A little about me: I am a fan of holistic, naturalpathic, and homeopathic methods of healing illness and discomfort so for more of my 30 years I have been going to acupuncturists, herbalist, and chiropractors for wellness maintenance. I got into a pretty bad car accident last year that was the first time I had ever been admitted into a hospital emergency room. After a couple of weeks I was pretty much back to normal and within a couple of months the whole thing seemed like a blur. Then 10 months later I was hit suddenly with unexplained symptoms that included: numbness on the left side of my face and neck, consistent panic attacks and increased anxiety, some tingling in my arms and fingers, and eventually some pain in my neck. I went to a chiropractic office in Boulder after a week of the symptoms and freaked out about what it could be though I got a lot of feedback that it seemed related to my accident. After seeing them for a few weeks my symptoms lessened - which made me feel I was on the right track. I saw them for 4 months during which my symptoms went in and out, but I never felt like I was actually getting better. It seemed like I had hit a plateau and couldn't get to some of the deeper aspects of the injury. I started seeing an acupuncturist and this helped with the anxiety, but not with the pain or the worst symptom: the really freaky feeling that my head was going to fall off, which I hear is common in C1 injuries. Several of my friends and colleagues urged me to see Network Family Wellness and so finally I did. I read some of the other reviews here and I agree that spinal analysis adjustments look very different (not mainstream at all) and sometimes you think..."is this really going to work?" One thing that really won me over was that Dr. Dan did a sample adjustment before they even asked me if I wanted to sign up as a patient. This let me get a sense of what I was walking into (because it is a commitment) and I definitely felt a difference - I felt more relaxed and the panicky feeling had lessened. I signed up and have been coming to Network for about 3 weeks so far. I do feel like the really deep and underlying issues behind and before my car accident are being addressed. The pain comes and goes (it is not yet gone) but it feel different - and change is good, it means something is reorganizing in the body. One of my skills is that I have a very keen awareness of shifts in my body and so may be picking up the changes a bit quicker. It might take some people a month or two before they notice shifts, but for the 5 people who urged me to go they all swear by it. So far I give Network 4 stars because the staff is friendly, they have time to answer my questions if I ask, and they are invested in my healing journey. I live and get adjustments from NFWC in Boulder, CO. Not sure why Yelp has me listed in the incorrect city....anyway here's my review! Nearly 6 months in treatment and very pleased with the physical and emotional changes. I was most surprised at the emotional changes that I have only recently become aware of; have a more calm and happy outlook on life! Looking forward to continuing my care with this very special group of providers whose focus is the education and wellbeing of their clients. I have been getting network Chiropractic for over 20 years, although what it is and does goes so far beyond conventional Chiropractic. It is really not comparable! I have serious congenital plus other back problems, and when I was 18 and refused the Doctors to do surgery to fuse my spine, stick a steel rod up it for a year and be in a body cast, - the Orthopedic Doctors-many- said I would end up in a wheelchair later in life. That was going on 40 years ago. Now instead of a wheel chair, I am actually doing BETTER than in my youth!!! "The Doctors" cannot explain the "miraculous" healing in my spine. And truly it is due to Network. I LOOK FORWARD to regular weekly visits,which I do not only for my spine's continued healing but because of the unbelievable healing and balancing it gives to my nervous system-- believe me, it's power over the nervous system is BEYOND whatever drug the Doctor has you try for nervous system and mood support. I am 46 years old. I recently went to Network Family Wellness Center (NFWC) for a health evaluation. I felt I was basically healthy, but thought it was a good time to find out 'how I stood' from a professional. I did have some issues including some joint pain (result of injury) and a rapid heart beat. I have since realized that my rapid heart beat was likely due to my body overworking to maintain its essential functions, along with staving off illness while dealing with daily challenges and stress. It's been a little over two months since I began receiving treatment at NFWC. I now realize that I had actually gotten used to various pains and afflictions. I've been noticing that I'm not feeling pain in my neck after working on my computer or doing certain exercises. My heart beat has dramatically decreased and is a more relaxed rate than I ever recall . There are other improvements including: less hip joint pain and stiffness, increased blood flow, deeper easier breathing, and the structure of my body just looks better. I have for a long time believed that people can maintain great health without medication. I now understand that is very true, but an unencumbered nerve flow is essential in the brain and body's communication necessary for the system to function as it was meant to. The staff at NFWC is very helpful and offer other services such as massage, health workshops, health products and an abundance of cutting edge health information. Drs Danny and Richelle are really helping to transform the way my body works and thinks. It is different than other chiropractors (no "cracking") and I describe it more like energy work to friends but there is more to it than that even. I read the other reviews here and if you go in with a negative and skeptic mentality it probably won't work for you. I can see how the initial video and consultation may turn you off but if you stopped every experience at first judgement you would miss out on so much! There is work that you have to do, it is your body after all. It took my body 30 plus year to get into the state it was, and only after 6 months I am seeing huge differences. Besides much less back pain I have decreased my anxiety attacks dramatically. I was having episodes once a week at least and now I have maybe one episode every two months (no meds) I do go regularly (twice a week) and I