This spot is a-ok. The food is most of the time pretty good. It seems a bit inconsistant at times. The bartenders here usually are not super attentive, and I have had issues ordering some drinks or items that end up not being what I asked for, and specific to bar funtion not back of house. The drinks are good here, I like that you can get most as pitcher / jumbo / any size you want. The menu has a good selection of items, typical mexican fare, I do find the prices are a bit higher than I would expect. Again, a-ok spot and this specific area doesn't have a plethora of mexican options. read more

I have been to Senor Patron at least 30 times throughout the years with my friends as it was a rather inexpensive restaurant to eat at after playing at the park nearby or whatnot. While not as pricy as other restaurants, I don't believe the food still matches the price point. As the years went by and I have grown up to enjoy other restaurants, I can definitively say that this is a place to not dine in. The pulled chicken tastes unseasoned and bland, their taquitos burnt, nachos soggy almost immediately after being handed off. Sadly I also made the mistake of ordering a hamburger at this "Mexican" restaurant. The hamburger quite literally was the worst burger I have ever eaten in my life. $15 for soggy bacon, a beef patty that's only 50% beef, and microwaved buns. The sides at Senor Patron are also not pleasant, with their refried beans and rice tasting like it was supplied by Sysco. If you were going here, the only thing I'd recommend are their enchiladas or fajitas. I'm sad to say that this place has either gone down hill or I have grown to understand what actual food should taste like. read more

This place has a lot of seating and the seats were comfortable. We were sat immediately. The food was played nicely and they had an Electric bull for their pre cinco event. Our server wasn't not as attentive as she was to other tables . I asked for specific modifications that she said were okay and they were not made. I had to ask for an additional cup to remove ice that I asked to not be included in my water. I also had to ask three separate occasions for limes. I got the birria tocos which I was hoping would taste as good as most places but it did fall short. The menu looked like it should taste authentic but some how it was lack luster and flavorless. The consumé could've saved it but it could had more flavor as well. I took the food home to recook myself and fix. I ordered a margarita and it was quite sour but strong. read more

We decided to come here because the Senor Patron in Alpharetta closed for some unknown reason. This location was nothing like the old restaurant we knew. The food was NOT fresh. It was obviously premade and put under a heat lamp. It clearly looked like it from the picture provided. I ordered the Burrito Supremo with shredded chicken. I asked if they can add grilled onions inside the burrito as well. When it arrived at the table, it looked cold and the premade grilled onions were in a little cup next to it. We were disappointed. It was packed full of people and the food wasn't even made fresh? Very odd! Not the best food, but not the worst. read more

Señor Patron is a chain looking environment. Surprising fresh authentic flavor. Tried the Senor Patron Cheese Dip. Steak, chicken and shrimp along with the chicken soup. We visited this restaurant on a Sunday night to celebrate my sister's birthday, and sadly, the experience was disappointing on multiple levels. The place was completely empty, which should have been a red flag. The food was not fresh, and two of us ended up with stomach aches afterward -- though that's not even the main reason for this review. What truly stood out was the shockingly unprofessional service. The man serving us (possibly the owner) kept tapping my husband on the shoulder throughout the night -- it felt intrusive and very uncomfortable. When we asked if they did anything for birthdays, he flatly said no, which was fine. But when we ordered a dessert and simply requested a candle, we were told it's not their job to provide one. To top it all off, we ordered a single portion of fajitas to share. My husband was given a small side of lettuce and beans without explanation -- we assumed it was part of the dish. But when the bill came, we were charged extra for what they claimed was an "additional plate." When we questioned it, the server became argumentative, then pulled $8 out of his own pocket and threw it at us. We were stunned. At that point, we just left. It's honestly hard to believe a business can operate this way and still be open. Between the poor food, bizarre behavior, and hostile attitude, we won't be coming back -- and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

