I'm a little bit biased with this review because my wife works there. That said, StoryPoint…read moreMiddletown (Louisville) really is an amazing new independent and enhanced living complex for seniors/retirees. For starters, StoryPoint is new to the Louisville area. They already have established locations in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Iowa, to name a few. StoryPoint is also close to opening another Kentucky location in Union (near Cincinnati). But their Middletown location is at 500 Meridian Hills Drive. So, if you're heading east toward the Gene Snyder Freeway, take a RIGHT onto Meridian Hills Drive from Shelbyville Road and follow it all the way back. Although there are seemingly a ton of Senior Living facilities in the Louisville metro area (mainly because our senior population is much larger than our younger population), this new 3-story complex offers residents quite a lot, such as: 1.) One- and Two-bedroom apartments with balconies; 2.) A formal dining room with wait staff; a bistro with a bar and large screen TVs; and a small snack bar -- all of which are managed by an in-house food services director. Additionally, all meals are made in-house daily by their chef and sous chef; 3.) A library complete with books, computers and games; 4.) Wellness and Life-Enrichment activities areas, all headed by in-house personnel; 5.) Transportation for outings; and 6.) An Enhanced Living section of the complex for individuals who may need additional assistance with their day-to-day activities. To me, StoryPoint looks and feels like a really cool state-of-the-art new hotel. So, if you're thinking about retiring (or know someone who is) and are looking for an awesome place to live, you should check out StoryPoint in Middletown! I had to move my in-laws from their previous personal care facility because they were told that…read morethey were going to move people in from a covid positive facility. We only had about a week to find a solution, and we are so grateful that we found StoryPoint! The management that worked with us to get us in there on such short notice, went beyond the call of duty. We were so impressed by the kindness and compassion of Matthew, Kyle, Zac and kristy, who all worked tirelessly to get them approved by their insurance company and get them in a beautiful brand new apartment. They have been there for a month now and everyone has been so kind and helpful and the food is beyond delicious! We can't wait until it opens for family to have dinner with them because the food is of such high quality and yumminess. The most important thing is that my in-laws are happy and content and that wasn't the case for their previous facility. If you are looking for a place for yourself or your loved ones, Storypoint is the answer!

We have two adult professional children, a son a retired University Professor, a daughter, an Attorney at Law, and three delightful adult grandchildren. We have done our share of traveling and living abroad. In our lifetime we have met some of the most beautiful person's anyone would ever want to meet. Finding and becoming members of The Forum Community, we have also encountered such beautiful persons. Our residence is gorgeous and very comfortable. The staff is friendly, caring and always ready to answer questions and lend a helping hand. The residents are increasingly becoming close friends and neighbors. The meals are well balanced and delicious. A full slate of creative activities is provided. The Forum is a "gated community" with a beautiful safe and secure campus. We have found our second retirement home and happy to have arrived. Billy & Velma Cox 145 Edgewood Way

The staff checked on her regularly. Vitals were taken and medicine administered. She was bathed and her bed changed all within a period of about four hours. I have been to many hospitals, nursing homes, etc., and this was by far the best I have been in.

She us extremely knowledgeable regarding the different facilities around town and keeps her ear to the ground regarding facilities, theur staff and accommodations based on the specific needs of each individual. All of her fees are paid directly by the facilities, not the family. She not only helped place my older sister in a good memorycarefacility but also an elderly couple in our church who could not do for themselves any longer. Give Pstti a call. You won't be sorry!

Finding yourself in the midst of the inevitable can be challenging and scary. In these times it is important to find the best conduit for those stressful times. My family and I were encouraged to contact Patti Naiser at Senior Home Transitions and what a blessing. Patti, having dealt with her own family struggles in the area of elder care readied her for holding the hand of many who are not prepared, including myself and our family. Patti takes the stress and legwork out of any situation with regard to knowing the best ways to handle the move from home to retirement community, to assisted living and hospice. Just knowing that Patti was there to give us a hand, advice and crucial information, including the best facilities and attorney's, was a relief. Patti is a pleasure to work with and her care isn't guided by the families ability to pay, but her ability to make things work for everyone involved. Just knowing she was there, as she understood and had the experience and knowledge was a grateful feeling. Thank you Patti!