participate in the workshops and breathing exercises. You'll get out of it what you put into it. The doctors and staff are super friendly and will always talk to you privately if you need them to. There is a purpose for everyone in the same room. It is more about the collective experience and what you can learn from watching other people. You have to give it a chance. I have seen tremendous improvements in my scans. I even asked how do I know they aren't manipulating the results, and they kindly explained to me and showed my how their machines work. This is the real deal! After a lifetime of never visiting a chiropractor, I got a Minor Traumatic Brain Injury and became willing to try anything. And I did: including but not limited to a concision/Brain injury specialist, an occupational therapist, a neuro-optometrist, a speech therapist and thousands of dollars worth of Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments. Then my yoga teacher referred me to NFWC. After months of daily level-10 headaches I began to experience relief. If you are looking for a normal, crack-your-neck kind of Chiro, this isn't the place. However I wasn't looking for that. I was looking for relief and a new relationship with my nervous system, pain and my body as a whole. If you want your life entirely reorganized, with the divine design you were born to be guiding that reorganization I HIGHLY recommend reading "The 12 Stages of Healing" (The basic manual for Network Chiropractic) and then making an initial appointment at NFWC. I came to NFWC because a good friend had amazing results, so I gave it a try and have been amazed at the progress I have made in both my physical and mental well being. I have had cronic pain in my lower back for several years, and nothing has been working. Over the past year and a half coming to NFWC I have ~50% less pain and much greater mobility - it's not an overnight fix all, it takes time but trusting the process has shown improvements not only in by back but in my mental well being also. I find I am able to deal with work and life stresses much better (I dont dwell on the stresses as much and it's easier to let them go, in fact my blood pressure has dropped in my last yearly checkup after 6 months of treatment), i fell much happier and have better focus at work. I also love the community that Danny and Richelle have crafted, the staff is amazing and enthusiastic, remembering eveyrone's name that walks in and out the door, and the doctors are attentive and caring. I am a relative new comer to Network family wellness, having only been getting adjustments for about 4 months now, but I already notice a difference in my body. I have been working late hours and long (14hr.) graveyard shifts at work recently, but I have not been experiencing any fatigue headaches or the usual 'you've been working too hard' fever. For the first time since I finished my master's degree, I do not have lingering, chronic stress related pain in my neck. I have more energy, more patience and generally a better handle on my temper. These are things i thought could never change as long as I was pushing my way towards becoming a doctor. I never thought I could work the way I needed to without feeling constantly tired, tremendously sore and generally short tempered. Wow! Definitely give Network Chiropractics a chance. I have been healing from a spinal injury for the past 3 years and this is the first form of treatment in which I can feel a significant shift in my body after only one month of treatment. I have more consciousness and freedom in my body to make my own postural corrections and can feel the gradual release of tension and realignment taking place. Trust the subtly of this work. This is the kind of body work that asks you to take an active role in realizing the changes occurring in your body. What a beautiful opportunity! If signing on to their suggested plan is too overwhelming a commitment to you, then try them out for a month and see how you feel. Subtly works over an extended period of time, so give it a chance. These people are really wonderful and they care deeply about their clients. I'm shocked to see any 1 star reviews on here about them being a scam. They are quite the opposite of a scam. My son and I have both been going every week for the last 15 months. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They make you feel as though you are the only patient they have when they work on you. As another reviewer said, there isn't any sort of cracking or popping. It's all quite gentle. They also invest any amount of time to understand what's going on with your body, to answer questions, to educate you on what to do improve your spinal health. I will say, though, this is not a magic pill sort of place and lots of people are looking for magic pills. You will need to dedicate some time, money and energy to getting better if you want this process to work. I started coming to Network Family Wellness Center in mid-December. I was referred by a very dear and trusted friend. I have been truly amazed at the improvements I have experienced in such a short period of time. I came to Dr. Knowles because most notably I was beginning to experience a great deal of joint pain. This has diminished greatly in just a few short weeks. Not only am I close to being pain-free, but I feel much more relaxed in my body and I am able to breathe much more deeply. My posture is noticeably better and I have been able to tackle and balance being a full-time mom AND participate in performing in my band with much more ease. To say that NFWC changed my life is not an exaggeration. After spending a year trying out several different prescriptions to treat Fibromyalgia, I was taken to a Meet the Doc dinner by my sister. I'll be honest, I was skeptical, but I was also desperate. The medications prescribed to me were not only ineffective, they were causing horrible side effects, so I gave Dr. Danny an opportunity to help me heal. I made a good choice! I am prescription free, my sleep has improved, my pain level is rarely over a 3 and my mental health is better than it's been in a decade. All but one of my "numbers" are now in the normal range. I have been receiving neuro-spinal reorganizational treatment for 6 months and have been very happy with the results. Many benefits: physical as well as emotional! March was a very emotional/sad month for me and the emotional benefit for me has been a much more balanced emotional state which is so comforting knowing that the deep sadness I was feeling has been lifted.
