We couldn't be happier with our new driveway from Korpaczewski Asphalt! After meeting with several…read morecontractors and reviewing their work, we chose Korpaczewski--and couldn't be more pleased with our decision. The quality of their work is exceptional. They completely removed the old asphalt, regraded the area, and installed a properly compacted and pitched base coat for excellent drainage. Two weeks later, they returned to apply the finished asphalt. Korpaczewski was the only contractor we met with that uses this two-coat system, and the difference in quality really shows. John and his crew were professional, courteous, efficient, and incredibly clean. They kept everything tidy throughout the project and even washed the street at the end of each day. Their equipment is impressive, too--our neighbors thought the whole street was being replaced! The workmanship is impeccable, the finished driveway looks fantastic, and their pricing was very reasonable. We highly recommend John and Korpaczewski Asphalt! They exceeded our expectations from start to finish.

Jamie from Custom Concrete of Maine was definitely the right person for the job. He replied to my online inquiry and came to the house to check out the project within 24 hrs. He gave me a detailed cost estimate before he even left the house. The next day, he worked a 10+ hr day and completed the project. He communicated clearly with me about the extent of the work; he told me when to expect him at the house; and he gave me project updates along the way. Based on my experience with other concrete contractors in the area, Jamie's rates are very reasonable. In the end I was happy with the repaired floor. He's one of the good ones and I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again!

It was a bit of a tricky job because it was in our living room and we have vaulted ceilings. He clearly explained how he was going to do it, calmly listened to our fears about chimney dust, holes in our roof, and broken floors, and then got the job done ahead of schedule! I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who is looking for a good mason in the area.

After these last two storms in Maine we had massive damage to our trees and Matt took care of them very well, removing a large larch tree that was threatening to fall on our garage, trimming a very tall and difficult shagbark hickory and then quickly taking care of a few maples that were in need of trimming. During the job, however, our garage door and the surrounding metal casing were damaged. To his credit, he offered to file an insurance claim. We agreed instead on a simpler solution--he offered to come back and seal the driveway at no cost. Since then, I've followed up multiple times over an extended period to try to schedule the sealing, but unfortunately haven't been able to get a response. I'm sharing this not to be negative, but in hopes of reconnecting and getting this resolved. The work itself was strong, and based on that experience, I'd still like to see this situation brought to a fair close.
