We had an AMAZING experience with Tastings Catering. Sue the owner, Mat our banquet manager, and all of the rest of their staff were friendly, kind, attentive, and went above and beyond for our micro-wedding 2 months ago. Since we had a small COVID wedding, food was the main focal point of the affair, and Sue was able to take the difficult guidelines we gave her (a menu that celebrated our mixed Chinese/Haitian/Dominican backgrounds and had a homey/down to earth feel) and came up with an outstanding menu to fit this perfectly. She was understanding and sensitive about adjusting the menu to fit our budget, and she kindly gave us a very thorough tasting and made adjustments based on our feedback. She also offered to let us borrow numerous candles and decorations free of charge, which saved us an enormous amount of money and waste, which was ideal for us since we were trying to be as sustainable as possible. The day of our wedding, the Tastings staff did an impeccable job of setting up everything like we planned, the decorations they provided were gorgeous, everything was done exactly as planned and on time, and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff was very thoughtful about making sure that my husband and I were fed. They made sure to set aside food for us during the cocktail hour, which we mostly missed due to photography time. We received a lot of compliments on the food from our guests: my Haitian father-in-law was impressed by the Haitian meatballs, which is NOT something most American catering companies can easily do, and the jerk chicken was rated as "authentic" by our Caribbean guests. Months later, I still have dreams about the gorgeous and tasty holiday-themed cookies Sue baked for us: my husband has promised me that we will buy cookies from Tastings again the next time we are in Massachusetts again. In short, we can't recommend Tastings enough for your wedding celebration: they were a key part of making our wedding a success. Yum - TASTINGS!!! Our wedding location (Codman Estate) asked that we use one of their preferred vendors, Tastings, being one. After exchanging emails with a few other caterers and Tastings, it quickly became clear that Tastings would be the one for us. We met with Sue (who is amazing, warm, funny and a TALENTED chef!) and she really sold us. Tastings provided drinks to the guests before the ceremony (a nice touch), then provided delicious appetizers during cocktail hour and a fabulous sit-down dinner. They also provided two friendly, professional bartenders (we were able to supply the alcohol). They made my cake - which was DELICIOUS and CUTE! At the end of the night they passed out apple cider donuts, which were also a big hit. read more

Oh my goodness. Where do we start with Tastings? Eileen and Sue were perfect vendors from beginning to end. In addition to food and cake, Tastings also worked with us for our flatware, silverware, tables, chairs, and linens. Honestly, to have that burden taken off of us was well worth hiring them just for that! But the food is really where the difference was made. They made sure that WE got what WE wanted in our food, and then it came to life and our guests gushed about the food the whole time. My favorite foods were the mini grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters. I told Sue and Eileen that I've always loved tomato soup and grilled cheese, and they elevated it and made it one of a kind for us. Leigh's favorite is a toss-up between chicken and waffles or the empanadas. Holy cow, can these guys cook! Not to mention the cake. Sue bakes like she was born to do it. We had two different flavors of cake (one on each tier), and they made us a third tier in a kahlua mudslide flavor just for us! We can't wait to crack it open on our anniversary. All in all, I cannot think of a single thing that I didn't love about having Tastings cater our wedding. We looked through a LOT of vendors, and this was perfect. Oh, What a Night!! We can't thank Sue & Eileen enough for the tremendous food at our daughters wedding. Everything was absolutely delicious. The potato bar was delicious, the appetizers plentiful and the plates could barely hold the entrees. The staff was personable and professional. They answered any question we had. The food can make or break any event, especially a wedding. Five day later, we're still getting compliments on how good everything was. My boyfriend and I met with Sue yesterday to discuss having her cater our wedding. After receiving our first quote from another caterer I started crying and didn't know how we were going to be able to pay for it all. Then along came Tastings... Tastings was started by Sue & her husband after having a horrible catering experience at their own wedding. Because of that, they so all they can to keep things affordable for people without sacrificing the quality of the food. They get many of their ingredients from local farms, and have done lots of traveling to understand the food they prepare. After meeting with her, sampling some food, and seeing some pictures, the boyfriend and I could not stop smiling. There's no way we could have found a better caterer. She doesn't charge for a lot of items that most caterers do, and on top of that she is one of the nicest people. I can't wait to expand on this review after our wedding! read more

