The service was exceptional from start to finish. The food was a true immersion into Portuguese cuisine, and the octopus was honestly some of the best I've ever had. For dessert, we chose the chocolate mousse, and both the presentation and flavor were unlike anything I've experienced before--absolutely incredible. I can't say enough about the staff and manager. Their warmth and attention to detail made this meal one of the most memorable of my travels. Highly recommended!

It would have been a 5 star rating if not for the fact that the lamb was super chewy and all fat, and the vegetables were drenched in oil. My fish selection was perfection! As was my husband's steak. I had the fish soup and was surprised to see it had macaroni pasta in it, so that was a first. Wine was good, and the ambiance was wonderful outside in the square. Of course, this is mainly for steaks (I believe) anything else relies on iodized salt. I always start with the choco frito which is similar to fast food fish and chips but the fish is denser, like a scallop. It is always very good. They have beer on tap and an excellent house wine as well as many other options. I stick to the beer. If you're adventurous you should try the sardines, locals swear by them but I've never been able to get all the bones out. The bones are not much of an issue if you've ever eaten fish. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, I've never been disappointed when dining here. It's a casual environment, you can catch a football game (soccer) on one of the large TVs and they typically have music playing. At the right time of year street performers will come by and entertain you if you're sitting on the patio area. The patio look out over the harbor and makes for an excellent backdrop for a casual lunch. I'll be back in October and I'll be heading there for sure, I'll be sure to add a few pictures to my review.
