She was easy to talk to and truly listened to me. Together, we came up with a plan for my hair. I valued her input as she explained each step of her process. Sometimes, hairdressers can be jarringly rough with shampooing but Ava made sure the water temp was comfortable and massaged my head with just the right amount of pressure. The hot towel treatment after was heavenly. I'm happy to say my curls are back and well defined, unlike my last hair experience, where the hairdresser blew my hair out straight despite me sharing a photo of a curly hair style. After my hairstyling, I purchased small quantities of the products used. I've started using them and I'm very pleased. Salon Fig is not inexpensive, but I will definitely return. Last year, when I mentioned I needed a new nail tech, she introduced me to Amanda -- and I'm so grateful she did. I had been getting powder acrylics, which I'm allergic to, and Amanda transitioned me to gel nails that last even longer and are shaped perfectly. My husband went in to have a tooth pulled. Dr Ward damaged another tooth next to the tooth being…read morepulled. Without mentioning it to my husband, he ground down the damaged tooth. Unfortunately, that tooth was the tooth that held in my husband's upper denture which he now cannot wear. When my husband asked Dr Ward to repair the damaged tooth so that he could wear his denture, Dr Ward said it was unfixable and there is nothing more he could do. So now my husband has a new upper denture that he cannot use and we are left with the problem and expense of trying to get an implant so he can get a new denture.

She fully agreed. when she put my toner on she then went outside for a smoke break, which was marijuana and not cigarettes. She left my toner on for too long and I was now a full brunette. she told me it looked great and I would get used to it. I was not happy so I came back the following morning to have my hair re-bleached. while waiting for the salon to open, I watched her again smoked marijuana before starting her shift. my hair lightened slightly, but still nowhere near what I wanted. I was left with hair that was brittle and broken from being bleached twice in less than 24 hours and was out $300. I'm not sure if the owners know that their employees are doing drugs while their clients are sitting in the chair.

One staff member was openly making fun of other clients, which was noticeable and created an awkward atmosphere. It was clear this also caused discomfort for the stylist working with me. I later tried the Sparta location and had a different experience. The stylist was quite rough while brushing my hair after coloring, which was uncomfortable. Additionally, the pricing felt high given that services were billed by the hour. While I appreciate attention to detail, the extended time spent did not feel proportionate to the service provided, especially compared to other salons I've visited outside of Sussex county.