Now that the wedding is behind us, my opinion of Tastings has only gone up. The food was amazing. So much so that people are STILL raving about the ravioli and asking if I had any leftovers. And the cake topper that was supposed to be frozen for our first anniversary? Um, yeah... That didn't make it a week. Every last detail was taken care of and my high expectations were exceeded. The presentation was beautiful, staff professional and courteous, and Sue really cares for her customers, often going above and beyond to make sure they are happy. While email communication was not always the best way to get in contact with them if you needed something quickly, phone calls were always returned within a few hours (minus the few times I left one late night) if they didn't answer right away. Eileen and Sue are on top of their game and will create a beautiful spread that is tasteful and hits your budget. I will definitely use them again in the future. read more

Truly excellent food, service, and staff. Tastings catered my wedding this June at the Waterworks Museum, and I cannot speak highly enough about Sue, Eileen, and the rest of the Tastings staff. Finding a caterer was scary at first. Everything was incredibly expensive, so much that I felt as though I would not be able to provide enough for my guests. Enter Tastings. Not only was Tastings a good two *thousand* dollars less expensive than other Boston-area companies, but they were able to provide us with more food than other companies quoted for us! Truly a customer-focused company. I was really grateful to find them. After meeting with Sue several times (and bothering Eileen about tables through several emails--sorry about that!), I had no doubt that Tastings would pull off my wedding without a hitch. And that's exactly what happened. I didn't have to worry about anything. Another benefit of Tastings is that they brought over a special plate of appetizers for my now-husband and I, and sent us home with a ton of leftovers. When people tell you that you'll hardly eat at your wedding, it's not a lie! So I was grateful they provided us with the leftovers. My guests raved about the food, and I have to say I agree with them. I have been to many weddings where the chicken is just dry and kind of unappealing. Tastings does not fall into this chicken category. If they can do mass amounts of chicken well, just imagine what they can do with other dishes. And by the way--you'll taste so many of their dishes if you choose them because rather than a private tasting, they pretty much throw a party every so often so potential and current clients can sample many of their dishes. Attending one of their parties definitely swayed me into choosing the ricotta/truffle dip. SO GOOD. This is getting redundant, so I'm going to end things here by stating that I cannot recommend Tastings enough for any event. Just a great family-run company. read more

They truly care about their clients and make sure they are happy with their service. They guided us the whole year leading up to our wedding, from food selections, to linens, and décor. They helped us pick a menu that stayed within our budget, while also offering to supplement our décor with their supply of items which saved us money too. I did not end up going with Tastings Caterers for my wedding reception 2011, but it was a very close call between them and my other catererTwo Chefs Are Better Than One. Tasting's has group tastings during certain times of the year and I highly recommend attending if you're on the fence. Not only do they have a showroom of all the tables, chairs and linens that they can provide, but they had a room FILLED with food stations, all different kinds. While some of the dishes were nothing truly special (lo mein), their puff pastry items were delicious. I could eat those forever. They are extremely organized and give you a list of the items names. Their desserts - so yummy. At the end, they gave out boxes for you to go around and take any of the leftovers home so that they do not waste anything (a caterer after my own heart). Sue and Eileen even walked around the tables and introduced themselves - I found them to be very personable. For the budget bride, after being laughed at and rudely turned away by a lot of other caterers, Tasting's was a gem. Not only is their food delicious and beautifully displayed, but they follow up with their potential clients, are easy to get along with and very willing to work with any budget. read more

