Dr. White literally saved my life. He performed surgery on me this past June and my life changed completely. My chronic pain started when I was 19 years old, and continued to get worse over the following twelve years. I had numerous surgeries over the years, but nothing helped; in fact, my pain only grew more intense. Saw numerous doctors, who towards the last five years or so said there was nothing wrong with me, other than being a drug addict and having psychological issues. That is when they stopped giving me pain management and put me on Suboxone. It got to where I was either in a wheelchair or my bed for the majority of the last few years. I was no longer begging God to take away my pain, but to take me out of my misery. I was willing to do anything that I could to relief my pain, at all cost. Tried to push away all friends and family, so they would not have to see me screaming and crying, like a wild, injured animal. Also, I thought it would be easier on them when the time came that I could not take any more of the relentless agony that became my life. Luckily, I had my mom, Nanny (mom's mom) and Dr. White for very specific reasons. Of course I am thankful to all of my loved ones, but those three in particular, for they were the participants in the steps that were honestly life altering. My Nanny was my world, I loved her like crazy and vice versa, she used say that I had her wrapped around her finger. She had passed the summer prior to my surgery and a few weeks after she passed I told my mom that I was surprised she had not talked to God about getting my hip fixed, because if anyone could talk God into helping a human it would be my Nanny. And no joke, my mom found Dr. White that same night and I knew that he was the man for the job. When I first met Dr. White, it was the first time I felt as though a doctor genuinely listened and cared about what I was going through. He was not judgmental or quick to jump to assumptions, he simply cared about me as his patient and wanted to help me the best he could. He was there with me every step of the way and I am forever grateful to him for that. On the way home from the hospital I started crying and my mom asked me what was wrong, I explained to her that the bumps in the road did not hurt like they had prior to having surgery. Still skeptical, I figured maybe it was still the medication from surgery that gave me the relief, but I shortly realized that I had honestly been fixed. It has been nine months since my surgery and I am happy to say that I am no longer in that agonizing pain that I knew as my life. I will forever be grateful to Dr. White and Western Orthopaedics as a whole, I thank God for them. I sincerely hope that the person reading this, who is where I was, will take this seriously, because frankly you can have a life again and what do you have to lose. There is nothing better to spend money, time and energy on than saving your own life. read more
