Pre and "During" COVID-19 review…read more I've been a patient of Western Orthopaedics for quite a few years now, I'd say over 6 years. I've seen three of the doctors here, and I wouldn't go anywhere else! I've seen Dr. White for my left hip (replaced 3 years ago now), Dr. Hatzidakis for my left shoulder (worked on 5 years ago), and Dr. Bazaz for my right knee replacement, 8 months ago. Yes, I had my right knee replaced at the end of February, 2020, about 1.5 weeks prior to the shut down of all elective surgeries everywhere, due to COVID-19. I got in just under the wire. I'm very glad I did too. Knee replacement has been hard, I'll admit that. The hardest thing has been getting the ROM (Range of Motion) back. I'm doing fine now, with over 125 degrees of ROM. I'm now working on strengthening both of my legs. Anyway, when I went into Western Orthopaedics yesterday (yes, during COVID-19), I could see that they are taking the virus pandemic very seriously. Only the patient and one other person can go in to the see the doctor. The waiting area chairs are marked as to "yes you can sit here," or "no, don't sit here" sort of thing (you know what I mean). The doctors wear masks, along with the remainder of the staff. The technician taking my xrays as well. Thanks, Western Orthopaedics, for taking such good care of me. I truly appreciate it.

This is about Dr. Edward (Ted) Parks and was not the same caring doctor when he did my hip…read morereplacement in 2018. I hurt my back after a fall and thought I would see him, well it was a horrible uncaring experience. He was brief and didn't give any advice but a pain shot. Said I didn't hurt my hip, but it was my spine and he showed me the X-ray and it didn't look good. I asked if I should get physical therapy, stretches anything to help! He gave me a pain shot in my back with NO NURSE present and said if it doesn't work in 10 days to call back. That was it!!! Zero bed side manner, not caring at all.............when this is a huge deal to me. I called and complained to the front desk and they had him call me back. I told him my concerns and he didn't care at all and never apologized. I'm going to Spine One and they actually care. I would never go back to see Dr. Ted Parks ever again and I will never refer him to anyone. What a cold hearted human being. Not the doctor for me.

Highly recommend Atlas PT! Restored my back to full health (after several years of persistent lower…read moreback pain and limited mobility from a sports injury)! Brett and Angela are the best, super personable and knowledgeable, and I always look forward to seeing them. Since I tore a muscle in my lower back playing basketball four years ago, I was never able to fully recover and get back to my active lifestyle of working out and playing sports. I was always in some degree of discomfort and was constantly terrified of re-injuring my back. I would see some slow recovery and then just a slight mis-movement would undo all of my progress. I had worked with chiropractors and massage therapists for a few years and would have short-term benefits but would eventually end up re-injuring myself doing the slightest things. I had never worked with a physical therapist before because honestly I just didn't know what they would do besides have me do things I already know (do some stretches and lift some light weights). I ultimately went to Atlas because I was starting to lose hope and was thinking back surgery may be inevitable. I could not be MORE GRATEFUL for coming to Atlas! It has been life-changing, and that isn't an exaggeration. My back is PAIN-FREE for the first time in YEARS and my lower back mobility and strength is probably better than when I got injured. I have had a couple small setbacks over the last few months but my body recovered so much quicker and it has never gone back to where it was before. Today, I feel great and can't believe that I'm only going in every other week and typically show up without any pain. I'm fully on the path to recovery and have full confidence - for the first time in years - that I will get my life back and have a stronger, more flexible, back than before. It's possible & I highly encourage going to Atlas if you are in the same boat that I was. Thanks Brett and Angela! See you in a couple weeks!

I live with back pain that inevitably works its way up to my head where I get the worst migraines…read more Needle work is the only thing that gives me relief but unfortunately finding someone that is reliable and takes their time has been really hard. In the past I've been rushed in and out after a few quick stabs and while I do get the relief, I don't feel I got what I paid for. At Uptown, I get a full treatment tailored to my needs executed with care and precision. After leaving, not only do I get the pain relief I am looking for, but I get lasting results from the holistic approach and so far, zero soreness from a needle accidentally hitting a nerve ending. Previous needle work providers would tell me that hitting nerves were just a part of the process, come to find out that no, it in fact is not, it's part of the process when you are rushing and don't know what you are doing. I highly recommend Uptown Acupuncture for their professionalism, their level of care, their clean and welcoming facilities, and incredible staff.

Everyone I send his way has similar impressive things to report.
