I'm surprised at the inaccurate and unfair review placed by Joe. I'm preparing to rehire Daren Selvaggio for a second time as he has already done exceptional work on my home in Orchard Park. I found this assessment by Joe and I have to comment. It almost sounds like a personal issue and should not be counted as a demonstration of his skill or workmanship. Furthermore, although I don't know the work done at Joe's residence, I know the contractor and the remarks mentioned of his character traits are impossible to be true. Nor should Yelp be used to review a personal matter or dispute but instead a factual mention of his performance in his trade and industry. After carefully conducting a search I found Daren, to begin what turned out to be a major remodel. Daren's professionalism is second to none. He does promise a lot, he claims that he can literally build a house from the ground up and if in anyway I'm not pleased with the job he will make it right. This contractor was punctual communicated with the homeowners throughout the entire process, and followed up on several occasions to ensure that the job was done correctly and the work was maintained months after it was completed. He is a perfectionist much like myself. He installed carpet re-did my entire kitchen, including plumbing backsplash Dupont Corian countertops and oven range and a lot more. He did both interior and exterior work, repainted the inside of my entire home, from drywall to insulation everything was done to the highest standards. I experienced severe home damage Feb 2015 in my Orchard Park home. I had a insurance settlement and started to line up reputable contractors to renovate my home. The first check came in and work was scheduled to start with a Mold remediation company Service Master, and a new roof by Sahlems.. Thus the nightmare began, my mortgage was sold to Nationstar where customer service is is so bad, similar to Selvaggio they are not recognized by the BBB. My new mortgage company demanded I hire a General Contractor to oversee all work. Selvaggio was alloted 6% of total price to do this and he assured me He had professional contractors to restore my property to a industry standard professional condition. His roofers appeared to be ex convicts who worked off the books. His painters, and drywall experts consisted of his 16 year old son and two college students. He was fired October 2015, my cathedral ceilings have more cracks than after the initial damage, his response was , your going to sell so I'll just repatch before you list!!!! I am presently unable to hire a reputable contractor to finish work as he refuses to acknowledge my lawyers correspondence. To date he has recieved 88% of insurance funds alloted and refuses to sign off on remaining funds so I can begin to get my house in order. Zero Rating E. McCall read more

Durren somehow has had numerous reviews removed/moved to not recommended. I don't know how that is possible as they were all firsthand critiques of his subpar work. Why would he take the time to hide the truth rather than remedy his bad work? Please consider that he engaged me and attacked my issues with his work on Yelp prior to having my firsthand review of his work removed. In his engagement, he failed to address any of the points I made in regards to the work he purveyed upon the premises in question. He lied about having a warranty on a roof he installed. He lied about his drywall work, that was verified by a neutral party Durren himself selected. Durren and his under the table and unskilled labor painted like they were drunk and blindfolded, installed floors like gravity didn't exist, gutters like ponds were meant to exist within them. This is a response to Joe Souliere and his mother Elaine McCall Souliere the two of them harassed myself and my family for years, beating us out of tens of thousands of dollars 14,000 is what was awarded in a court of law, which they made a mockery of. they were awarded a insurance claim through the November storm and Joe and his mother we're trying to take advantage of every penny they got from it that happened to include not paying me close to $19,000 as a final payment claiming the house had all kinds of issues, when it was clear the pictures were taken by the bank and everything checked out but after that, joe decided to vandalized the home and claim that's how it was left by the contractor. even with a money judgment from the courts, which i attached a photo of, i'll never see the money they reside in Florida and can't be touched there. it truly was a nightmare to go through and I continue to have to deal with it with these post being displayed here. read more