I can't say enough about Tastings! Sue and her exceptional staff catered my wedding last weekend, and they were beyond amazing in every possible way! Totally Awesome!!! Sue, Eileen and the rest of the crew at Tastings are phenomenal to work with. My daughter and her now husband were changing things right up to the very last moment and Sue, Eileen and Matt(?) just rolled with it. They were extremely helpful and patient. The whole reception from the cocktail hour, to the plated meal and even the "drunken appetizers" at the end just flowed. Our guests are still talking about how good the food was! BTW - if you like spicy vegetarian, absolutely get the curried mushroom and leek in phyllo. It is to die for! They also helped with the linens, chairs, silverware, plates, glassware and even let us borrow some of their decorations! What a load off that was! And really helped with the expense of the wedding. Sue and John did a FABULOUS job catering my wedding last July. After getting engaged and starting to look for vendors, one of my first thoughts was to find the lady who baked the almond cream cake for my cousin's wedding 8 years prior (Sue!). Our venue had a preferred list of caterers that did not include Tastings, but we paid the fee to go with Sue and John and we're so glad that we did; they are a high quality catering team at a VERY reasonable price. From the start, Sue was awesome to work with. She welcomed us into her home and presented us with delicious treats that she had baked on the very first meeting, and every meeting that followed. It didn't matter what we threw at her, Sue was happy to accommodate our culinary needs. Besides the average mix of carnivores and vegetarians, we were trying to please vegans, pescatarian parents of the bride, and throw in a little Chinese flair to honor my husband's heritage. Sue and John were happy to meet the challenge, and they did a fabulous job. Not only was the food DELICIOUS, the crew that works for Tastings did a fantastic job setting up and serving. Sue even danced the cake off to be sliced after we cut it as bride and groom. Sue has been working in the field for decades, so she was also a great resource for things other than food. She drove into Boston to meet us at a party rental store and helped us get a great deal on gorgeous rentals. We saved SO much money working with Tastings. One thing about Tastings is that they are really popular and get very busy in the summer. Sue or Eileen always got back to us; however, we had to wait until Mon or Tue to chat, as the weekends are their busiest times. They have been catering graduations, birthdays, weddings, and anniversary parties for my family for years; we love them as people, we love their food, and we love the value. Tastings Caterers catered our wedding in August of 2009. The food was very good, with mostly positive feedback from our guests. (One person complained about dry chicken, but most guests were very satisfied.) However, Tastings' co-owner Sue Zahner treated me in a very unprofessional manner in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and also sent me a rude, mean email about a year and a half after the wedding. The problem started when we were planning our tasting. Sue had seemed wonderful in our initial meeting. We live in NYC, but were planning a wedding in my hometown in MA. We explained our scheduling difficulties - my husband works market hours and was using all his vacation days for our honeymoon; I work at a church, so must be in NYC by Sunday morning. Sue promised to work around our schedules when planning a tasting. Starting in January of 2009, I tried to schedule our tasting. Sue had not told her employees of her promise and had forgotten all about it herself. We finally ended up with a tasting for the two of us and my parents on the Saturday night before Mother's Day. There was a torrential downpour that night, and my parents were about 20 minutes late, but we offered to start without them. When they arrived they were very apologetic. Afterwards, I sent Sue some notes about what we liked/didn't like/wanted to change. Sue sent back an email in which she excoriated me, my husband, and my parents for being 45 minutes late, and told me how rude it had been of me not to let her know that my father wasn't coming. (My father was there.) She also told me how rude it was of me to demand a Saturday night tasting during wedding season (once again, she had agreed to this and we had tried to schedule in January.) In response to my request for a bit more garlic in the tzatziki dip, Sue suggested that I make it myself. In several conversations trying to sort this out, Sue never apologized and was insistent that my father was not at the tasting. In the following weeks, Sue began to treat us poorly: she added a cake-cutting fee, and did not waive it until I produced an email from her written several months prior indicating that she would not charge this fee. When we requested that some leftovers be sent to our honeymoon suite (which she had earlier said they always do), she informed us that there are never any leftovers. Dealing with Sue Zahner in the weeks before my wedding turned me into a nervous wreck; my heart pounded and my hands shook whenever I saw an email from her in my inbox. I was so anxious about how she would behave that I hired a wedding coordinator at the last second so that I would not have to deal with