They earned the trust of both my mother (currently 92) and myself. I live in California and knowing that I could trust Monica and Lisa to look out for my mother and I could contact them at any time was my highest priority. The team of caregivers lead by Monica and Lisa were caring and giving. They did the daily tasks well of making sure my mother was comfortable, safe, consistent with her prescriptions and provided companionship. They did the special emergency situations exceptionally well, changing their schedule to deal with falls and accompanying my mother to the hospital. Recently I moved my mother to California to be closer to me. My only regret is that I could not convince Monica and Lisa to move with her.

"It's so bad I want to give you a Zero but that's not possible so I'll give you a One"…read more The first incident with MGA would have to be when we got a new nurse and MGA failed to tell me that apart of the new nurses training was to change my sons trach herself. Apparently the nurse had to be checked off that she did it. The first thing dad told them was to not touch the trach or his g tube. I left my work because I felt like something was off. As soon as I got there the training nurse and trainee asked me to change the trach since I was present I said YES. Good thing I was there the training nurse DID NOT prepare the nurse at all on how to set up for a trach change. Did not cut trach ties did not had oxygen or an ambu bag ready In case of an emergency. They go to the the trach change and of course something goes wrong and the trach wouldn't go in both the trainer and trainee nurse start to panic. I immediately took over. If they would have done the trach change without permission or even telling us this needed to be checked off her training list and something went wrong we would have been pissed. The second offense with MGA would have to be just as recent as a few days ago. My sons nurse was exposed to COVID the agency did not tell us so that way we could take precautions. The nurse ended up testing positive for COVID still MGA DID NOT TELL US. I only found out because the nurse told us and she was under the assumption they told us. I AM NOW POSITIVE FOR COVID. Do they not realize my son has a trach and vent that LITERALLY KEEPS HIM ALIVE. He has pulmonology hypertension and CHRONIC LUNG DISEASE! COVID COULD KILL HIM! Not to mention my ONE MONTH OLD DAUGHTER! If you are looking for a home health agency look elsewhere!

Sage was recommended by the acute care facility she was recently at, and Sage Hospice stepped right in and made the process of dealing with everything such a breeze. I was supposed to get a call from the director..that never happened...we were denied a hoyer lift when my dear Mom could not move...I was told it was ann expense they did not want...I also asked about supplies for her incontinence and was told that "we" ordered too much and it was getting expensive...under hospice rules, we are allowed all the supplies that we need. We were told that we needed to change nursed half way through her treatment, with no explanation. I had to call the on-call nurse twice and got no answer...I did notice that they have a lot of turnover...I had an excellent appointment with two of the on-call nurses and they went about and beyond...Calan and Dana were great..the others, not so much! You will find better care than this company that only worries about their profit...their employees have been told (and they told us) that the profit was the biggest concern to the owner.
