My entire family has gotten their taxes done here FOREVER, and while I'm not sure why or how this came about, I AM sure I'm terrible at math and adult things, so I follow suit. I've been getting my taxes done here for as long as I've been filing taxes and I love them - they're personable, hardworking, they never steer me wrong, they ask a zillion great questions, and I'm always pleased with the outcome (I mean c'mon, they're not miracle workers, they can't magically get me a bigger refund). Since I've never gone anywhere else to get my taxes done, I don't know how "reasonable" their prices are, but given that my hubs has his his done online through H&R Block and there's no real person to check his work or tell him he's being an idiot and he pays only slightly less than I do, I think it's a pretty good deal. Though lots of you whipper snappers probably have gone the route of turbo tax and other online tax preparers, I'm just not 100% comfortable with that. Until I get there, I'll continue to come here - where I'm confident they'll do an awesome job, and they remember my face year after year.

I have no idea why they ask you to confirm your phone number every time you talk to someone as when they INEVITABLY disconnect your call after being on hold for 15 minutes, they don't call back! I did however have one CSR who stayed on the call until I was finished filling out a required form after the online version failed multiple times. UPDATE: I did receive a phone call back the 3rd time I spoke to someone when I was disconnected - SHOCKED! They said I chose the incorrect account type on their form even though I could not deselect it while filling it out with their agent. Either way, we'll see if they actually transfer the money this time.

Do NOT hand over your hard-earned money to this company - you'll DEEPLY regret it…read more My father, who's a SENIOR CITIZEN, called to create an online account to review his recent account activity. He also needed to file a form with Inspira before he could file his taxes. Simple right? WRONG. You can only create an account if you have your CARD number. He doesn't have this info, so he called for assistance creating an online account. He provided his full name, address, the last 4 digits of his SSN, DOB, his employer's name, and the date and amount of the last contribution, but that wasn't good enough! They need a CARD number even though he provided PLENTY of other info to verify his identity. Mind you, it's HIS money, he doesn't have his card, and he needs to file his taxes by the tax deadline. The customer service rep said it would take 15 business days for a new card to arrive, denied him escalation to a supervisor, and asked "additional verification" questions that even the most HIPAA and FTI-compliant entities don't ask. What more do you need? Finger prints? A blood sample? The customer rep also told him he didn't need to see his account activity because he didn't need it to file his taxes. She clearly didn't know his individual tax situation, but she was very much wrong. Inspira Financial: You all should be ashamed of yourselves for scamming hardworking people of their hard-earned money, and creating phony, arbitrary, and burdensome verification processes that prevent people from accessing their own money and info. My father has filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. We'll also be filing a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General.