Sue. The wedding coordinator was not very good, and managed her time poorly so that she did not have time to change into professional attire before the wedding. I was not impressed with her, but at least kept a buffer zone between Sue and me. In February of 2011 (18 months after our wedding), I received this email, which I am quoting in its entirety: "Your wedding reception makes us laugh every time we think of it and the memories of your party planner that night at your FORMAL wedding.... dressed in her blue jeans, non-fitting sweater, chunky pocketbook and no knowledge of weddings.. .just adds to the fun. I bet you are so happy that you had her on your side. I will be talking about your particular reception at an upcoming seminar that includes these details, so others get this picture. Just thought you'd like to know. Thanks so much for opening our eyes to who we like working with and who we want to go above and beyond for." The way Sue Zahner of Tastings treated us was unprofessional, rude, mean, and vindictive. Nothing could ruin our wedding, but it seemed like she was trying her best. This review is based strictly on administrative points as I never got so far as to experience the food or the actual people, in person. After picking our venue (Codman Estate) and choosing a date I started searching for a caterer. We expected about 100 guests and before I sent in the deposit for Codman I really wanted to sit down with the caterer and see what type of expense we were looking at, and what services they offered, etc. My husband-to-be is a soldier who is preparing to be gone for a while, so despite our wedding date being a full year away, I wanted to meet with catering companies while he was around to be part of the process. I know everyone is busy, as I know we are. I work 80 hour weeks and my fiance works bizarre hours and my Mom was going to join us from CT to chat with Tastings. When I made the appointment I made it carefully and blocked off that part of the day, had my mom make her plans to come north and had my fiance rush home to come with us. When it came time for the appointment, I reached out to confirm the night before and the next day, an hour and a half before we are supposed to meet I get an e-mail saying "oops, can't meet with you, how about tomorrow". In this situation a phone call would have been better! I just happened to check my email, if i hadn't we would have showed up in Framingham (we live in Boston). Either way, at this point my Mom is already up from CT and my fiance has already left his job early so I was very UGH about it, but it let it go, politely, and took them up on the offer to reschedule for 2 days away. Two days pass by. The same scheduling hurricane takes place and guess what!? They cancel - again. Come onnn. At this point I was done and silently scolding myself for giving them a second chance. I got the whole "your wedding is in a year so you are not a priority" vibe from them and, while it is true that it is in a year, my fiance is a soldier and while he is here I am admittedly neurotic about planning things so we can do it as a couple, together, instead of me doing everything alone while he is deployed. So, did a year make things less important to them? Sure. But not to me. We did ultimately find exactly what we wanted, so now I can spend the next 11 months excited about my wedding and not worrying about every little thing. read more

We were recently married and were so lucky to have found Tastings. I had actually had a different caterer laugh at me when I told her my budget and vision for our reception. Not Tastings though- Sue was easy to work with, down to earth, and flexible. We were able to get all of the food that we wanted at an affordable price and the guests were raving about each and every dish. (Even my foodie uncle could not stop talking about the lamb chops!) Her son ran our wedding reception and did a great job, kept us on time and was great to work with. I would recommend Tastings to anyone hosting an event. Just remember to confirm all of the details the week before, we had a miscommunication on table runners and ended up without them. We used Tastings for our wedding caterers for our wedding, and Sue and her staff were warm, generous and friendly. We got to do multiple tastings before the event and were overwhelmed with dishes that we wanted to serve our guests. Our opinion is that they charge too little for the fantastic food they provide, and many people still comment on the desserts Sue made for us. As a bonus, Sue is very easy to work with and knew us by name even amongst all the other couples at the tastings. We'll be sure to work with her again if we need catering in this area. read more

