She did not rush through and was gentle with our cat and with us. Paws at Peace offers some extras (a paw print and a bit of fur in a little jar) in addition to cremation options. I initially thought these things were silly but I am glad we got them. It was easy to make the arrangements. We called at 8 AM and got a same day appointment. We got a text of the expected time and an update when there was a very slight delay. We got a follow up text the next day, with an offer for grief support. This is a well run organization. They know what they are doing. Best of all, they did not cause any additional grief to what was already a very sad day.

Not only did our amazing doctor handle our beloved dog's passing with the utmost skill, empathy and professionalism, but the organization's meaningful support - before, during and after that somber day - was extraordinary. Thank you, Paws at Peace, for guiding our family through one of the most difficult days of our life.

He not only put my Leia's needs front and center but his care and compassion for the pet's companions, I can't say we're owners, was above and beyond. He gave my girl five more good years of life. She allowed me to have many more years (he lived for 20) with my beloved furry companion. Now many years later she has helped me once again with a dog I inherited named Luna. She is a 7 yr old Chihuahua mix who suddenly started to suffer seizures, and became very wobbly and twitchy. Within the first couple of days the symptoms appeared we brought her to 2 different vet practices. They both drew the same conclusions of neurological issues (after ruling out toxins, injury, and tick borne diseases), but could not give a definitive answer without pricey diagnostics. So we started to medicate for one possible issue at a time to see which one would work (or not work) so we could rule out as we went along. In the meantime I contacted Liz looking for some guidance. I had a conversation explaining symptoms as well as sending her short videos during different activities. Immediately she recognized the involuntary movements, Luna was most likely suffering from cerebella ataxia. This made total sense to me as I have worked with cats that lived with feline cerebellar hypoplasia. Liz gave me a list of herbals for specific symptoms. Knowing I have some experience with natural medicines, she told me to "play with them" until I hit the right combination. I will not lie, I was reluctant to stop Luna's prescription from the vet as the pills seemed to be working; even though it was explained to me how the side effects may be preventing her from improving to the full extent. Then it happened, I accidentally dosed Luna twice one evening with her prescription meds. Luckily there was no harm done, but it was scary...and just the catalyst I needed to make the switch. Even though the first 2 nights she seemed to regress, I trust Liz. I told myself what I always told my customers, give it time. By the end of the 1st week, I started to see improvement. Over the past month I have tweaked her herbals (sometimes accidentally), and she is a completely different dog. She has not had a seiziure, nor does she twitch or wobble like she did a few weeks ago. She is now capable of eating, playing, walking on a leash and going to the bathroom like she did before the big seizures occurred and major symptoms appeared. Liz worked her magic once again...I used to trust Liz, now I have straight up faith in her!

Her wisdom and forethought went above and beyond my expectations, and believe me, I had rehearsed this terrible day many times in my head. My call was promptly returned, a convenient time scheduled, and the process discussed. During this time of social distancing, some special accommodations needed to be made, but they in no way interfered with the love my dog received that day. Dr Dale played music made for dogs ears only and was extremely comforting to me as well. She made a clay print of my dogs paw, which I will cherish forever. The support Dr Dale gave that day extends far beyond as she checked in on me and provided access to support groups. When I picked up my dogs remains, they where surrounded by meditation gardens and considering the circumstances (pandemic restrictions) I couldn't have asked for anything more comforting and reassuring that my dog was truly loved and that I had made the right decision. We could have taken him back to the vet and done it in a clinical setting, but we chose to look into in-home euthenasia. Choosing to go with Dr. Cory was definitely the best decision we ever made. I spoke to many other bigger companies that provide the same service, and what I found was that I was either speaking with a sales person or it was nearly impossible to get the information I needed. When you call Dr. Cory, she either picks up or sends you a text but always corresponds with the information you need. I appreciated that very much, it immediately gave me a vote of confidence. She showed up on time as agreed, prepared with everything she needed neatly in a docor's bag. Her presence the entire time was calm, soothing, professional, and extraordinarily polite. She possessed the compassion and yet the sensitivity to give us our time and space when appropriate. Once Teddy was asleep, we all got to pet him and give him all of our last love. While in my mother's arms, Teddy left the world for better dreams and pastures. In-home euthenasia was definitely the right choice for us, especially because we had decided to end his suffering before the worst of it could unfold. After having been fortunate enough to have gone through the experience with Dr. Cory, I personally cannot imagine how anyone else on planet Earth could be a better choice. Don't deal with the corporate runaround BS of the other companies that offer the service, go with Dr. Cory. PS, her rates were surprisingly fair compared to the other providers I spoke to

Rather than let him transition at the hospital we knew we could reach out to Dr. Lisa and request those services within our home. Dr. Lisa was very transparent on her pricing each time we called upon her. Hamish is our beloved almost 16 year old dog who had been increasingly in pain and panting, showing signs of dementia, and losing the ability to get up off the floor without assistance. Making the decision to put him to sleep was so very difficult. We were so relieved to find a vet who could provide a relaxing outdoor setting without the stress of a traditional veterinary hospital. Tender Comforts In home Pet Euthanasia is set on a farm in the country, so, on a plush blanket laid on grass and clover, underneath an oak tree, with a picnic table and benches available, beloved Hamish was able to gently leave behind his pain and anxiety with the help of Dr. Craig Little and Nurse Cindy. They explained everything that was going to take place and chatted with us which helped us relax. And of course they handled Hamish gently and compassionately. I was able to sit on the grass right next to Hamish and pet him constantly throughout the procedure. They explained some things along the way which was helpful. I remember Dr. Little reaching across Hamish with his stethscope to listen to his heartbeat, and gently indicating to me that he was gone. We were not rushed away; I was able to continue petting and talking to Hamish as long as I wanted to. My husband and I, as well as Hamish, were treated with great respect. Before we left, there were hugs all around. I noticed that when we left, Cindy got on the ground with Hamish and continued to pet and care for him. So for Hamish, it was a day that began with a breakfast of brownies, ham and cereal, which was followed by a nice ride in the car to Readington, where he got out onto a grassy field with a cozy blanket waiting for him to rest upon, and friendly people waiting to help him. Yes we are sad, and yes, we miss him, but the quality of care we received from Tender Comforts In home Pet Euthanasia definitely has helped us get through it. I should also mention that Dr. Little's wife Susie was our first contact with Tender Comforts In home Pet Euthanasia. She set up our appointment, and facilitated changing the times when we requested it. She was very compassionate! I also need to mention that we were given a sympathy card with wild flower seeds and a pamphlet on coping on the loss of a companion animal. I would not hesitate to use this service again, and highly recommend them to anyone who needs it for their pet. This is a tremendous resource!
