I'm very satisfied with the paving job that Richard Ruck Paving did on my driveway. The price was…read morereasonable but what really impressed me was when they discovered that there were essentially THREE layers of asphalt that needed to be dug up instead of one, they didn't charge me extra. Although they probably would have had ever right to do so, I was so grateful that they didn't. The final result is a beautifully paved new section to my driveway. This is a long time family owned business and they're hard working, honest and conscientious people. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them to do other jobs and will definitely recommend them to my friends.

After these last two storms in Maine we had massive damage to our trees and Matt took care of them very well, removing a large larch tree that was threatening to fall on our garage, trimming a very tall and difficult shagbark hickory and then quickly taking care of a few maples that were in need of trimming. He and his crew are hard working and we appreciate them greatly.

During the job, however, our garage door and the surrounding metal casing were damaged. To his credit, he offered to file an insurance claim. We agreed instead on a simpler solution--he offered to come back and seal the driveway at no cost. Since then, I've followed up multiple times over an extended period to try to schedule the sealing, but unfortunately haven't been able to get a response. I'm sharing this not to be negative, but in hopes of reconnecting and getting this resolved. The work itself was strong, and based on that experience, I'd still like to see this situation brought to a fair close.

The service and outcome received by CKC Landscaping far exceeded my expectations. Kenny had strong communication skills from the start and was very transparent on the timeline and cost. He and his team were friendly and respectful while they diligently worked on the project. Additionally, Kenny easily and efficiently managed an issue that arose while working on the project and handled it all. After hydro seeding the area Kenny checked in several times to ensure the grass was growing in properly and provided tips to encourage and maintain growth. Kenny's commitment to the project, strong communication skills and quality work are just a few reasons of many reasons I highly recommend working with CKC Landscaping.

Mike Fox from Maine Proofing came out, walked on the roof, saw the existing patchwork and leaky vents that had been caulked some time ago. He agreed that there was enough slope for a metal roof. I chose a dark blue, standing (hidden) seam. I learned that the roofing was supplied by Maine Amish. I was happy to buy from a local source. Once the dumpster arrived, he and the crew got the job done in three days. The sheathing was intact and did not need replaced. I decided to have the shingles removed, and that was done. He and the crew installed new boots for the vent and caulked them--one of the old ones had a large hornet's inside! They installed a high temp ice and water shield over the whole roof. This was covered by a snap lock standing seam metal roof, 19 gauge, I think. They installed rake trim along the rakes and the gable ends complete with starter J channel, and Z closures at the cap installation, and used Geosill and butylene sealing tape where needed. The debris was cleaned up, at least 99%. I'm happy. I did not get the chance to borrow their ladder to take pics, but my stepson went up and confirmed that it was well done. Thank you, Mike and crew!
