Other facilities only monitor a patient's physical well-being, but this facility's staff also care about the patient's emotional well-being as well. They truly want their residents to be happy and comfortable in the home. Vijay (an RN at a highly-respected hospital) and Sally (an extremely experienced and knowledgeable caregiver) are the key individuals who make this facility so rare in terms of providing "loving care" to the residents. The facility is clean, Covid-free, and located in a quiet neighborhood. My father has been very pleased with his care, and I have been very pleased with the constant communication they have maintained with our family. Even an independent hospice agency's team who are providing support to my father admitted that he is receiving excellent care in this facility.

She finally admitted that she spilled something on my shower curtain and bath mat but she cleaned it up. Only problem is she used my iron on curtain and left iron in a position where the water spilled out and damaged shelving. Further frustrating is that my kitchen cabinets/handles and floors were left by her a filthy, sticky mess! I had a good experience with another agency in my city but the caregiver they provided couldn't move to their OC location. I did a quick search and found Comfort Keepers. It's always nerve-wracking to choose an agency you aren't familiar with, knowing you will be stepping back and letting someone else support your loved one. Having a stranger in your house is something to get used to and not always an easy transition. From the first meet and greet with Karen and Chelsea I walked away feeling that they had a genuine concern for my father, and also my mother, who also would be in the home with him. My father has 7 day a week support and it's made such a difference in his health, wellbeing, and demeanor. He considers his "helpers" as family and hasn't had an odd fit yet. The staff is communicative when there's a sub or a change, and we're able to communicate scheduling updates easily via the phone or their website portal.

He actually picked up the phone. He talked with me for about 40 minutes, explaining all the services he offers and how it would look helping my dad (and mom). He knows his stuff! Very compassionate. Knowledgeable. Caring. There are a lot of things to consider when hiring a caregiver. Legalities. Regulations. Matching a caregiver with a client. So much more. Dwight explained it all so clearly. Big one: If you have a long-term healthcare insurance policy, make sure to check the waiting period. My mom hadn't looked at the policy in years, and sure enough there was a waiting period. His advice on activating it was on point. He met with my mom and I within a week of first talking on the phone. He re-explained to my mom all the services he offers. She was able to use him for only a week....my dad returned to the hospital. And never returned home. Dwight was so supportive. Would not hesitate to call Dwight.

In the beginning coverage was often a short visit- some respite care. Even with short notice, they could get someone to us. You would be surprised how many carers we have had, simply by not needing longer term coverage. I was always comfortable saying whether the carer was a good match or not- which is so key when dealing with the elderly, and especially with an Alzheimers patient. The office staff are professional and caring. The billing has always been accurate. Finally, as my mom has declined, we did face a greater need and more coverage. We now are utilizing one carer 5 days out of the week. She is professional, prompt, caring, and does all the things I would think of without my asking- What a blessing. No matter your financial resources, nothing matters if you can feel confident that your loved one is safe and well cared for- and with SeaCliff we do feel that way.

She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's not much longer after that. She has been a member of the Alzheimer's Family Center of Huntington Beach since 2023 and I continually ask her "Do you like the Family Center?" and she always responds "Yes!". The Family Center has a staff that is caring and personable beyond reproach. They show genuine care for our loved ones. Her Neurologist has been pleasantly surprised on the last several visits because she has not detected the decline in her that was expected. I attribute much of that to loving care, engagement and social interaction that the Family Center provides for my loved one.
