I have been training with Alfredo Castro for the past three weeks at Self Made Training Facility. Achieving my fitness goals is everything to me. Alfredo is an extremely committed trainer. When I told him that I was diabetic, Alfredo said that it was no problem. He worked up a meal plan that suits my needs. Every time I step into the training facility, I feel a rush. The energy that is transmitted when you walk through those doors is awesome. The individual attention to my diet and overall workout sessions is something I had never experienced before. Alfredo challenges and pushes me in every single session. My doctor congratulated me on my A1C level (A1C is basically a test that provides my doctor with info of my overall diabetes control). He said 'whatever you're doing, just keep doing it because it's working wonders with your health.' I told him I owe it all to my trainer, Alfredo. Alfredo is a beast! I trained with Glayol Kashani from built by g @built_byg for 6 months now, and she was able to get me interested in pursuing my weight loss journey again. I felt weight loss wasn't in the cards for me, I had tried everything in the past and i seemed to keep gaining weight. She pushes me like no one else, every workout is way different than how I would train on my own and during our rest periods, she'd give me detailed nutrition feedback. I've lost almost 40 lbs with her guidance, I commute almost an hour to see her and she's worth every minute of the drive. She's very knowledgeable about the science behind exercises and tweaked the program for me as a caregiver and needed to be strong in different positions for my job. She added exercises to my workouts for my lower back pain, and helped me get stronger at my job. Costa Mesa!! I cannot express how much I love this facility! From the facility itself to the people in it! Self Made CM has literally every single thing you need... a weight room stacked with squat racks, power racks, benches, dumbbells, machines, an amazing boxing ring, boxing bags and more! Oh, they even have a nice studio area where they host fitness and dance classes! They literally have everything you need in a private training facility! I personally train with Kye Daley and he is an amazing coach! The knowledge this man has is incredible! I also train with Paulie and Erin whenever I want to put on the gloves! After two weeks of training with Josh I can already see results and feel stronger. I have trained with many trainers in the past, Josh Gardner is by far the best trainer that I've came across. He provides personalized training and focuses to reach your goals. Josh is very knowledgeable, patient and professional. I totally dropped my 24 hour fitness membership. This place is way better. All the equipment is new, clean, and state of the art. Because it is a private gym it isn't crowded. I worked with Chris Burke and he is an excellent trainer--always reachable and motivating. There is so much to do here: weights, cardio, cross fit stuff, boxing, bikes, even an MMA octagon cage. It's crazy that this is available right here in Costa Mesa/Newport. Worth the money. read more
