We have used Ramey's for some time. In the Spring we had our lawn sprayed for weed control and fertilizer. Within days we had several dead brown spots on our lawn. They came out to look and said it couldn't be them. It is a very large yard and we do not have dogs that are on the lawn. No accountability for what I know they did. read more

I've been using Ramey's Yard Care service since I moved into my house four years ago. Once again, Brady did a great job for broadleaf spraying in my lawn and Alex did a great job spraying for bugs! Very disappointed in their service! Began using their lawn fertilizing and weed control service 5 to 6 years ago. Lawn looked good for the first few years but as the years went by it began to regress to looking like it did before they started in spite of their services. The results on the lawn did not support the numerous red faced and clinch fisted claims that nothing had chanced with the products they were using. Also, unfortunately, the owner appears to be perhaps less than honest as a refund for the dismal service never arrived. The owner was also angry that these concerns were documented and sent to him via email. It was hoped that supporting a local business would be a win win for the business and the customer but that was not the case. After 3 seasons of sub par results their services were terminated.... buyer beware! read more

Very poor communication. After spending 5 years of using Ramey and recommending them to other neighbors, we left them due to their poor communication and scheduling. Spoke to their office numerous times about them not providing a summer service and they never returned my phone calls. Spoke to the owner who didn't want to listen me and wanted me to talk to the office manger who was one of the staff that didn't return my phone call. Due to me being unhappy the owner thought it best we part ways and they would stop providing service to us. It was a strange way to take responsibility of a problem that they had within their business. Happy to not be dealing with them anymore. I do have to mention that Aaron who did the lawn service for us always did a great job. read more

Excellent Service!! After taking care of my lawn most of the summer I decided to hire a service. I called a few places I'd been referred to with no response, then called Rameys to see if they could add me to their schedule with it being so late in the year.... I was so pleased with the cost and they could start just a couple days later! They are on time, do an amazing job, are very attentive to details & when I was unable to.... they even moved a few of the kid toys without complaining! Reality. I could not keep up on my yard like I wanted to. I finally gave up trying to take care of it all myself, work full time and take care of all the other things I needed to in life. Once I made the decision, I made the calls. Scheduled the people I needed to get the job done to my satisfaction. I am a bit of a perfectionist. I had so many different people doing different things, things that needed doing, but life was not any easier trying to schedule my day for services and getting all the pets contained so that they could do their jobs. Many of my neighbors use Ramey's, so one day I made the call. I needed someone to try to curb it all into one easy to manage service. They did just that. They are always courteous and on time. They call me before scheduling my weekly mow, my fertilizing and the bug spraying to make sure my 4 dogs are in. I never have to shut my dogs inside all day waiting for them to come. I know when and for how long. If a time does not work, they reschedule. They now take care of my business as well. They make sure I know if a sprinkler is out of service so that I can get it fixed. If my yard is having issues, they let me know what I need to do. I have a separate sprinkler company that does a great job at home and work, but Ramey's has gone above and beyond and they have fixed a few things on the spot when I needed them to. I also have someone who weeds and trims and cares for all the shrubs and trees and plans my landscaping...and they really try to work together. As I stated, I have tried other companies and services, but I had so many people coming and going I could not keep track of it all between home and work and trying to get the dogs in. I used a natural lawn care person for spraying and fertilizing and I was completely happy with them. But I needed someone who could do more. One stop shopping in a way. I had someone who mowed and trimmed only...and was very irregular at showing up. Making cleaning dog waste and toys a headache. And a spray company for bugs, trees and lawn care...they got a little too close to my rabbit hutch one too many times, even after saying do not spray near them! Ramey's has greatly simplified my life! There are other good companies out there, but this is the one for me. Yes, I still need a sprinkler company and someone to do the trees, shrubs and flower beds. But the three companies I have chosen seem to flow together seamlessly for me. And...the phone is ringing. It is Ramey's. Holiday weekend. Called to ask if they were coming today or if they were a day behind because of the holiday. Just need to know if I need to go home at lunch and put the dogs in. Rameys is a great and personal alternative to the bigger yard care companies, which we hav used in the past. My grass had a fungus that was killing it and creating many patches and dead spots. It took a couple years treatment, but they have brought it back to life and it is healthy, green and has great new growth. They have also treated my trees, removed roots that were stunting the tree growth and also treated our outside area for bugs, which has really reduced the amount of wasp in the summer. Scott (the owner) is very involved in his business, returns calls and always strives to make sure they do a good job or correct anything that dos not go well. We highly recommend Rameys! read more

Called a week ago to get weed control service. We were told someone would call us. We got a call from Chris Tues, nice guy, did an estimate which we accepted and asked how soon they could do it. He said someone would call us Wed to set an appt to do the job. No one called so late Thurs we called back. They said they would have someone call us. We got a call late Fri saying they understood we needed an estimate. I explained we already got the estimate, we just want the job done. He said they would be out this morning, first thing, making us a priority between 8-8:30 to do the job. We cal l.j ed at 9 and the secretary was apologetic but didnt know what to do so said she would just tell the owner. We told her to cancel the job, we wilk try to find someone else to do it. Scott was very knowledgeable about what my yard needed. We moved to our recent location 3 years ago and our yard was in bad shape due to a Great Dane! We tried several ways to improve it but not until Ramey's treated our lawn was it restored to a beautiful and healthy condition! I've been using Ramey's Yard Care for several years now, and have no complaints. I'd say their service is excellent. The owner came to my home a couple of days ago, to check on a problem with my lawn. I thought the lawn had bugs and grubs, but after he checked it out, it was only my sprinklers. I highly recommend Ramey's Yard Care for pest control. We have a daylight basement and have been having a problem with Hobo spiders getting into our ground floor in the summer. Scott Ramey promptly answered my email, came out to give me an estimate and then completed the application inside and out today, going above and beyond. He uses a non-toxic chemical inside, around the baseboards, and sprays the exterior around windows and doors and he also treats the eaves for wasp nests. read more

I live in a rental house in downtown Coeur d'Alene and to say the least the house has not be "kept up". Siding is rotting, foundation exposed to elements etc.... I had Ramey's Yard Care come out for a free Estimate for Pest Control to see if they could help with my Hobo Spider and Wasp Nest in siding problems. They came out, gave me a very competitive bid and sprayed the same day. I have them come out 4 times a year and I have been pest free ever since. First of all I didn't use rameys yard care a neighbor did. I will be talking to them after finishing this yelp. The worker that was spraying my neighbors lawn was spraying thru the chain link fence. I asked him nicely to please not spray my yard. He started to argue with me and I tried to tell him I didn't want chemicals on my lawn because I have dogs and organic veg. He was very rude and didn't stop. I asked his name he said berry. I called the company and had a return call from the owner scott. He was very rude from the beginning. Basically saying I'm a liar. Like I have nothing better to do then spend time calling businesses and lie about there workers. Bottom line I gave 1 star because I had to. If there were an option for neg stars that's what I would of chose. If you want your neighbors to continue liking you do not use this business. All I was looking for when I called was a I will talk to berry and make sure he doesn't do this again. I should also add his name is not berry it's Erin go figure good thing he's not a lair. read more
