Some of the items they have been consistently pleased with are: the food, activities available, the staff, environment inside and outside, shopping very close, and the friendliness of other residents. The director there is amazing. She is very accommodating to the residents and families. The age and heath range of the people there is a bit diversified which in my opinion is good. My mother is 79 but in very good health and very active. My father is a bit slower paced. They have both been able to make friends that match their pace. When we were looking for a place for my parents this place stood out because of: how nice the inside common areas were, we talked to other residents and all were very happy, the place was very clean, the mood was upbeat, and when we called and e-mailed with follow-up questions we always got prompt responses. My parents recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. The staff there went out of their way to help us celebrate it. I can't emphasize enough that the management and staff there put a lot of effort to provide a very nice and safe place for their residents.

The staff and administrators are fabulous - they know all the residents, recognize my family when we visit, and continue to be very responsive to any questions or concerns that we have about my granddad. He loves his apartment - one large bedroom, bathroom with a walk-in shower and grab bars for safety, big roomy living room with big bright windows, and a full kitchen (which he hardly uses because the food there is REALLY good). It's the perfect size for him and his cat. Finally, Arbor Square's response to the COVID-19 pandemic was prompt and thorough. They've essentially been on lockdown since early March. It's been hard not being allowed to visit him, but he's been in good spirits every day. My whole family is thrilled with Arbor Square. Nonno is healthier and happier than he was before moving there. He eats better, gets physical therapy and sees a podiatrist on premises, has housework help, and plenty of attention!

I was not a fan of them moving in due to my perception of "nursing homes" but I learned otherwise in the four+ years they were there. Literally every single person we interacted with from the nursing staff to rehab to cooks, laundry, maintenance staff, etc. was like family. The professional level of care that my parents received (and us as their family) cannot be overstated except to compare it to the compassion that went with it. We were really clueless about what the last years of their lives was going to entail, and the staff here did it so much better than we ever could have. My husband and I ended up getting on the waiting list and now have a deposit down on one of the carriage homes being built; it doesn't get any better than this for end of life experiences. Aside from the fact that the carriage homes are gorgeous, the kind of care that is there as a "safety net" is exactly what we want. The added bonus is us both being on the same campus if one of us starts to fail in later years; not only does the other one not have to move, they can walk to visit, take meals and do activities together, and in some cases actually be together in the advanced care. (My parents were together in Memory Care.). I highly recommend Lutheran Home @ Telford.

My father moved into independent living while my mom had to go into skilled nursing. My father is able to visit my mom everyday since they were located within the same campus. Bad weather no problem, you only have to walk across an enclosed bridge. The various levels of care both my parents have been receiving is exemplary. Telford Lutheran is like the Ritz Carlton of care facilities. When I would visit my Aunt in Florida I wondered why she did not get the same care at her facility. She was paying almost the same every month. Telford may be a little more than other communities but it shows in the care and people they hire. If you are searching for a place for your parents I would put Telford Lutheran on your list to review. You will not be disappointed.

this place is an great place to work if you want to dread coming to work everyday! it is constantly…read moreunderstaffed and you will be overworked and underpaid. the nurses here constantly have attitude and getting upset when you ask them for help with something. i have never worked somewhere with so much drama and favoritism. the management favors the full time day staff like their lives depend on it. when a full time staff member raises a concern it is taken serious but when a pool or part time staff member does the same thing we are dismissed or WE are the ones who get questioned and punished. there has been COUNTLESS instances of coworker bullying that i have heard about and experienced in the past years ive worked here. the full grown adult aids are constantly ignoring their responsibilities and picking fights with teenagers/college students who work there. when they neglect their residents call bells the nurses turn to the younger staff and force them to also answer the other aids bells, meanwhile the aid is sitting one room away and fully in view sitting on their phone or sleeping. god forbid there is a call out and then management will BLOW your phone up at all hours of the night and will not take no for an answer. half the people that work here are incompetent and straight up insane. basically... if you want to hate your job and want to be basically abused definitely work here!

Not looking for any scapegoats here, just truly want to improve this serious problem so other residents do not have to endure, especially those residents who do not have outside advocates for them. This rehab is very thorough and the staff was amazing as my mother recovered from her knee surgery…read more Overall the short term rooms are dated and need serious maintenance - my mother's room has water leaking in the sink the entire stay despite letting them know numerous times and asking for a fix. The beds are way too firm for someone older recovering from major surgery but the staff made up for the issues we encountered. The team was comprehensive, professional and extremely thoughtful of my mother's every need while pushing her to complete her rehab. Think a combination of a drill instructor with the love of a grandmother. LOL Thank you for your excellent care and love. I hope she never has to come back but if she does we know you will not let her sleep the days away. Fully accessible and lots of daily activities in between meals.
