I've been going to self made for a little over a year and I have really loved the environment there. There aren't any creepy people staring or anyone awkwardly trying to talk to you. Everyone is there to workout and really interested in the same goal. It's very welcoming. All the trainers are really great, but I especially love mine, Irene. She's so sweet and caring and she really pushes me to my limit, which is what I need in a trainer! He always made me push really hard and I kept being inspired to continue, and never ever give up. I started to come to this gym a while back when my brother introduced me to it. Pretty cool business for trainers and clients. Rather than the trainers only getting a percentage of a session, they get to keep the entirety of it and pay just a base rent. For someone who has managed a gym for over 5 years back in my younger days, I see this as an excellent business model. One of the owners, Scarlette, is one amazing individual. The light that shines through her is felt by anyone who is surrounding her. I've watched her grow heavily in this facility. The way she continues to care for the trainers and her clients is so naturally genuine. So, how should I begin? Just like everyone who had a bad experience at this gym, I was being tricked by their "too good to be true" Instagram posts. After browsing and choosing the available PTs on their Insta, I decided to go with my second PT option, Maddy. Since the first one never replied to me. Everything went fine at first until I found out how my PT was being dishonest with me. I feel betrayed and immediately wanting to end the sessions with her. Now, when the question of refund kicks in, everyone becomes greedy and shows their true being. I wanted to end in good terms. I haven't even started, not even half into my sessions and were begging her to refund me, even if it's just a partial one. She refused stating the policy of nonrefundable deposits. I call this bs since the first month should be more understandable about refunding since not everyone will have a great experience with their PT. Special circumstances should definitely be consider. Especially with my situation. I wanted to end right away and barely used 1 out of 8 sessions. But well, guess I was dumb enough to let this gym and their PT played me dirty. Big life lesson has been learned. Lost a pretty big amount of hard-working money to this place. So please be careful everyone. Choose your gym and PT carefully. Not everything you see on social media is true. Research first! PLEASE, PLEASE READ every single damn page of the contract before signing anything. Also, be aware, this gym will charge you a 10% tax even though l the payment is made through Venmo or Zelle. You don't even receive an actual receipt of how the charge was made with the tax or a copy of the contract. So.. Are they even filing taxes correctly? Shady huh... read more

I've never had a private trainer in a private facility but the young man that I'm working with Is really putting me to work. One thing I love about working with him is he doesn't just focus on the weights he has a holistic approach which includes food intake, weights and mindset with feedback. After tough workouts he regularly checks in to make ensure training was good and I'm on track with my macros, he is accessible and responds in a timely fashion with any questions or concerns. I was fortunate enough to book a few sessions with Natalie over my holiday break. I wanted to focus on learning how to navigate the weight room solo. Natalie was phenomenal- she met me where I was at and challenged me to push more weight and correct my form every session. The space is the definition of "hip". Simply spotless, amazing training machines that you won't find in a regular gym and cool music. All for you to feel great and work hard. I have been coming here for almost half a year now and I just wanted to give my trainer, Nancy Do, a freakin 10 out of 10!!!!! She is amazing and I would highly recommend her. Nancy genuinely cares about her clients and will ask how you are feeling. She customizes your plan based off of your personal goals because everyone is different. I've never had a great relationship with food or the gym but Nancy is able to help me with that. I have always worked out but I never knew what I was doing and had no confidence. Nancy was able to teach me proper form and basic moves before moving up to more difficult compound moments such as the squat or deadlift. Nancy also customizes your macros based off of your body and goals. I've bumped up in calories to gain mass while my girl friend, who also had Nancy as a trainer, went down in calories to loose fat. I definitely see an improvement in my posture, my confidence in the gym, and my strength. I can see the difference in my strength when I go rock climbing and my overall body seems to be looking better. As for the facility itself, its nice because there are only trainers and clients.There is no gym membership. You only have the fee to pay your trainer. It's not too often that I feel that I have to wait for a machine or certain dumbbells although I wish there were another set of lighter weights for weak people like me. Downside is that the parking lot is quite small, fitting only about 15 cars. I like to park on the street around the corner to avoid the parking lot altogether. Some of the equipment is run down or broken...but most things are working well. There are three restrooms in this facility and there doesn't seem to be a water fountain so make sure to bring your own water. read more