The food at our wedding was something we both cared a lot about, and we wanted the menu to be mostly vegetarian and creative, not just a pasta option and bread. But it was so discouraging getting quotes from several other vegetarian friendly, "foodie" caterers in the area. Then we found Tastings!The reasonable rates seemed too good to be true, but it wasn't. Once we went to one of their tasting events we were set (the food was great and atmosphere so fun at these tastings. Definitely go!) and we booked. And we are so glad we did. Not only did they create a great menu for us, Sue and Eileen are so knowledgeable about weddings they can basically sub in as your wedding planners. The tips and input they offered saved us money and helped us plan an even better event. The whole staff set up our venue beautifully, putting the centerpieces and tables together exactly as we asked. The managed the timing and execution well- it was such a relief not to have to be worrying about logistics of all this stuff the day of, and just focus on enjoying our wedding. And the food was perfect. We have gotten so many compliments on it, at the reception and in the days afterwards. Even from seasoned wedding guests: "The best wedding food I've ever had." One of my coworkers told me he would consider being vegetarian after trying such great non-meat dishes, too! Finally, as others have said, they sent us home with leftovers, which we shared with guests at the post wedding day picnic. Everyone was excited to see the dishes again! My (now) husband and I worked with Sue and Eileen from Tastings Caterers for our wedding on 8/15/14. Our venue had a list of about 8 caterers that we could use and after narrowing it down and emailing half of them (some were kind of jerks when they heard our budget), we knew immediately that Tastings was the right choice. Our biggest concerns - like most couples- was quality, cost and comfort level. Sue worked with us to make sure that we had the most amazing appetizers, entrees, wedding cake and other deserts for a price that was within our budget. Our guests went crazy for the food. They all commented too on how friendly the staff (servers and bartenders) were as well. It's not only the food that makes Tastings so great, it's the level of confidence we had in them to basically run "the show" for wedding day and prep. Sue met with us several times to review our menu, ask about decor options and to make sure that everything was there that we could possibly and realistically have. Eileen met with us at the party rental store to pick out all of the linens and ensure that we had a beautiful look and feel to our wedding space. From the first meeting with Sue and I placed all of my confidence in her that she would help us create the most beautiful and memorable wedding day. The hours d'oeuvres during cocktail hour were superb. They were passed and served to our guests on time and distributed evenly. The stationary hours d' oeuvres displays were gorgeous and the bar service was timely. The dinner was amazing, everything was delicious, seasoned perfectly, the right temperature, served on schedule but not rushed. Not only did our guests love the meal, we received a ton of compliments on the desserts. We choose to have our wedding cake served and also have desserts passed around to compliment the cake. Our cake was amazing (looking & tasting) it was red velvet Cake with cream cheese frosting and it was melt in your mouth delicious. The accompanying desserts were out of this world! All of that would have been enough for me, but to top it off the setup and layout of our wedding was stunning. I gave Tastings poorly drawn handwritten maps, and fuzzy ideas of the pictures in my head of how the reception space should be decorated and they made those dreams a reality. When I walked into the tent it was magical, I felt like I was in a dream, It was exactly how I pictured it. I then watched our guests enjoy themselves with service from staff that carried out their every wish with a smile. I haven't hired these caterers personally, but this past weekend I was at a wedding that they catered and I can say that the food was delicious, far superior to the food at most of the weddings I've been to. Sue and John are the best at what they do. I've worked with them for years in a professional capacity, and I've also used them in my own personal events- twice. Sue will remember you, and will listen to the details of your event. One of my brides called me panicked that she forgot to confirm the table decor with Sue. Sue was on top of it, and had it with her and had it set up. Not even breaking a sweat! When I work events with Tastings, I have sat at tables with guests and heard EVERYONE say "OMG! THIS IS THE MOST DELICIOUS FOOD!" I've never heard anyone complain or have a bad experience, They are truly good at what they do. I'm a HUGE fan of their Butternut squash ravoli. Their chicken is so yummy, and the salads are yummy too. Also, the desserts... SO GOOD! Sue is an amazing baker, and John is a fabulous cook. Their son Matt and ddaughter Amanda is professional at all the events I've seen and their staff works their butt off to give you an amazing event. I pretty much selected Tastings for our recent wedding based on their rave reviews on Yelp (& also instantly liking Sue as soon as we spoke on the phone). I can't say enough good things about them. Sue and everyone else at her company were absolutely