We've been here a few times before and it was really good. Stopped in for a late lunch about 2:30 today and got served a bowl of soup and a burrito that were room temperature at best, not even warm. Then we got ignored until I finally went to the cash register to ask for a check. The tortilla chips were good, until we ran out. Probably won't go back. read more

My family and I were visiting from Arizona where we have true authentic Mexican food. This place was better than the food I've had in AZ! Wow. This place is authentic and some of the best food I've had. Makes me want to move to the city just to have to enjoy more of their food. Service was spectacular and I felt like family there. read more

El Tepache Mexican Grill - Texas Fajitas (3 Way) Tacos de Birria - Mexican Near Me - Gainesville, Georgia

Service was awesome. Maybe the best of any Mexican restaurant in the Gainesville area. Ambiance is perfect for a Mexican Restaurant! Food was 8.0 on scale of 10! Did not try the margaritas, but they looked good. Pricing was decent, especially compared to Atlanta. Tip well! read more

Wife is a huge fan of all things salmon. I was delighted to find Hornitos Tequila marinated salmon with zucchini and yellow squash on their menu. This made for an easy choice for our weekly date night dinner. I enjoyed their chicken and chorizo fajitas with a side of charro beans. I have developed a love of these flavor bombs. Fresh ingredients prepared perfectly made for a wonderful experience. The waitstaff is amazing , easy conversation made for a feeling of enjoyment of this family owned business. Food, service, and atmosphere checked all the boxes. Highly recommended giving them the opportunity to win your favor. Sidebar we drove a hour from home to sample this restaurant. So good we will be returning soon to enjoy the wonderful outdoor seating area. read more

Mehhh. Chips and Salsa were good. I had the Carnitas Michoacan's and it was dry. Just a little tasty but not flavorful enough to call this good. What is the deal with Gainesville, GA. The ethnic food here (2nd place I have tried) was both just mediocre for the potential that it could be. read more

The food is great, chimis are the best and the guacamole is so good...chunky with just the right balance os flavors. The wait staff is always helpful and they get your orders right. Our favorite local Mexican read more

Was fine. Definitely nothing special, and while it may have been my own error, the food I received did not match the menu description. Ate it (mostly) and it was dry (pork). Overall I would have to say I was pretty dissatisfied. Looks like it might be better for drinks and dinner. read more

We are from Utah and ate here with our local friend, he's been here before and said it's the best local Mexican restaurant and my husband and I agree! We highly recommend that you try it, order drinks too! read more

El Tepache Mexican Grill - Burrito - Mexican Near Me - Gainesville, Georgia

To start we were sat and the hostess failed to give us menu/mention that the QR code was available to scan for the menu. We started with the guacamole which was very good and flavorful. This was the best part of the entire meal. The burrito verde was full of steak which was good but it was on the smaller size and not fully wrapped into a burrito which was weird. The rice and beans were not good. The chile verde had way more veggies than meat which was disappointing and they never brought out the tortillas. Overall it was average. read more

This place is a hidden gem I feel like . The ambience is great , the restaurant is always clean and the food is amazing. The service is really good also . We like going here because it seems like no one knows about it and we always walk right in . Again this is a great restaurant. read more

Staff and owners are all friendly, taking the time to get to know their customers! Chips and Queso are good, especially when requested with jalapeños! My husband loves the enchiladas verde with chicken and I am a fan of the ceviche. Though, I would prefer club cracker as opposed to saltines with ceviche. A very good restaurant, you walk out full and feel as if you got your money's worth. Entertainment - musician of various genres is also a treat. read more

Great place I can across when out for a ride on trike....great food great service cold beer!

tried the food at the butterfly release festival and it was good. the two white ladies taking orders seemed agitated and very rude with their workers... they were out of alot of things which they could've easily removed from the white board with all the items instead of catching attitudes. I would highly encourage the two ladies to come work with better attitudes next time. read more

Don't let the strip mall appearance deter you! This place is awesome! From the sparkling clean dining area & brightly colored furniture & decor to the most attentive & pleasing wait staff & the food was so tasty & authentic imo. Our server was excellent & introduced us to their signature beverage, a Tepache margarita! Seniõr Salvador will explain this freshly handmade libation when they offer you a sample to try. Food was absolutely delicious. We each ordered 4 different things off menu, each was equally good. Guacamole was on point, along with the salsa. Chips were fresh and warm. Margaritas were delightful. Our server, young lady, was excellent!!!! All in all, 10/10 recommend. read more

Food was good, service okay...but that's not the cause for my low rating. $100 for 3 people to eat!!!! $100!!!! 2 drinks and three meals. I don't know that I'll be going back. WAY OVERPRICED for the quality of food/service. read more

The food and service here are amazing. This is our go-to for Mexican cuisine in the area.

We wanted to try somewhere new tonight. Delicious guacamole! I could have made a meal out of that alone. Our entrees were equally as good! We had the Charros fajitas and tacos - Nortenos. Will definitely be back! read more

Visited Gainesville for the first time for a high school regatta. We stumbled upon this place and we were delighted with the best veggie fajitas! Service was excellent. Very authentic. Try their house made hot sauce! read more

Disappointed. We went here a few months ago and it was decent, however when we came back today it was terrible. The fajitas were more greasy than anywhere else we've gone. We ordered cheese on the side and it was terrible. We had to get up to get the waitress three times because she was on her phone during the meal. read more

We drove a little out of the way for dinner tonight as we usually stay near the house. We walked in to friendly faces that were happy to be here. Margaritas are awesome and the food came out quickly! Great place to try. read more

This place has become my Go To Mexican Food Spot! The fajitas are awesome, but the star of the show is the Tepache margarita! The best margarita in town! read more

We had a call in order and when we got home, we realized they had left part of our order out. I returned and the minute I mentioned the name on the order, they immediately apologized and made every effort to make it right. They even tried to call and bring it to us. Mistakes happen. It's how you handle them that defines you. Top notch response from top notch people! read more

2nd Visit today and just as great as the first. These guys and gals are super friendly. The menu can be a bit overwhelming with the many options, but my first visit I asked jokingly for a recommendation, I think I confused the waiter but with help from who I assume was the manager that night, they made a good pick for me! 2nd visit was just as friendly, poor waitress filling up my drink every 5mins lol. They make you feel welcomed entering and leaving. Great staff! read more

Had the chimichangas at lunchtime and they were awesome! Food here is always good and service is attentive but not intrusive. I'm not sure what to recommend because EVERYTHING is good read more

Great authentic Mexican food, possibly best in town. Great service. But STOP! $61 for 2 specials, 2 margaritas, and cheese/hamburger dip. It was $7 more until I complained. Won't be returning. Margaritas last time we went were $5; today they were $8. First time they were great, 2d time they were not; however, they were so loaded with alcohol that I left drunk for a while on just one. I felt like they wanted to get me drunk, so they could take advantage of us financially. Waitress did not bring our receipt, she just rang us up on a machine right at the table. When she was taking our order, she was recommending things to us, and we were trying to read through the Spanish; ie. "cheese dip" and "house margarita". The cheese dip she recommended was $10 and the margaritas were not your typical house margaritas. Take your chances, but we are sorry to say we won't be returning. The first time was good and reasonable. Second time, took us to the bank. read more
