WOW! What an amazing & incredible experience. The lights & music were so beautiful. We booked our tickets the day before & weren't sure what to expect. The creativity & work that went into setting this up are pure genius! We did the basic ticket, not the VIP & it was a great experience. I'm happy this is a permanent structure & not just temporary, as originally planned. I hope they add a few more displays in the coming years. I highly recommend experiencing Sensorio.

Oh my gosh, what a wonderful date night. Got there early so had time to sit and listen to some fun jazz before the sun went down, and we saw the light installations. My sweet day bought the terrace tickets, which are the expensive ones for the special seats and a free drink. Although I'm extremely grateful and we had a nice table overlooking sunset with a fireplace I absolutely do not recommend spending the exorbitant extra amount just for that. You can experience everything else for the regular ticket price. Has the sunset the mountains lit up and this was by far one of the best date locations someone could take me. I recommend trying to check it out. Everybody should come here at least once.

This was an awesome experience. Very accessible, my husband was able to push me around in a transport chair. All the displays were amazing. People asked for our best experience on our trip and this ranked very high .

For the uninitiated, Sensorio is a massive outdoor art display using lights. One can gain entry before sunset, walk around to see the display before it gets dark and take a second tour after sunset. They have music show on stage, an onsite food court and a Mexican taco truck in addition to various drink options at some of the displays. There were about seven displays and dimensions was my favorite. It was hypnotizingly mesmerizing to watch the interplay of light and motion. The field of lights is massive. Though the sun set and there was no moon in sight, the ambient glow from the horizon didn't allow the lights to be fully visible. I felt they were kind of dim. The photos infact looked better than what my eyes could capture, it was almost like the elusive northern lights. Our Alaskan cruise director kept telling us that our cameras can see the northern lights better than us. This was like that! I would highly recommend going on new moon night if possible. And pack for the drop in temperatures after sunset.

This was one of the most amazing art installations we've ever seen and was definitely worth the experience. Personally we didn't get the full value out of the upgraded terrace tickets but it was beautiful and we regret nothing. My wife loved the exhibits and her smile shined brighter than a million lights!

Where to start just amazing, staff from security to folks working food venues top notch. Different packages to purchase to attend that offer different views , services, and perks depending on your budget. Your choice of where to view and enjoy this wonderful show of fiber-optic lighting. The selection of where to enjoy these amazing displays are endless. The lighting displays along with music pieces takes you away what an amazing experience adults and kids the young and old can enjoy this wonderful show. Go see for yourself and hey ISYOY my friends.

Attended a private catered event. Nice outdoor seating with a fireplace for cooler nights. Perfect trip for a couple or group of friends.

Sensorio is an immersive outdoor art installation located in Paso Robles. It spans 35 acres, was started in 2019, and is open from December to March. It's a glowing exhibit so it happens after the sun sets. We came minutes before they opened at 4:30pm and there was already a line waiting. Admission was $65 per adult and $30 per child. They also have the VIP admission if you want the terrace view and complimentary drink. There was ample parking in the parking lot. Our admission gave us access to see the seven available exhibits which were full of lights everywhere. The field of lights were mesmerizing as we saw them go from unlit before sunset to captivating once pitch black. There was also an outdoor lawn with live music, food and drinks available, and fire pits to keep warm. The multiple fire pits throughout the entire area were greatly needed because it was very cold and was a nice spot to take a break from walking. Overall we spent about 1.5 hours here. It wasn't super packed the day we went but perhaps it was expected because the live music didn't play for that long. I'd recommend bringing more layers than you think you need because it can get really chilly.

Such and amazing experience I love these kinds of things around here in LA when it's the holidays but in paso it's all the time and it's just so relaxing and cool to see the field of lights You can drink and sit and enjoy as the sun sets and relax into the night It has a good walk of a path if the field and then another area with more art installation

I had a great time visiting Sensorio. I arrived right before sunset and lounged in the food and music area for a bit. I got a crab patty melt and garlic fries. Both were a little pricey and delicious! Once it got dark I followed the signs to the lights. There were different sections to visit. My favorite was DIMENSIONS by HYBYCOZO with the metal sculptures. Some of them you could go inside and some you could even spin around. It was a nice and breezy night and it was great to walk around and enjoy. Definitely worth a visit.

Sensorio is pretty at night. I got there after dark so missed all the sunset activities like the live band and getting to sit inside an exhibit to enjoy the lights changing. But the different exhibits were still fully lit and bright. I had one hour to go through the entire map and it was doable, just not a full experience as I would like. It is really pricey to take the whole family here. 2 adults and 1 kid cost $180. There were no discounts for arriving at the last hour either. Parking was really easy in the last hour, restrooms were the nicer port-a-potties, and staff were friendly. We were one of the last people to walk through so we were able to see the exhibit clearly. Many areas in the fields, the columns, and the fishing rods were down or broken. But there were so many lights that I think generally people would miss. Definitely give yourself a few hours to enjoy this place to make it worth all the money you spend and to see the exhibits at a slow pace.

