I recently hired Senske for lawn aeration service, and unfortunately my experience was pretty disappointing. During the service, the technician damaged four sections of my cement grass curbing. On top of that, he initially missed half of my front yard and only completed it after I pointed it out. The tech also seemed to be in a rush the entire time--at one point he nearly got thrown from the machine--and overall appeared careless in how he was operating. While he was polite and acknowledged the damage, he told me that someone named Cody would follow up and take care of it. It's now been 6 days, and I haven't heard anything from the company. I also called their office and was told someone would contact me to address the issue, but again, no follow-up. I understand that mistakes can happen, but the lack of communication and failure to resolve the problem is frustrating. At this point, I'm left with property damage and no clear path to getting it fixed. I hope Senske steps up and makes this right, but based on my experience so far, I'd recommend proceeding with caution. read more

We have been dealing with a horrible case of powdering mold on our giant Maple tree for several years now. Called Senske in the Spring and they treated the tree. The first spray didn't get rid of all the white mold so they came back a month later and resprayed at no charge! They just came back today for a preventative final season spray. Since the second spray, our big, beautiful Maple has had bright green leaves with only a scant amount of powdering mold...it's extremely difficult to get every bit on a tree this size. We have enjoyed sitting on our deck under the shade of this magnificent tree without any crumpling, withering, white spotting leaves constantly falling on us. It's been so awesome and we should have called Senske years ago to heal our tree. Now we will have them try to make our lawn as beautiful as our tree...fingers crossed! And by the way, each person that has come to our home was courteous, professional and let us know when they were 30 minutes out. read more

Steve shows up - mostly on time and proceeds to tell me that in fact you do not offer the service I had inquired about. I then mentioned we had talked about and why did he tell that it was a service you provided. He didn't recall was his response. Conversation took place 2 days ago. After information from my phone calls were routed to the correct Manager, I received a call from the Manager from the city of the service. (He was not involved in any way with this error, but he made it right.) He was very polite, pleasant, and apologized for what happened. The refund quickly arrived as he said it would. Mix-ups happen, that's life. I worked in customer service 31 years, the follow up is the #1 important thing to me. I will continue to be a Senske customer as I have been for years. I asked Senske to come and do a pest spray at my house. We had a day scheduled and I did ask them if they could let me know that morning approximately when they would be at my house like morning or afternoon. they never let me know what time so I waited all day and they finally came around four. I called again a couple of weeks later, for a respray on a beehive that was missed and a day was scheduled. Again I asked them to let me know approximately when they would be at my house, but I never heard back from them and they never did come for that respray! I waited all day for them to come and even cancelled appointments, so that I made sure I was here when they came. They never called me to apologize or to let me know why they did not show up! I have still not heard from them and that was a week ago. Since then I have called them to cancel my further services with them. At that time I was told that somebody with customer retention would be in touch and I still have not heard from anybody. read more

I have been given so many compliments on my lawn. I feel guilty because Senske keeps it lush and green. Even in the winter before and after snow my lawn was green. It looked fake, like lush Astro turf or painted grass. They treat it every other month and do a special treatment before winter and a pre-spring feed & seed that makes it beautiful as soon as the snow melts. No one could believe what they were seeing! If I ever have a problem, someone comes out right away to check, diagnose & treat. I had a few dog spots and they put a couple plugs of healthy grass in to get it to grow back. I've had no complaints with their service and their techs have all been friendly and so helpful. read more

Terrible company. We've had an ongoing billing dispute with senske for the better part of a year now. They've been attempting to bill us for services that were not performed, services that were not requested, desired, needed, etc. In fact, it's a service that wouldn't be possible at our property. With every phone call Senske acknowledges that the billing is a mistake and that the services were never performed and their billing mistake will be corrected. A few weeks after each above mentioned phone call we'll receive the same invoice with a threatening letter. In addition to the predatory billing issue, the services they have performed for us have been sub par and ineffective. Waste of money. read more

I had Senske services come and spray for spiders and bugs the gentleman that was here didn't do a good enough job rude to me didn't know his prices basically argued with me I was told by a Senske employee they would do a complimentary spray since I'm still seeing bug activity and they won't come back out without charging me another fee not real thrilled with this company and wasn't real thrilled with the lady on the phone today she was awfully rude I would never pick this company again obviously customer service is not important to them read more

Daniel was the technician who performed numerous applications throughout the spring, summer, and fall. He was prompt, friendly, and efficient in doing his job. I live in Hunter's Glen. I specifically wanted a home in this particular HOA for two reasons; location and the beautiful lawns and yards of the homeowners. The homeowners in this community take a great deal of pride in their homes and yards. Imagine our disappointment this summer as we enter the community that once had lush green common lawn areas are now full of clover, dandelions, weeds and thistles. The grass is now scalped down to the dirt in many areas, dead grass and un-edged grass lines that have grown over the sidewalks. The HOA needs to check references and reviews before they ever hire another landscape company. How Senske stays in business is a mystery to me. I hope the HOA can get their (our) money back, but we all know that will never happen. Besides being a right to work state, I think we are also a "buyer beware" state as well. read more

The 5 stars on this review are 100% due to Shane Fletcher. He came out last year to do our sprinkler turnoff. He was very helpful, knowledgeable, and informative. He said he would be in touch early this year in order to turn the systems back on as well as repair some of the lines that had been cut. Shane was a man of his word. He goes above and beyond to make sure the job is done right, and although he is very busy he doesn't cut corners to save time. I hope Senske appreciates this rockstar of an employee. read more

