And each person has been just what my mother needed. We were so thankful that mom had a caregiver, Marti who had a medical background. She was able to see her, many days a week, during Covid when the family could not. We really believed it was Marti that kept mom Covid free. Marti did her best to keep mom positive and upbeat during a very bleak time for the elderly. Every time I call the office I speak to amazingly kind, caring, knowledgeable, and patient people. I live out of state and am very much dependent on mom's caregivers. More recently, mom had to be hospitalized and the caregiver, Stephanie, was our "eyes on the ground" as I dealt with the medical staff and doctors. Each day we would get multiple updates and felt so good knowing someone was there in case mom needed a nurse or doctor. In this most recent circumstance, mom had to go to rehab. And Patty, at the Home Instead office, came along side of me and not only directed me to a great rehab but also went way beyond my expectation and reached out to a rehab, through her own contacts, to find an available bed. Stephanie has now been with mom at rehab and again is giving us much needed reports and follow ups till I am able to arrive next week to spend time with my mother. I was not a fan of them moving in due to my perception of "nursing homes" but I learned otherwise in the four+ years they were there. Literally every single person we interacted with from the nursing staff to rehab to cooks, laundry, maintenance staff, etc. was like family. The professional level of care that my parents received (and us as their family) cannot be overstated except to compare it to the compassion that went with it. We were really clueless about what the last years of their lives was going to entail, and the staff here did it so much better than we ever could have. My husband and I ended up getting on the waiting list and now have a deposit down on one of the carriage homes being built; it doesn't get any better than this for end of life experiences. Aside from the fact that the carriage homes are gorgeous, the kind of care that is there as a "safety net" is exactly what we want. The added bonus is us both being on the same campus if one of us starts to fail in later years; not only does the other one not have to move, they can walk to visit, take meals and do activities together, and in some cases actually be together in the advanced care. (My parents were together in Memory Care.). I highly recommend Lutheran Home @ Telford.

Telford Lutheran is like the Ritz Carlton of care facilities. When I would visit my Aunt in Florida I wondered why she did not get the same care at her facility. She was paying almost the same every month. Telford may be a little more than other communities but it shows in the care and people they hire. If you are searching for a place for your parents I would put Telford Lutheran on your list to review. You will not be disappointed.

The services my husband received from Bayada home care nursing services, was less then one star,…read morebut that isnt an option. Nurse, Monti, was more concerned with the amount of opti-foam, tape, gauze bandages,etc.,being used then in my husbands leg issues. It appears that the medical supplies used in his care were provided by Bayada, at their expense as per their agreement with our insurance company and that should not be an issue we have to deal with. Then, to our amazement, we received notice from our insurance company that they had been billed for those supplies. In the end, my husband was discharged from Home Care per the 'failure of patient to comply with education for care'. Guess that meant we used too much in the way of supplies Bayada supposedly provided. Bayada also provided both Occupational and Physical therapies which were excellent. Our suggestion is that Bayada remove from service to clients personel who lack the skill needed to interact with patients. The nurse assigned to my husband's care should be where they start. We have had experiences with other Home Care services and have only good things to say about the care received. In the future, we will not accept services from Bayada should the need arise.
