I fell asleep for one hour after the caregiver arrived and my "caregiver " apparently decided to make a swift exit for the front door! Additionally, the front door was left unlocked on the way out, leaving me in a dangerous and precarious position when I was least able to handle a situation like that. My pain medications were missing as well, unfortunately. When I contacted BrightStar about my experience, the owner/ manager could have cared less. Very indifferent to the care their organization provides. Do yourself a favor and avoid this business at all costs.

Besides that, about every day we were either informed that the care giver was going to be late to the agreed to time or they were not showing up at all. I had a really bad back surgery and needed…read moresomeone to check my incision while staying with my daughter in Louisville.I came back home on a Wednesday morning and got a call from my nurse Kevin that night saying that I was discharged and someone from Caretenders in Elizabethtown Ky office would be coming over on Friday. At 2:30 they still hadn't shown up so I called my local office and they had been waiting for 2 days for a discharge from my nurse Kevin. My local office called them to get Kevin to discharge me. After about 90 minutes I still hadn't received a call,so I called the office in Louisville and it had been done for over an hour. I had to ask them to call my office so my paperwork could get done. I'm so displeased with how the nurse and the office handled my discharge if I ever have to stay at my daughters again I WON'T be using Caretenders !!!
