We are a little older than most but our favorite thing about Senor Fiestas is you can order off lunch menu anytime of day and the daily specials are awesome. Turns out to be exactly the portion we need so no need to take leftovers home,. Food and service always very good. Can get pretty busy at times so be aware. read more

One of the best Mexican spots in the area. We always go here on a casual outing and we're in the area. The ambiance is nice, it's pretty cramped when it's packed though. The service is always on point. They try to make sure you got what you need to be as efficient as possible with all the other tables coming in. It had a separate vegetarian menu which was very helpful esp for those looking for healthier options. I had the veggie enchiladas and here's why they deserve the 5 stars - had several veggies including spinach, mushrooms, onions, peppers. - veggies were not dripping in oil and they were seasoned perfectly -a side of whole black beans not the mushy liquid beans - very filling! Is this "authentic" mexican food? Nope but it's one of the best tasting Americanized mexican food I've tasted this far OTP! I was going to give 4 stars but while talking it through with my wife, I couldn't articulate why I was removing a star. Therefore, I have to go 5. For the price point and location, I don't think you can find better Mexican in this part of GA. For starters, their complimentary chips and salsa is great. Salsa is a perfect mild to medium spice and the chips are thin, crispy and salty. We did not drink but they do have an impressive tequila and mezcal list and a couple of cocktails I'd love to try next time. I ordered the pollo ranchero and my wife got the veggie enchiladas. She really enjoyed hers and was impressed by it. Mine, a perfectly seasoned chicken with seared mushrooms, baked beans, cheese and rice, was delicious. I really enjoyed eating this, with and without prefect corn tortillas. Service was average but nothing to complain about. Ambiance is American Mexican restaurant. Whatever you're picturing-that's it. Went here to celebrate a birthday. This being our first time, we we on the fence with what all to order. Josey was our server and she was the best. She made a couple recommendations that were delicious. She was so calm under pressure and made a cute joke about carding our 92 year old mother. We didn't feel rushed out and she even made sure we had everything needed to make our little party perfect. The service from the staff is attentive and friendly they're always willing to help you out with whatever your needs or restrictions. They recently remodeled and made it look even better than it was. Had Santa Rosa chicken today -it's a new menu item and is a slightly spicy, tender, juicy grilled chicken fillet topped with cheese and served with rice and beans. 10 out of 10! My husband had the chimichangas from the Tex-Mex section of the menu. It's enough for lunch and dinner - 2 Portions, one steak and one grilled chicken along with a fresh salad/guacamole/sour cream/tomato plate on the side. This place is not good. Service is very slow. We eat at Mexican restaurants all the time. There are several good ones. Cumming, Dawsonville, Luna, Cleveland, Buford and Gainesville. This one was bad. The food was not good at all. If you eat outside, the exhaust and noise from the motor vehicle are very unpleasant. The location is situated on a busy road and serves as an access point to a large strip plaza. I will never go back--too many better options. I wanted to try their location in Dawsonville, but after our experience in Gainesville we will not bother. I'm unsure how this restaurant receives a decent rating. read more

Love this place. Most Mexican Restaurants are indistinguishable from each other; same menu items, same drinks, same decor. Senor Fiesta is just different enough to be interesting. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because we got ignored for the first 10 minutes we were there. Two other tables were seated after us, one getting their food before we even saw a waiter. Flagged the manager and to their credit he fixed it quickly. Food was great. My wife had Chicken Soup which was full of chicken and flavor. I had Flautas and they were excellent. We were there at lunch so we didn't try the bar drinks but they have an excellent and interesting drink menu - will have to go back at dinner. We ordered- Chunky Guacamole: It had nice flavor, and a small kick. Definitely a crowd pleaser, and good quality. Carne asada: This steak was flavorful as always and lots of great cooked vegetables. Bf orders this almost every time we come and it always is good. Seemed like they put an extra piece of meat on the plate also as it seemed like such a large portion. Definitely worth the price Chimichanga: Once again, consistent to what we expected! Salmon tacos: I added avocado and pineapple to these! The crispness on the edges of the salmon was super tasty and I was happy with the freshness of the fish! I do wish this dish came with extra tortillas on the side. Drinks- Key Lime Mojito: This was PACKED with lots of fresh mint, which was so impressive. It also was light and fresh. I really enjoyed this drink overall and would try more of their mojitos in the future as there were nearly a dozen flavors to choose from!