We went to sensorio in 2022 when it was fairly new and it was a good experience overall, loved the outdoors lights, the wine experience, the music and the outdoor games. They do charge for parking too, and the food inside is expensive but the idea is great and I hope they expand more. The cost used to be good, expensive but good, not sure how it is now. Their customer service at the time was friendly, and it was nice experience overall.

    Ask the Community - Sensorio

I'm arriving late at Paso Robles, eta 8:20, can I make reservations at the restaurant or bar instead without any tickets to go in?

Sensorio is the Field of lights. the bar is inside the park, and they are only open Thursday- Sat or Sunday. I think you will need a ticket to get in. You can check their…

Is there a lot of walking?

Yes, absolutely. Mostly dirt paths but some seating for breaks throughout. Hope this helps.

Are there any discount codes? Senior discounts?

No. But there may be very minimal discount codes online.

Does Sensorio stays open when it Rains? Website says that refunds will be made for inclement weather or unsafe weather conditions, but did want to make sure Sensorio remains open during regular rain weather.

Inclement weather may cause a cancellation. Those decisions are made 24-48 hours prior to the event. Sensorio stays open if it is just light rain. In the case of a…

Since we cannot take any drinks inside, do the food booths sell milk for toddlers?

Sensorio will allow that considering the circumstances. Sensorio however, does not sell Milk.

Is there a bar available to general admission paying customers? If not, are we able to carry in our own wine bottle? After all, you are in the heart of wine country! Thank you.

there are 1-2 food trucks that also serve alcohol

What time should I get there?

Sensorio opens about 1 hour before sunset. We recommend arriving within the first hour of opening, so you can enjoy the sunset transition.

Hi, wanted to celebrate my wife's Birthday here at VIP table, can we bring a small birthday cake?

I will say they do have Security and according to what is posted it Mentions clear water bottles only. So I would call ahead and find out. Just to make sure. I hope this was…

I have a 6 month old baby with me and I can't find a shred of info on their admission?

Hi! A baby or child under 3, are free admission. We were just there and there were a lot of strollers and access on the path is good, but it can get crowded when walking around. Have fun!

Is this a rain or shine event?

I have no idea! I think their website should tell you.

Can I bring my own food?

Unfortunately, you can't bring outside food or drinks. They inspect bags at the gate and will ask you to dump any outside food or drink.

How is the VIP experience? Good drinks? Great views?

I personally enjoyed it because I took my mom and we got to just sit up there and hang out and watch the sunset as everything unfolded... The fire pits are not warm though lol deceiving…

Is there seating for General Admission? I

There are firepits, picnic tables, and benches available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Does anyone seem to know when it would be over? or is it always there during the year?

They were supposed to go away a long time ago, but we have the pandemic to thank that they never left town. Currently the website is selling tickets until September 5th.

Can we just show the QR Code on our phones for our tickets or do we need paper copies? I just want clarification, thank you!

    Yes, QR codes are fine.

If I buy tickets in advance for a Friday but can't arrive until 7:30 or 8:00, is it still worth it and how long does it take to walk thru and enjoy it?

You'll miss a glorious sunset and also the lights starting to flicker and getting brighter and brighter till it's dark and they're full on lit. Granted this is for late Sept/Oct. You can walk through in under an hour. The best experience is to go…

Do you walk or drive thru or what?

    It's a walk thru experience.

Hi I'm flying this weekend just to see this from the east coast but i just saw they sold out online. What's the probability if I stand in line i could get in?

    Good probability!

Tickets are sold out on the day I want to visit 7/22. Could I come early to get ticket at the door?

They do sell tickets at the door. You just need to wait in line.

    Can we take pictures?

    Yes, but with no flash.

We scored a charming AirBnB villa, and sampled various venues around the area for wine, beer, and olive oil tasting. On our last evening, we decided to head into town and seek a nice dining spot. Though it was a Tuesday, our first choice restaurant had a waiting list. That gave us time to stroll around the downtown plaza area. Many of the shops had just closed - this is not a nightlife kind of place as far as shopping goes, but the foodie places were just getting started. Our Sweet Granddaughter had a great time hanging out with her older cousins, and they took her farther around the park area than Dear Hubby and I had the energy to go on a hot night. The plaza has a small town vibe with lots of charm. Someone suggested a Hallmark movie kind of vibe. I agree with that assessment. Bring in some set decorators with some additional floral decor, and you'd be ready to be in the movie mode. We ended up at a different restaurant than we had originally planned for, and that was a good choice. Because of the wait we'd encountered it gave us more time to enjoy the unique architecture and vintage charm of the downtown Paso vibe.