wonderful to work with. We had decided that good food was a priority for our wedding and we were not disappointed. The food was phenomenal - our guests keep telling me how good it was. I especially appreciated their reasonable pricing (significantly lower than other quotes I received), responsiveness, flexibility, and willingness to accommodate a vegetarian menu. It was really great to not have to worry at all about the food and event "flow" - they just made it all happen. I want to Thank Sue Z of Tastings Caterers for all of her GREAT food and her Attention to every detail at my daughter's Wedding. Sue's expertise in all aspects on the Wedding Day - Was Outstanding!!!! Her Staff, Chefs, Bartenders, etc. etc. could not have done anymore to please all of the nearly 200 Guest. The appetizers, the hot and most delicious meal and the scrumptious deserts including a beautiful wedding cake baked and designed by Sue. I recommend Tastings 100%! They catered my August 2013 wedding at the Codman Estate and my husband and I could not have been happier with them! They provided pre ceremony iced tea and lemonade, appetizers, dinner, wedding cake, and a variety of desserts for our wedding. All of the food was amazing (our guests are still talking about how good everything was and one person said it was the best wedding food they have ever had!). They also had no problem making sure there were plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options for our guests. Sue and Eileen both work really hard to give you the best menu at the best price. Their quote for our reception was significantly lower than every other caterer we looked into, and I can't imagine anyone else being as good or better. To top it all off, they are amazing people to work with. We had several meetings with Sue in her home where she greeted us with hugs and sent us home with cookies, and took time not just to talk about our menu but to get to know us a bit as well. I also really appreciated that their group tastings give an opportunity to try so much of their food and see how they would set up for an event. Their entire staff is friendly and wonderful. They supplied servers and a bartender for our wedding and everyone was so nice, relaxed, and helpful. They took care of everything the day of the wedding - linens, dishes, silverware, and even helped put out our decorations. As busy as they are, they still run things like a small, family business. Sue and Eileen answer all emails personally, so if they are busy there can sometimes be some lag time with email responses. This was never a problem, but may be slower than some people are used to, so be patient! They are worth it! read more

Tastings was fantastic. They were the most reasonably priced caterer that we met with, and Sue and Eileen are both very friendly and easy to work with. The food was fantastic, and our guests keep talking about how they all went back for seconds! Sue is also REALLY into desserts, so there were LOTS of desserts and three flavors of delicious cake. They also set up all the chairs for the ceremony, and then changed the room over twice for us. Everything went smoothly, and I didn't have to worry about a thing. I would definitely recommend Tastings to a friend, and would consider hiring them again for future events. read more

perfect! they catered or wedding in April and I'm still dreaming about their food. a little bit of a rocky start with communication but when i look back on it, i didn't need to worry about anything because really, everything turned out perfect. please keep in mind they are a family business, so when they are busy catering, I'm not sure if anyone is at the computer. which is honestly not a bad thing, because they will be totally focused on you when it's time to be. the food was absolutely delicious, and we LOVED our menu, we tweaked it quite a few times and added stuff right up to a few weeks before the date, with no problem. i mean we asked for some really awesome stuff and got it. i won't go into every single thing we had but i will mention the main/best stuff. appetizers we're a huge hit, sliders we're incredible and i highly recommend getting them, mini quesadillas were fantastic plus veggie stuffed mushrooms were just perfect. dinner was the best!! tacos and enchiladas? totally nailed it. had a grilling station and an awesome pasta station too!! at the end of the night i was stuffing my face with the left over tortellini Alfredo. we ended with assorted pies and ice cream instead of cake and i regret nothing. it was all beautiful. thank you sue and crew for such an incredible outcome! read more

