendly and helpful with explaining items or making suggestions. Fried plantains always good. Both pork & beef ribs are yummy. My teenager wanted to try new food and decided to try Sentie's Kitchen. We ordered a bunch of dishes to get a good idea of the different dishes and everything was really yummy. We ordered the oxtail plate which was very flavorful. The fried goat was really good and the jollof rice was my favorite. My daughter liked the egusi stew and my son the kampala chicken. I went to Senties Kitchen this weekend for the second time seeking the same curried goat that I had on my first visit. What I got was overly salted inedible rice and five boney pieces of goat. The language barrier was frustrating. The employee directed me to the credit machine when I gave him cash. He did not know how to calculate change. I was charged $23 instead of the $18 I paid prior to this visit. While they weren't mean they aren't the least bit friendly. I felt like a bother. My rice and bones went into compost and I learned a lesson. I will NEVER return to this establishment. read more

I almost want to keep this place to myself but it would be a disservice. The food here is absolutely delicious. Portions are hefty and prices are fair. The jerk chicken is smoky, spicy and full of flavor. I've had the beef ribs, mac and cheese, beef patty, oxtails. Everything is so flavorful and so good. I placed an order online and it was ready within five minutes of me getting there. The ambience inside was clean and inviting. I did the make your own plate with fried goat, mac & cheese, coleslaw, fried plantains, jollof rice and collard greens, which are hiding under the fried goat. I also got a side of jerk chicken and a side salad. Everything came out to be $22. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive. My favorites on the plate were the mac & cheese, and the fried goat. I live 30 minutes away from this place, and it was worth a drive and I'll be doing the drive again in the future. The food here was exceptional. I am in Boston for baseball and stopped here with 2 members of my family. All 3 of us ordered different food to try the menu more fully and all of us were satisfied. We each shared bites of each others dishes and agree not a single item of food was bad. The best we agree and would recommend to those not too familiar with Afro-Caribbean food is the Pork Ribs which was so flavorful it did not even require sauce, and the Mac n cheese was some of the best Mac n cheese I've ever had. We received our food quickly and watched it get assembled. All of the food is freshly cooked and the employees are very friendly. There is somewhat limited seating available and the music playing is perfect for the setting. However I will say they keep the restaurant very warm, this combined with the warm food and spice can generate some hot feelings. Overall the best food that we ate in Boston throughout the duration of our 4 day venture here. read more

We got take out this past Sunday for the first time and the food is delicious! It was my first time trying jollof rice and Sentie's Kitchen did not disappoint. The fall of the bone ribs were some of the best I've had. The Mac and cheese was excellent as well as the fried goat and plantains. The staff were very courteous. The place looked sparkling with a few tables. There is a comfortable couch and TV to use while you wait for your order. I wish this new place much success! They are a welcome addition to an area that previously didn't have much to offer other than the usual. read more

Had the pleasure of having some of this chef's food at a local farmers market in Ashland, the food was good and the people were very nice. Sentie and his team were delightful and even talked us a bit through his cooking process. He had alternative meals for people who were vegetarian, but a lot of the food he had was meat. I am not a fan of slaw so didn't like the coleslaw too much, but I'd recommend.
