Are they inexpensive? Nope. Are they good? Oh yeah!! Oscar and his crew trimmed, balanced, and laced two large tipuana tipu trees on our property. Hats off to Oscar and his team for all the hard work they put in. After 20+ years of never caring for our trees they came and cleaned everything up in 2.5 days and for a price I felt was beyond fair. Our yard looks much more open and for the first time in a LONG time I feel motivated to clean up the rest of the yard waste. They cut 4 ficus, one which had to be completely removed, 1 ginormous California pepper, 3 jacaranda's, 1 willow, and 3 eucalyptus. The California pepper and willow tree were so over grown that they were starting to crack. Every day his team was careful of the surrounding area involving each tree. They had to maneuver around our neighbors yards, power lines, sheds, chicken coup, koi pond, dual levels of our property and the heat. The first thing that impressed me about Oscar when we first met was how adamant he is about never "topping" trees. I always cringe when I see trees that have been topped instead of properly pruned. On occasion I have tried to talk him out of heavy pruning when he suggests it really needs to be done, but I trust him and have always been happy with the result. They removed our beetle infested Canary Palm and ground out the stump, and except for the empty spot where the tree used to be you can't even tell they were there. The area was left spotless with no damage to the surrounding plants, fence or lath house. They even put plywood panels up to cover and protect the lath house and windows that were close. read more

We called Select Tree Service to give us a quote on a overgrown Palm tree. They came and gave us a quote in a very timely fashion. When the day came to cut down the palm tree, a crew of at least 5 guys showed up to do the job. Of course, they masked themselves when they were under 6 feet of me or anyone else. He stopped by the same day to walk my property with me. I had many overgrown Birds of Paradise that had grown over 30 ft tall and looked hideous in addition to leaning against my house or entangling in power/cable wires. He gave me a fair quote for the scope of work and made an appointment to come back two days later. On the day of work the crew showed up promptly at 7am and began work. We had two extremely large, difficult palm trees to be taken out along with stump removal. Oscar came out, gave us an estimate and the following Monday they came out and remove them and were very professional. It was a huge job. The price was very fair for what they had to do, they had it all done in the morning after 3 1/2 hours, and everything was cleaned up and all the workers were very professional.
