After looking for a groomer for two years in the Menomonie area, we finally found Canine Comfort…read moreInn based on a recommendation. My only regret was that we did not try them two years ago! They will for sure be our groomer from now on. They have a wonderful area out front with a fire hydrant designated specifically for the dogs to potty on before going inside. I loved this feature! I was also informed that they sanitize that area, which is awesome! It looked very clean and smelled fresh. The woman who helped us (I'm assuming is the owner) was SO kind and complimentary of my dogs. She clearly knew so much about how to cut different breeds and discussed their cuts with utmost expertise. I could tell she really liked dogs and my dogs were instantly comfortable there. I also liked that the grooming tables are behind the checkin desk. They do a wonderful job and you are able to see them grooming when you check in and out! The dogs looked great when they were finished and I felt it was very reasonably priced for the quality of care and service. Highly, highly recommend!

I find this hard to believe since he has not done this at any of three different places we have used before moving here. If he had been kept in an indoor/outdoor kennel as advertised, I'm certain he would not have put up a fuss. I was then told that my dog would have to wear a bark collar before he would be "allowed" back. I have news for this place: You couldn't PAY me enough to subject my pet to this type of abuse again. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!

My family has used Dr. Brakken since the clinic opened, multiple dogs, cats & ferrets have lived…read moreentire lives under her care. Though the clinic has grown with time, adding another full-time vet, the service is always personal and complete. Everything is explained fully, options are explored to make an informed decision as to the course of treatment which is best for your pet and your family. The fees are reasonable and the service excellent. You are as involved in your pet's treatment as you wish to be (some people don't like to see blood draws or even claw trimmings--you don't have to if you don't want to.) I'm on my second diabetic cat, and after 6 months we are seeing if he can be taken off of insulin. When my eldest male cat (15) was brought in by a neighbor, deathly ill, I was contacted as soon as they scanned his chip because they knew how important he was too me, and that I would be likely to want to save him if possible. When it turned out that he could not be saved, he and I made the decision to euthanise immediately to avoid prolonging his suffering. The vets and staff were very supportive in helping me make and implement this painful but necessary decision. He was peacefully and painlessly assisted while I held him on my lap and said goody. When my parent's elderly beagle became ill, and we were unable to find a cause for several months, when it became obvious that she was failing her illness was pared down to 2 possibilities, both of which were incurable, I monitored her quality of life for several weeks until it was obvious that she was no longer a happy beagle (a beagle dragging it's tail between it's legs i a very unhappy beagle!) When I took her in to be euthanized, Dr. Brakeen and staff were very sensitive to my feelings and my dog was quietly and peacefully assisted in a quick and painless death. Dr. Brakken always listens to whatever research I've found regarding aliments of y animals, and does a good job of researching anything she's not already familiar. In 57 years of owning pets, there is only one vet I have had who might surpass Dr.Brakken--but only because she was willing to make a 30 mile trip out to vaccinate my cats...and she left practice to teach at the UW-Madison Veterinary Hospital. I wholeheartedly recommend Brakken to anyone who cares about their animals as part of their family--they will receive treatment with every bit as much consideration (maybe more) than your family doctor.

One operated on my dog cost me $800 I went to the veterinarian school in Minneapolis and they said they should have never touched that dog because it made it actually worse.
