This place came highly recommended for our first time visiting Sorrento and it did not disappoint. One of the few places that accept reservations and that was really convenient. Prices were all super affordable too even for drinks even being so central to the towns location too. We started with their recommended Shrimp appetizer and it was one of the most memorable bites of our trip. the warm shrimp inside wrapped in this crunchy pasta was like an italian shrimp tempura, all with a lemon cream dipping sauce underneath. Must Try! My Carbonara was excellently done, I will say much more filling than I expected! The Gnocchi was delicious and almost reminded us of a vodka sauce. We also got a Hugo Spritz and Lemon Spritz for 10 Euro each, really reasonable for the area so definitely check this place out if you're visiting Sorrento. read more

We came for a later dinner at the peak of Italian tourist season. At first, the owner said there were no tables open, but after walking around for a bit and asking a second time (nowhere else looked as good!), they let us in. The patio is beautiful with very cute modern light fixtures. Our server was attentive and helpful. We ordered the fried pasta appetizer, which came with fresh mozzarella. It was incredible. Everyone in my party really enjoyed their pasta. I had the pesto and it was delicious. The menu had something for everyone. Top carbonara of my 2-week trip to Italy in October 2024. We found this restaurant by searching for "carbonara" on Google Maps and it did not lead us astray! We didn't have a reservation so we were told it would be about an hour wait. We weren't hungry yet, so we decided to stick it out, even in the rain. We ended up getting in about 20 minutes later when a table opened up. We got 2 versions of carbonara and spritzes to drink. Everything was wonderful. The carbonara was so creamy and simple. I loved it so much. The ambiance was so fun, some neon pasta themed lights and pasta patterns on lampshades. It was probably a touristy spot, but we had a wonderful time and the service was friendly. Made dinner reservations for 6:30pm. I got a glass of white wine and started with the mozzarella and prosciutto app with fried pasta - it was larger than expected and very delicious. For pastas, we chose the nerano pasta and ravioli. The spaghetti alla nerano was the perfect comfort food - it met my high expectations - and the ravioli were very good also. Pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauces were great. For dessert, we tried tiramisu and cherry 'ravioli'. We liked both, but I preferred the tiramisu. Venturing out tonight away from our tour group, the Concierge recommended a "Homemade" pasta place down the base of Sorrento, so we grab a taxi & head down. No Reservations and its Italian Independence Day so everyone is eating out tonight. We are seated in the front area overlooking the walkway & Sergio our server was great all evening. Wine lists have photos with wine descriptions which I feel every place should have LOL. We select a wine, and we are off & running. 3 of us tonight. We start with the "FRIED PASTA PLATTER" which was unlike anything I've ever had. All types of pasta & Vegetables quick fried with Spicy Marinara as well as a mayonnaise based dipping sauce on the side. A great starter, which was more inclined to bar food than a fine dining experience, but the presentation & taste were quite unique. Moving on. 3 Entrees, all homemade pastas. Rigatoni with marinara seemed like a safe bet, but it had or tasted like it had a hint of cream which made this dish truly outstanding. Simple but really good flavor. Ravioli, homemade obviously were stuffed with 3 types of cheeses in the same sauce as above. Equally outstanding. Homerun on the Spaghetti carbonara with pancetta, which is always lukewarm, but somehow, they were able to elevate it to hot without turning the egg into scrambled. 2 Coffees where hot & Fresh. As stated, Sergio was great all night & the price points were very reasonable based on service & food quality. Not sure when I'll be in Sorrento again, but for those visiting Highly recommended. read more

Cool little pasta shop located just off the main street in Sorrento. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Quite nice sitting outside as its enclosed. We tried the pesto and the seafood pasta. The fried pasta appetizer was different and if you love prosciutto and mozarella it has a good amount of that on the plate. But the fried spaghetti sounded a lot better in theory than eating them. Headline: this is a great homemade red sauce pasta place. Had a reservation for 9pm that we called the day of to make (would recommend making a reservations by phone as we saw many groups get turned away at 8:45pm). They have homemade pasta which is very good and served perfectly Al Dante. It ranges from about 6€ to 18€ for the pasta. I ordered the lemon pasta with tuna, which was a nicer pasta, and it was 16€. My brother ordered another one of the fancier pastas which was 18€. Their beer selection was sub-par but you can never go wrong with Heineken! My husband and I came to Semola for dinner after passing it during our afternoon walk. I love pasta and after a week of traveling in Italy, am a sucker for fresh pasta. So seeing their sign that they have fresh pasta drew me in. Semola is a bit off the main path but it gets its fair share of tourists walking by, and I was a bit worried that it only had one other yelp review. The first review said they have been open for 3 months or so, and really yelp doesn't seem too big in Italy anyway. We had SUCH a good dinner, and for a very reasonable price. I forgot to get pics of our main meals, I got the gnocchi alla sorrentina which was really tasty. The gnocchi had the perfect texture and the tomato sauce was really well seasoned with enough cheese to be tasty but not overpowering. My husband got the pasta with lemon sauce and tuna tartare which he said was his best meal in sorrento. Then dessert (you can see my pic) was a fried spaghetti with Nutella and whipped cream on top.
