It doesn't seem plausible to me that it would be necessary for them to be there since the fire department would be too busy dealing with a fire to talk to them. I realize that going to a fire is far more exciting than meeting with a prospective client. These last minute cancellations have happened to me twice before with other companies I have made appointments with in the past year. It must be clearly understood by the managers of these companies that people often times have to take time off from work and deal with other inconveniences to meet with workmen and last minute cancellations are unacceptable. You only get one chance with me. Next time I will reschedule and purposely miss the appointment and let them know what it's like to have someone waste your time.

During the job, however, our garage door and the surrounding metal casing were damaged. To his credit, he offered to file an insurance claim. We agreed instead on a simpler solution--he offered to come back and seal the driveway at no cost. Since then, I've followed up multiple times over an extended period to try to schedule the sealing, but unfortunately haven't been able to get a response. I'm sharing this not to be negative, but in hopes of reconnecting and getting this resolved. The work itself was strong, and based on that experience, I'd still like to see this situation brought to a fair close.

I'm very satisfied with the paving job that Richard Ruck Paving did on my driveway. The price was…read morereasonable but what really impressed me was when they discovered that there were essentially THREE layers of asphalt that needed to be dug up instead of one, they didn't charge me extra. Although they probably would have had ever right to do so, I was so grateful that they didn't. The final result is a beautifully paved new section to my driveway. This is a long time family owned business and they're hard working, honest and conscientious people. He then told me I should have called him. He claimed the problem was with my e-mail service, not his. My e-mail works fine . It is Mr. Nichols that doesn't. He essentially said he really didn't need my business and that " I contacted him". Yes, from a business ad in which he reached out to the public. I believe there are some responsibility problems here. There is professional help out there, maybe they will return his contact. If not , stay away.