Live outside the city, and looking for some good Mexican food! Senor Patron is one of my favs. The salsa in the beginning is a little on the spicer side but you'll want more. The decor they had outside because of fall starting was cute! I wish they added more to the inside as well. I ordered the Mexican pizza, which was pretty good but had a lot of black beans. It was basically a loaded Mexican pizza. Service i thought was ok...our waitress didn't attend to us as often as I thought she would. I wish she was a little more attentive. Food was ok, tried the Garden Quesadilla and the Tinga Street Tacos. Ambiance is ok, not very cozy. Service was bad. We got there around 7:40 when the bar was pretty much empty. Sat at the bar booths. Very poor service received by the bartender who seemed too busy chatting with other guests at first and then continued being very distracted and dry when taking our orders. When the place got a little crowded forget it. We were forgotten. Honestly if the food was outstanding I would give it another chance but yeah no. Man ohhhh man... this shrimp taco with a mango heat sauce and pineapple pico was amazing! The place is on the conner just down from where we live. We were over that way and had not had Mexican food since we left Texas... So we decided to try it. The location was ok... busy... not dirty... just not elegant. I mean it is your normal looking Mexican eatery. The service was okay... but at times lacking... they never refilled our waters. Couldn't even get the waitress to stop for a sec to tell her either. The queso was tasty and the chips were fresh. The salsa has a little spicy but is not flaming hot. It was really just right. My shrimp tacos were delicious! Pure mouth watering flavor. The black beans were meh and the rice was ok, but that taco... awesome! The dish comes with 3 and I scarfed down two of them before I realized I hadn't taken a picture. I think I'd do the Shrimp and Margarita again, but not the queso (it was a great flavor, but hardened a bit too quickly, and became harder to scoop and eat). I'd definitely come back here. Challenging time to be a "reviewer". Not unlike so many restaurants, Senor Patron is struggling mightily with service. The staff, while working hard and very friendly, are just overwhelmed. It took 37 minutes for us to even make our order on our most recent visit. That's just a big number. The food is good. Not great, but good / solid. Drinks are small but they do have a decent pour to them. Our visit was really a 2, maybe even 1 1/2. But I just don't want to hurt this place given the current employment issues in the industry. But they need to get their service fixed quickly. read more

We were happy to find a place with a corner booth to accommodate our group for a private gathering, but as we discussed where to meet next month, we decided no, we're not coming back for cold food, and chose another place up the street. I came in today as a quick little break from my move in. Came in and sat at the bar, the bartender looked somewhat surprised. Yet it took him a couple of minutes to even get my order. Menu is huge and a little bit confusing. I thought I was ordering a carne asada that would be served on a bed of rice, and I confirmed it with the bartender, but when it came out it looked like I was getting fajitas. The steak was chewy and not the right cut. Veggies were cooked all the way through but after sitting on the sizzler they were okay. $10 for a premade margarita mix with pomegranate liqueur and it was mostly sugar and tequila(still drank it though). Chips were okay but the salsa tasted off. I ordered spicy quest and it was not. Maybe it was just an off day but there are some better Mexican places to read more

My wife and I were out running some errands and after a long day of shopping she wanted to go out for a drink, rightfully so. Margaritas on the rocks is her new thing now, so she looked up some nearby restaurant we could stop and grab a drink at and Senor Patron came up. We pulled up at the restaurant, and just like many other places they were practicing social distancing, so they had us spread out 6ft from the other guest. As we looked over the drink menu, I decided that I wanted to grab some food as well (you can't just have margaritas and not have tacos! Who does that!). So after we looked over the menu, we placed our orders and the waitress ran to place it. In about 8 minutes the waiter returned with our drinks and some chips and salsa for the table(it's free). My wife went for a classic margaritas with salt along the rim while I decided to try a strawberry margaritas with salt along the rim as well. The drinks could have been stronger, but flavor wise they were pretty good. The chips and salsa on the other hand was not good at all, the salsa was bland and watery and the chips could have used a bit of more salt. But we still ate it because it was holding us over until the food came. Finally after about 10 mins, our food arrived, I ordered some rolled tacos while my wife got a steak burrito. Sadly, just like the chips and salsa, the food wasn't all the great as well. My tacos were a bit bland and the lettuce for the meal seemed a bit old. My wife said her burrito was okay but she would have been if she would have just not ordered it. So the moral of the story is: when you stopping for a drink, stick to drinks only! Maybe I'll try this place for the drinks again, but the food I can do without. read more

Ok so I recently attended this restaurant and from the second I went in the vibe felt off. I felt as if the white people in the town were trying to portray themselves as Mexicans, this is super offensive!!! As a home gown Mexican! They don't even serve f@&$ing taco. First time eating here. The place was very busy, but no wait. The service was great. They took care of us with not overwhelming us. Came to check on us twice once we got our food. Food came out hot. The helpings were plenty. I had the steak fajitas. The steak was very tender and I had so much I took the rest home. My husband had the enchiladas verde. He ate it all. He enjoyed it very much. First trip here in years, thanks to doing some Marketing in the area. Last time I stopped in here was 2014, and I enjoyed the patio bar then (they have a window that opens from the bar to the patio, and you can perch there at the outside bar). We got seated quickly for lunch. Felt like royalty with how nice the booths and decor are inside. They have piñatas hanging from the ceiling, making it even more authentic and classy upscale without upscale pricing. Waitress was on point and got our drinks and chips/salsa out. Loved the freshness of the salsa and non-greasy chips. I did the Acapulco tacos (shrimp). They did NOT skimp on the shrimp or pineapple, as my 3 tacos were loaded up! So much in there, I actually took a to-go box. The beans were ok, rice was very good (loved how they served it). My coworkers all agreed their food was very good as well. This trip was perfect. Would recommend the tacos, and the chips/salsa should satisfy your craving. read more
