OMG this place is awful. It's so bad with fever and homeless that they don't have time to worry…read moreabout or I've been concerned for their customers and they're very rude and very violent and physically put their hands on customers. They mistake my family for a homeless person I guess because he was by the door, watching my electronic bikes holding it stolen I pay for our stuff and the security physically put their hands on him and tried to force him out of the store like he didn't have a right to be there waiting on me. I spent $250 in that store but regardless, even if I would've spent $2.50 in the store, I'm a customer in the store and so is he and you jump the gun that fast without being positive of anything and then wouldn't even apologize

Best Place To Take Your Sheltered Kid…read more Want to teach your kid the value of not doing drugs? Take them to this 7-11. IF you are able to make it through the sea of cracked out zombies guarding the "entrance" (aka a boarded up, make-shift door) you will then have to negotiate with 4-5 of them to get in. Upon entering the boarded up convenience store, you must dodge the man who is riding a lime bike out of the store at 10mph, and be careful not to touch shoulders with the 20-30 drugged up homeless people in there. No shoes, curled up behind the isles on the floor, screaming to themselves, screaming to no one, screaming at me, screaming at my son. Then you attempt to find water (which they had approx 2 bottles of). You grab the water while holding onto your child out of fear he will be grabbed and traded for a hit of crack. Head to the register and play "guess where the line is" because there is no line. You gotta time it like a game of Double Dutch and jump in when you see an opportunity. Too soon? Dude with dirty underwear on....his.....head ... yells while spewing saliva all over your face. Too late? Woman with one breast all the way out of her shirt will cuss you out, but not really cuss you out because she's actually violently talking about pepperoni pizza. You get to the cashier- he's super nice. Almost wondered if he was on a different type of drugs than his customers. How does he do it? Great guy. So now you have the water, forget the gum and banana you also wanted, you must focus on getting out unharmed. You see the door, it's a straight shot if you don't mind stepping over the large bag of clothes and the unleashed Chihuahua. If you veer off course and try to slide by the soda fountain instead, one of the customers will mistakenly assume you are trying to come after THEIR big gulp, which is a big no no at this store. You make it to the door only to NOT be able to open it because it is being blocked by what I could only assume was someone either sleeping or..... It's at that point you make eye contact with the least high person you can find and politely say "hey guy, a little help?" He'll kindly come drag the passed out customer away from the door so that you can exit to safety.

Looking for postcards in Seattle, Washington…read more.. I searched Target/CVS pharmacy nearby - in downtown - but couldn't find any. Since Walgreens was within sight, I decided to check it out. There were none in the greeting cards aisle and none near the souvenir t-shirts. I asked the Security Guard and he suggested Aisle 4... Nope. That's the beverage aisle. I thought that I should check Aisle 1 since I looked in every other aisle... Of course the post cards were there! The last place was the winner! I grabbed a bunch and waited in line to pay. The customers ahead of me didn't have their wallets out and one woman had questions about a gift card. I give these store clerks credit... challenging customers test your patience... LOL! I just wanted to hurry outta there because I wasn't sure if I was in a free parking space on the street or not!

Maybe it's the open air drug market in front of it. Or maybe it's the fact that the last 2 times…read moreI've gone they've been short staffed except for rent-a-security guards who don't seem to be securing much of anything. Maybe it was the appointment I made with the pharmacist for a vaccine and when I showed up the pharmacy was boarded up and there were 14 people waiting and the pharmacy assistant screamed "there's no pharmacist! Apparently one will eventually show up." Spoiler: they didn't. Or maybe it was today when I tried again to get a vaccine. I made an appointment, showed up early, checked in and there was so much spit on the plexiglass between me and the pharmacist that she was literally blurry. At one point an assistant made eye contact with me, made a gun out of her fingers and pretended to shoot her self in the head. So yeah - this place is a stain on the Walgreens brand and our downtown. I'd rather drive to another pharmacy than walk to this one on my neighborhood.

This area of First Hill is somewhat of a "food desert". There are a handful of these convenience stores, and this one happens to not only be the closest to where my friend lives should we need snacks, drinks or ice it's there. A few times we've been caught without some of those above-mentioned items and with the recent closure of Whole Foods walking to a grocery store for goods has been even more of a chore. Here comes Plaza Select. It's got pretty much everything you'd expect and want but marked up by a few dollars or so. Primarily my friend and I come here for Ice. $3.xx here as opposed to $2-2.50 elsewhere. Not a huge markup which is fine but on one of my visits I went to debit the purchase, and it was an additional $1 or 2 because anything under $5 carries a fee. I wish the owner who is mostly nice warned me or put up a sign. I could've basically got 2 bags of ice for 1 elsewhere at this point. If you're coming here to spend less than $5, be warned.
