The first employee couldn't help me and sent me to the customer service/lumber ordering desk so they could look up what's on sale online. It's crazy that they don't know what's on sale in the store and you have to point out the sale items online or bring in a flyer to show them. It's 2020! Never seen a retail store that doesn't know what's on sale in their own store. So I get to the help desk and the employee there tells me he can't look up the sale deals because he says he doesn't have internet there (which is a total lie). He flat out refuses to help me and then tells me to wander to the far side of the store where maybe someone can find out (Huh?!?! So the help desk can't help me?). So I go to the cashier and ask her if my item is still on sale and she sends me back to the customer service desk where they DO have internet. Now the FOURTH employee I deal with finally looks up my item online to make sure it's on sale. So the first help desk guy simply refused to look up my item online and lied to me and said he doesn't have internet. This is the worst customer service experience I've had in a very long time. I don't understand why this man was so rude and refused to help me. Isn't that his job? At the time, I felt like maybe he saw that I'm a young woman in a hardware store and didn't feel like helping me because I'm not a professional contractor, and thought he could get away with treating me like that. Or maybe he was having a bad day. But reading other reviews, this type of behaviour and sour attitude seems par for the course. If you come here, you need to look up what's on sale beforehand, so you can tell this store the prices of their own items. And don't talk to anyone unless you absolutely need to.

Toronto Redimix / G & L…read more In my opinion- As an experienced Redimix driver, I worn other drivers of the worst experience I've had from driver trainer to management. This is a picture from one of many videos of the driver trainer who has been driving Redi-Mix for 1 year 6 months total, according to him. Anthony, truck # 85 Firstly, the driver trainer drove without a seatbelt for 3 days - The trainer couldn't even shift properly and was grinding gears one through five every time we had to come to a stop. - (I let him know I have over 10 years experience in the Ready mix industry as a driver, and I have trained before ) On job, I'm standing on the back of the platform looking in the back of the truck, I see exactly what we're pouring and i know we need to add water, I let the trainer know my opinion -that we need to put water, and instead of having a look and help adjust the load, He says, you know what you gotta do because you're older than everybody so you know better, and starts laughing. I stepped down, he took over. Very unprofessional in front of customers. He comes back in the truck to lean on my shoulder heavily and says "What's the matter princess?" I didn't say anything back. Then he began to get ready to leave, and then we left. (I'm sitting in the pass. side) - At a few job sites that we went to he unloaded his garbage from the truck on the ground, I'm looking at him, I didn't know what to say. He looks at me and says "doing my part for the environment" - Runs a red light as he is training, doesn't even care. We were finishing up at another job, I'm doing my cleaning at the back of the truck with the recycling system. (I've done this over 1000 times in my career as a driver) and the trainer walks up to me saying, let me show you my technique, I say no problem. I stand back as he starts to take things apart and I say "if you wanna take over it's OK," he freaks out, throws the hose in the air and throws his arms up in the air and walks away yelling "you don't listen to me , you don't wanna learn." I finish cleaning up, get into the truck and we began to pull out of the job site, and he says to me you don't listen. I didn't know what to say, but I spoke from the heart, I said "we're gonna be fellow coworkers, I don't think we're gonna be tight though." Then- He started yelling - pull over the f-king truck right now Pull over the fucking truck right now, throwing his arms up in the air yelling pull over the f-king truck now. I came to a quick safe stop on the side of the road He yells "get the f-k out of the driver seat right now" I get into the passenger seat, he jumps in the driver seat. We start driving and he starts yelling, You don't listen -you don't listen -you don't listen kept on repeating himself like a broken record. We got back to the yard. He called the office and said to the manager me and the trainee we're not seeing eye to eye today, and I got out at the Yard and before leaving, I let management know what had happened and I was told that I would be training with somebody else on the following week. Starting Monday, It was Friday.. I received No phone call Monday, I called them on Tuesday, I was told I would be called back shortly. No call back. I called them on Wednesday to speak to Dino the manager for him to say this isn't working out, After I explain to Dino the manager what had happened he completely disregarded what was said. (How could the Manager allow such behaviour to go on.) I was let go, but I was not given a reason as to why ? It didn't matter what was said, didn't matter what recordings I had. In my opinion, Toronto Redimix is not managed properly, and for that reason, there is no future at G & L. Fellow Driver
