I did several yoga stretches that typically work the kinks out of my back when this happens, but this time was different and I would soon find out within the next 12 hours after this. I wake up from my sleep immediately falling out of bed when I thought I told my body I wanted to stand. It took me about 30 min to crawl and make my way to the bathroom and then I laid on the floor for another hour or so. Called up my brother & sister and they both recommended Anthony at Vitruvian. Made the appointment and fortunately Anthony was available and my sister was able to take me to that first appointment. To summarize my first visit, "NO PAIN, NO GAIN." He dug in to my issues and performed some painfully amazing work on my back and other related muscles. Anthony made an excellent assessment coupled with detailed descriptions of what the affected muscle groups were and how my movements would be impacted if left untreated. He gave me an easy to follow regimen of stretches & excercises to do in between my appointments, was incredibly easy to reach (this includes email), and left no questions unanswered. I never felt left in the dark about what his goal was for my back and what my responsibilities were as the patient undergoing PT. Only after 2 appointments with Anthony, my back feels 90% back to where it was before it went out. Why only 90%? Because he helped me realize my posture and how I lift heavy items have always been bad and he's now correcting these decades-long habits in order to save my back and help me live according to my lifestyle, not how I was when I actively played highschool and college football. I've been a true believer since my first appointment and will continue to commit to building my better back with Anthony at The Vitruvian Physio!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I self-referred after noticing one leg larger and suggestions I may have Lymphedema. I had 8 weeks of therapy, 3 days a week. I had a wonderful therapist most days, but there were times when I had someone who was lazy and not at all professional didn't do the massage as it was explained. I complained and she was removed from my care. The initial doctor I saw seemed good, then subsequent visits were with a different doctor who said I needed my thighs wrapped too without coming close to look and never touched me. She was sitting on the stool 4-6 feet away. The other staff in the room felt my legs and said I didn't need that - there was no lymphedema in my thighs. There were numerous helpers who were very good (the ones who unwrapped/wrapped and put you on the pumps), as was the usual woman at the front desk. Except for the exceptional therapist, I was disappointed about so many things. After they discharged me on a Wednesday, I got a call late on that Friday afternoon that my compression stockings had finally arrived and that I needed to make an appointment. I asked if I could call Saturday morning to make that appointment for same day. I was told yes. I called Saturday morning and was told I needed to come during the week. I have left a voicemail requesting a call back. I sent two emails expressing the situation and have never heard back. I still don't have the compression stockings they prescribed, fortunately I have some I've been wearing. It's been exactly a month since I was discharged. Three requests for a call to schedule the pickup appointment have been ignored. I will probably just pick up the stockings on my 6 week follow up appointment in 2 weeks. Would I use this company again if needed - NO! I feel like management needs to pay attention. I told them in real time about the bad therapist, the questionable doctor and when there was any issue. I don't really think management cares (a couple of people do). At least my Lymphedema is under control. If you get a good therapist, the treatment works (at least for me). It started feeling like a treatment mill. Their aftercare follow up is BAD. I put that on Management.

I arrived 10 minutes early, as recommended, only to find the doors locked and the lights off. I attempted to contact the office and left a message, but no one was available. Wanting to give your office the benefit of the doubt, I waited nearby, spending additional time, gas, and energy. Your office did not open until 9:20 a.m., nearly 50 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. When I finally entered, the front desk associate was on a phone call, so I waited again. Once she assisted me, I was asked for my copay. I respectfully explained that I did not feel it was appropriate to pay a copay after waiting almost an hour due to the office opening late. The associate checked with her supervisor and returned to inform me that the copay would still be required and that they were unaware of my appointment--despite the fact that I received two appointment confirmation notifications. This situation was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. It demonstrated a lack of organization, communication, and respect for patients' time. As a result, I declined the appointment and chose to take my business elsewhere. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve scheduling accuracy and office operations so future patients do not experience the same inconvenience.

I had been to physical therapy more than once, had an MRI and then a steroid shot in another city. When I moved to Houston and the pain was worsening and the mobility was decreasing, keeping me up at night and throbbing in the day, I made an appointment with Dr. Brian Banh. He spent time assessing and then treating the shoulder at each of our sessions with plenty of time and attention. He listened to me as I reviewed each week's improvements and added to the treatments each time creating more healing, movement, and strength. Now I'm off to another city and he has given me exercises to condition my upper body so I can continue the process of improvement. Amy, at the front desk, and Dr. Banh are professional and friendly. They run an efficient office but most importantly, they delivered results. My old injury is now not limiting my mobility thanks to HYPE Sports Medicine and I am so thankful.

Finally, after a year and a half of dealing with the pain and it and only getting worse, I decided I had to do something. Dr. Ho would tell you I have a high tolerance for pain, but this was unbearable and I would wake up every night in tears it was so bad. I went to Texas Orthopedic Hospital to a shoulder specialist who wanted to shoot me up with cortisone, I'd had X-rays, an MRI, and went to a very well-known neurosurgeon to try and find out what the problem was. I didn't want to temporarily fix it, I wanted to know what was wrong. He said he didn't know why I didn't just get the cortisone shots and walked out of the room. If I wouldn't get sued, I would tell you his name. I couldn't believe it. I'd driven almost two hours to go see him because he came so highly recommended. Needless to say, I didn't go back and was furious! A friend recommended I go to a chiropractor. Her chiropractor in Wyoming recommended two in Houston whom I researched, but saw Dr. Casey Ho had, at that time, 20 five star reviews and was also an acupuncturist. HE'S who I wanted to see. He got me in the next day. Three needles later, ART, and an adjustment, and I walked out pain free...PAIN FREE!!! I'm grateful DAILY that I found him. I've been going to him for eight years now because I tend to be somewhat clumsy, and have taken some pretty bad falls, mainly because of my dogs, but they were completely my fault. Unfortunately, both shoulders have torn tendons. Each time after my appointment, I've walked out with no pain and have full range of motion in both arms . Thank you so much, Dr. Ho. You're my hero.