We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Tastings; so many that we are not even sure where to begin. They are really, really good people, therefore we are going to mention our experience with them before getting to the food. Planning a wedding can be stressful enough, but when adding in that you have a pre-determined list of caterers to choose from, that level of stress greatly increases. From the list, we quickly learned that Tastings was not only a more affordable option, but the option that put us at ease and filled us with excitement. After our first meeting with Sue in her own home, it was obvious that she cared about us as people, rather than treating us as a customer only. She is warm, friendly and giving, and assured us that we would have a terrific wedding that fit into our budget. If you choose Tastings you will see throughout the period leading up to your wedding or event, they are a team that puts the customer first and will do everything possible to help make it work for you. We also want to praise Eileen for her patience with us and for helping tie it all together. The whole team works like a well-oiled machine, and we cannot thank them enough. Let's not forget about the food...the FOOD! Soooo fantastic! Everything is just awesome, and there are so many options to choose from it can be a bit overwhelming at first. Another great quality that Tastings has is that they throw catering parties for potential wedding clients, which allows for the couple and 2 guests to sample a vast menu which also includes wine and signature drinks. I'm very disappointed with Tastings Caterers. I emailed them and after no response, I called them a week later. They recalled receiving my email and said they would send me a menu and proposal. Three weeks later, I still had not heard from them or received anything from them. I emailed them again and Sue wrote me back and asked me to send her more information like how many people and an idea of our budget. I had already given the woman on the phone this information, but I emailed it back to her again. It's been over a month, and I haven't heard anything back from them. I'm shocked at how unprofessional they are and by the poor communication. I wish I hadn't found their name on the list of caterers at my event venue. They've been a waste of my time and energy. read more

I used Tastings Caterers for both of my son's Bar Mitzahs. We had over 200 people at each and I could not have been happier with this catering company. Sue (the woman in charge of the employees and parties) was so sweet and made sure everything was how we wanted it. The food was excellent and everything was extremely professional. I wish I had more kids so I had an excuse to book them for another event, maybe when one of them get married. If I could give 6 stars I would. My now wife and I had Tastings cater our wedding last September and we couldn't have been any happier! I initially found out about Tasting through a Best of Boston article, I read some additional reviews and set up an appointment. Sue had us come to her house for the initial meeting which incredibly enough was within walking distance of our own house! Within minutes of meeting her we knew we had found the right person for the Job. Sue is so nice and laid back without even tasting her food we booked her for our wedding. A few months later we attended on of her tastings at the Endicott Estate in Dedham. They allowed us to each have a guest so we both brought along our mothers. The entire staff was very courteous as well as knowledgeable about all of the dishes they were serving. Needless to say I was in a food coma after the event. I found it very helpful that they provided a packet that listed all of the displays and dishes we tasted. After much debate my wife and I had planned our menu and met with Sue a second time to go through the details. She was very accommodating with regards to our budget and walked us through everything step by step. We emailed back and forth a few times making minor adjustments and gave her the contact info for the other vendors. She also helped us out with our tent rental. We had contacted a few different companies for pricing but her friend Mike Tomasetti at Come Rain Or Shine was thousands less. When it came time for the site inspection Sue showed up with her husband John and son Matt and they pretty much planned the whole layout for us from start to finish. They went way beyond what I had expected. I worked in the restaurant industry for 15 years and I've never seen such a well oiled machine. They are a blast to boot. At the day of the wedding they showed up at the crack of dawn to start setting up as well as icing down all the beer (we provided our own alcohol) to have it cold by the time the reception started. When Jess and I arrived the place looked amazing we were thrilled. Our pictures had taken longer than expected so Sue made sure we had a full plate of appetizers waiting for us at our table. During the cocktail hour our guests had been drinking mostly wine, despite there being a full bar and Sue took it upon herself to run out and by a few more cases of wine to ensure we wouldn't run out. I can't say enough about their crew THEY ARE AMAZING!!!! All of our guests raved about the food and my wife's Aunt who is the Director of nursing at St. Patricks Manor has booked them for half a dozen events since our wedding. They are top notch and if you are considering them for an event don't hesitate for a second you will be happy you went with them. read more