The worst part was inconsistency, the best part is yet to be figured out. I signed up for Senske services online as this approach is very convenient. I has sprinkler blow-outs, winterizations and spring turn-on's. I have a shut-off valve thats deeper than 7 feet therefore you require a 10 foot wrench and each year the "technician" would arrive with the wrong wrench. I tried enduring this nonsense for three years. The dealbreaker was when I had them out to turn-on my sprinklers and was advised two valves needed replacing and was quoted 100 dollars for replacing 2 residential irrigation valve guts? I walked out to inspect the valves at a later date and was able to turn the valve hard enough to get the diaphragm to close without replacing the valve guts and that hundred dollars can be spent elsewhere. read more

Have had communication problems with Senske all summer. In spite of their quarterly spraying we had thousands of ants inside our home when we returned. We spoke directly to the local rep and he assured us he would stay on top of it, but did not and broke multiple appointments. More than once the office did not even know we had appointments. The Board of Directors for Hunters Glen HOA entered into a contract with Senske this year to provide landscape maintenance of our common areas. Hunters Glen is well known for its beautiful landscaping and meticulous maintenance of those areas. The hiring of Sensky was due to the retirement of our previous provider (one man and his wife). Senske was very professional in their presentation and assurances but shortly thereafter is when we began to realize what a terrible mistake we made. Despite the big show they put on with lots of equipment showing up, flashing lights and all, our landscaping was deteriorating rapidly. The mowing crew repeatedly scalped our lush lawns, weeds, clover, and even tree saplings were taking over what was pristine before hiring Senske. Our treasurer has made multiple efforts to straighten out their billing to no avail. Last week we called a special meeting to which the manager of Senske promised to attend to address our concerns. He did not show up or even give us the courtesy of calling. That was the final straw and we have terminated our contract. We expect that it will take at least two years to restore the landscaping we took so much pride in. DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH SENSKE. I guaranty you will regret it!!! This is the first year I decided to have my lawn sprayed by Senske. I keep my yard in good shape and regularly treat it with weed and feed. After the first treatment in May, there were a lot of weeks that were not killed. After the second treatment, the grass continued to green, but the there were numerous weeds throughout the lawn. A month ago, a Senske sales woman knocked on the door and said, "It looks like your lawn could use Senske services. There are a lot of weeds in the lawn and we can take care of that." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. After telling her that I am currently are having Senske treating the lawn she said she would contact the office and tell them they need to come out and respray. No one ever contacted me for a respray. Weeks later they called and said they were coming out for their scheduled spray. I told them I didn't want to pay for an additional service until the current weed problem was taken care of. A week later, a technician came out and re-applied the weed and fertilizer. After a week, you can see where he sprayed by the dying weeds, but you can also see where he missed, by the weeds, (no pun intended) growing like weeds. This week a lady from their office called and said they were going to be back out for a paid re-spray. I told her that I didn't want to pay for a re-spray until the service I already paid for was working. She told me the weather this year was very hot and the weeds were growing because of that. I told her that I had just had the lawn treated 11 days ago, and I didn't want to schedule another treatment so soon, before the last one had time to work. She became argumentative and asked me if I wanted to cancel my service. Because of Senske's poor service and the poor attitude of their employees, I did cancel my service. Worst pest control service ever, have used them for many years only to find out that I have had bats in the upper part of my garage for years. I called and they said that they don't deal with bats which is a common pest in the northwest. WTH total waste of thousands of $$$. read more

I've been with Senske for years and have been overall happy. Whoever is in charge now locally is dropping the ball time after time. It took me weeks to get them to finally come and perform a lawn maintenance that I had scheduled. They fail to return phone calls multiple times. The final straw was I received a text telling me they would be at my home between 3pm-4pm last Friday to spray. I rearranged my day so that I could be home during that window. Apparently they showed up at 1:30, checked my gate saw it was locked and drove away. I called them to see what was going on and reschedule. They promised a call back that never came. I tried calling this morning and was left on hold forever until I finally hung and called a competitor. Look at Senske's recent reviews, apparently its not just me...run don't walk, to anyone else in the area. They absolutely can't be worse than the service I've received from Senske lately. read more

After having a good experience with Senske's services last fall, this past spring I called to schedule sprinkler turn-on. I specifically requested a time frame almost 6 weeks out because we were still having freezing weather in our area. 2 weeks later I get a phone call saying the tech is on the way. I explained to him that I thought I was scheduled for later in the month and he told me to call the main office, which I did. The girl I spoke to gave me 2 dates to choose from, and I chose the later one. Well, the tech was on his way to my house on the earlier date! I again called and said that I needed the service to be later due to the current weather conditions. I was told a manager would call me back. They didn't, and​ I called again a couple days later. I then got told that they were so busy and they didn't know if they​ could fit me in their schedule. Um, I had purposefully​ called EARLY to get a specific time frame and they messed it up. Not ONCE did anyone offer me a discount on a future service. My husband ended up turning the sprinklers on himself (I guess it's not that hard). Their customer service is terrible and they charge almost double what any other lawn care company in the area does. Keep looking, there are better companies out there who actually care about their customers instead of their bottom line. read more
