I wish I could put a negative star. I took my time last night to order my food properly and still end up getting it wrong . Tried to take it back to me and told me they was closed and they was giving no refunds. I set up the window and was waiting patiently. That's what I seen a man scoop all of the meat from other containers and refill the containers. So I witness cross contamination from chicken to steak to beef. Yeah no gloves on just raw fingers at that point I didn't care to get food back or refund. I'm just done with this place altogether. They get you because it's a late night place and that's the only thing that may be home at that time. I'd rather go to McDonald's or Burger King before I deal with these people again. Went to get some tacos last night. Gentlemen took my order, went to the back & started preparing my food with no gloves. I mean tortillas in his hand, sprinkled lettuce, onions & cheese all using his hands and came to the window to collect my money. Apparently the people that work here do not know the difference between steak and beef. I will never order from here again because they cannot get the order right. I ordered a beef burrito and received a steak burrito. Normally I would just accept it but the steak was like eating shoe leather and it completely disgusted me. New Balance shoes with cheese is a better eat. By the way, I tasted no cheese on this excuse for a burrito. I feel bad for the cow that died to make this burrito. This place should be closed by the FDA. If the food tastes this bad, I don't want to see the kitchen unless Gordon Ramsay is cleaning it out. Senor Salsa is an amazing Mexican restaurant with a robust menu of foods. Technically it is 24 hours but I have come there plenty of times at night and he restaurant was closed. However, if they are open, especially during the day you are going to experience some of the best Mexican food in the area. My personal favorite is their steak burritos, the grilled steak and quantity given for the price is unbeatable. The flavors are amazing and the taste beyond belief. I haven't tried many things on their menu but if any of the other menu options are close to the burrito they will be great. The place keeps long lines and is a great place to stop during the day for a bite to eat, at night y ou may or may not catch them open, if I am being honest. Fantastic place! read more

I came to this place accidentally looking for another taqueria on the same street. I was impressed by their menu selection, I ordered steak fajitas and beef chimichanga dinners, but I wasn't impressed. It was nothing special, the food was just okay. I wouldn't go back. Read the reviews and stopped in for a simple Mexican breakfast of huevos con chorizo this past Thursday morning. This is a staple of Mexican restaurants...and I couldn't have been more disappointed in the food. It didn't taste good, the tortillas had sauce on the edges like they'd been reused. The vaunted salsa was underwhelming at best. The actual huevos con chorizo was really poorly done, I've had better virtually everywhere else I can remember. Señor salsa... Salsa might've been the best part of my food.. Even though it was mediocre and severely lacking heat... I ordered in the drive-through, at approximately 5:10 p.m... I wanted a steak torta dinner.. The guy proceeded to come up with my total, $9.08 in his head... I didn't want to open my food until I got home. It was a 12 hour day for me.. Upon arriving home I was highly disappointed, there was more bread than meat.. Six little pieces of tomato, yes I counted.. Less than half lettuce.. Nothing else was on my sandwich, the rice was very hard and very gross I poured my remainder of salsa on top of that.. The beans were very fatty most likely refried.. I called the restaurant and expressed I only had $10 to my name, I expected something good and I don't have food so what the fuck kind of quality service was that?! There was a woman on the phone, said she wasn't there earlier, but she would remake my sandwich if I could just return my food I informed her prior that I was almost an hour away why would I drive almost an hour to go back for a shittier sandwich when I haven't eaten all day on top of it??? Fantastic carne asada burrito suizo. I just got back from a 3 week vacation touring the southwest US and California and this burrito was every bit as good as anything I had on that trip, which was about 8 different places across the country including a place in Flagstaff the Fieri visited on his DD&D show(for whatever that's worth) as well as La Azteca in east LA that is noted as one of the best burritos in the country (I had the chile relleno w/ asada burrito there, and it lived up to it's reputation). The place itself is just your typical Chicago mexican food dive that you wouldn't think much of passing it by but the food tops most that I've had in the last 40 years or so. read more
