Devlin Dizacomo was assigned to me as my therapist. He has terrible bed side manner, which I briefly noticed at our very first visit. He does not listen fully to patient before inserting his opinion. He never really asked about my diagnosis, more just asked about pain and the effects on my life. My last visit there I left in tears. He was so condescending, uncaring, impatient, and just plain rude. He would ask questions and then interrupt my answers. When I walked in he sat down at his computer and asked how I was doing since the last visit. I started telling him I'm still in some pain bending and moving, and I have a new pain in my arm, shoulder and neck. He interrupted and said my muscles are just not strong enough. I told him I feel it more with one exercise and I wondered if I was doing that exercise wrong? His response to me was to tell me, did not ask me...to get on the bike and proceeded to tell me we only have 30 minute sessions, as if I was wasting time answering his questions. Then he did not even turn on the bike, while peddling a bike not even set to programming, he asked if I was feeling my muscles getting stronger. I told him sometimes yes, but some exercises are also very painful at times. His response was you're just not a believer in the process. I told him I felt that was a very big assumption on his part as I've only been seen 3 times in 2 weeks and I'm still doing exercises at home as well. He said if all I'm going to do is complain and not believe in the life style change then I was never going to get better. I told him I think we're done today because his attitude was crappy the moment I walked in. I had been there for 7 minutes total. I started going to select physical therapy for help with spinal stenosis, a herniated lumbar disc, a bulging lumbar disc just above, Lumbar spondylosis, Sacroiliitis, and Lumbar radiculopathy...so I'm pretty sure 2 weeks under Devlin's care wasn't enough time to be the life changing story I assume he wanted to hear. This was the worst experience dealing with anyone in the medical field as a patient. I will never put my medical care in his hands again! read more
