Yes, another eatery at Makati Cinema Square! Sen Lek is one Thai man's answer to Manila's lack of delicious and affordable Thai food. It's owned by an enterprising fellow from Thailand named Mr. Suwan. I can honestly tell you that "delicious" and "affordable" are usually mutually exclusive when it comes to Thai food restaurants or kiosks in Manila. Sen Lek, thankfully, is an exception. They don't offer EVERY Thai dish there is, but the ones they offer, they make well. They have three noodle soup dishes, at about P100 or even less. The noodles and ingredients they use are authentic Thai, as is the large pot they use to heat the soup. What is also great about this "little Thai kiosk that could" is their other offerings on the menu; their famous Khao Pad Khai, Khao Pad Mu, and Khao Pad Seafood. That's translated as Chicken, Pork, and Seafood fried rice. The servings are heaping bowls of rice fried with egg, spring onions, cabbage, and of course, Thailand's signature fish sauce. Enjoy any and all these dishes with their own Thai Iced Milk Tea. All the meals here are pretty good, and make for a great, filling meal for only P100 each. And what Thai food kiosk be without Pad Thai? Also at around P100 per serving, their Pad Thai is just like what you'd have if you were actually in Thailand. Delicious, filling, and cheap, it's no surprise that Sen Lek is usually full for lunch or dinner. Go before 12 PM if you plan to have lunch there, or order their food to go since seating is limited. read more
