Bad job a terrible service…read more Last Thursday(10/02/25), a man from fecteau asphalt services llc knocked on my door while I was busy making a cake. He said he wanted to measure my parking lot. I initially assumed my neighbors were going to do some construction. I assumed he was asking permission to enter my property. I quickly agreed, as I was too busy making the cake to talk much. He waited and said he wanted to measure the parking lot. I said okay. He said, "Finish the cake, I'll wait in the car." After I'm done baking the cake. I when out of the house to talk to him about what he said earlier. He said he was doing asphalt in my neighborhood. He was wondering if I wanted to redo my driveway. He said my driveway is wide he asked for $4,500. I explained to him. I'm a home mom. I'm not working. I don't have $4,500. He said, Okay, $4,000 I will do today." I agreed. He said he'd be back in an hour or two. After he returned, he and his teammates started burning grass and started some small work. He told me earlier he'd dig out the old asphalt and replace it with new asphalt. I was busy at the time, so I didn't pay much attention. In the afternoon, after I finished making the cake, I consulted with my neighbor, and they told me that this wasn't digging out the old asphalt. The neighbor then called a young man over to talk. The young man said to me. I might be a misunderstanding. I said I didn't misunderstand what he said. I completely misunderstood. Then the young man went to talk to him(he said his uncle) he said he never said that to me. He said they will redo asphalt surface for me. I felt like this man he's so tricky and he changed his words. He said hun, I said we will put asphalt on top of the old one to make it look new again. I was not very satisfied with what we agreed on. He (the father of the young man )gave me a discount of $200. After the job was done, my boyfriend came home and said the job was sloppy. My neighbors also said the job was very sloppy. There was a hole in the middle, it might crack in the future, and the left side couldn't drain. The front of the job was also sloppy. I contacted him several times. Finally, he called me back and said he was very busy. He sent his father to talk to me last Sunday(10/05/25) and said he would come to fix the job on Tuesday(10/07/25). I waited patiently until 6 pm. There was no contact or message. I sent him a message, but he didn't reply. I called him this morning, but he didn't answer. Don't do asphalt with these people. It's a waste of money, time. Finally, he texted me back after I gave him one star on his website.

It doesn't seem plausible to me that it would be necessary for them to be there since the fire department would be too busy dealing with a fire to talk to them. I realize that going to a fire is far more exciting than meeting with a prospective client. These last minute cancellations have happened to me twice before with other companies I have made appointments with in the past year. It must be clearly understood by the managers of these companies that people often times have to take time off from work and deal with other inconveniences to meet with workmen and last minute cancellations are unacceptable. You only get one chance with me. Next time I will reschedule and purposely miss the appointment and let them know what it's like to have someone waste your time.

A technically proficient professional and an easy to talk to guy who explains things clearly and listens to your concerns and ideas. We hired Leroy White to take out an old, creosote-soaked chimney. It was a bit of a tricky job because it was in our living room and we have vaulted ceilings. He clearly explained how he was going to do it, calmly listened to our fears about chimney dust, holes in our roof, and broken floors, and then got the job done ahead of schedule! During the job, however, our garage door and the surrounding metal casing were damaged. To his credit, he offered to file an insurance claim. We agreed instead on a simpler solution--he offered to come back and seal the driveway at no cost. Since then, I've followed up multiple times over an extended period to try to schedule the sealing, but unfortunately haven't been able to get a response. I'm sharing this not to be negative, but in hopes of reconnecting and getting this resolved. The work itself was strong, and based on that experience, I'd still like to see this situation brought to a fair close.
