FINAL UPDATE: Billie Jean L. was incredible! I highly applaud her customer service and ownership of the issues. She did reach out and ensured she understood every issue I was facing while apologizing for my experience. She was very genuine and made sure that throughout the rest of the process I was informed and knew what to expect, both from a communication and process standpoint. This is what customer service should look like. Had I experienced service like this from the start, I would have stayed with Inspira. But at least for now, I finally received my check and the fees were removed due to the mountain of problems I faced. I hope her management understands how great she is in turning around such an awful situation. I have raised the review to 3 stars solely based on Billie Jean's performance! I have spent weeks jumping through hoops trying to get an account an old employer gave to Inspira rolled over to John Hancock. It is a joke! I am CONVINCED this is a scam designed to hold your money as long as possible and charge you every fee possible while they stonewall you from your money. I have no idea why they ask you to confirm your phone number every time you talk to someone as when they INEVITABLY disconnect your call after being on hold for 15 minutes, they don't call back! I did however have one CSR who stayed on the call until I was finished filling out a required form after the online version failed multiple times. UPDATE: I did receive a phone call back the 3rd time I spoke to someone when I was disconnected - SHOCKED! They said I chose the incorrect account type on their form even though I could not deselect it while filling it out with their agent. Do NOT hand over your hard-earned money to this company - you'll DEEPLY regret it. My father, who's a SENIOR CITIZEN, called to create an online account to review his recent account activity. He also needed to file a form with Inspira before he could file his taxes. Simple right? WRONG. You can only create an account if you have your CARD number. He doesn't have this info, so he called for assistance creating an online account. He provided his full name, address, the last 4 digits of his SSN, DOB, his employer's name, and the date and amount of the last contribution, but that wasn't good enough! They need a CARD number even though he provided PLENTY of other info to verify his identity. Mind you, it's HIS money, he doesn't have his card, and he needs to file his taxes by the tax deadline. The customer service rep said it would take 15 business days for a new card to arrive, denied him escalation to a supervisor, and asked "additional verification" questions that even the most HIPAA and FTI-compliant entities don't ask. What more do you need? Finger prints? A blood sample? The customer rep also told him he didn't need to see his account activity because he didn't need it to file his taxes. She clearly didn't know his individual tax situation, but she was very much wrong. Inspira Financial: You all should be ashamed of yourselves for scamming hardworking people of their hard-earned money, and creating phony, arbitrary, and burdensome verification processes that prevent people from accessing their own money and info. Inspira Financial acquired my previous custodian Quest Trust Company. The fees stayed the same but the service took a nose dive. At QTC I had an account manager with an email address and a telephone extension. Inspira uses a call center and a general email sdira@inspirafinancial.com - very low accountability. Have an important closing or urgent request? Good luck getting someone to own it. Every time you call it's Groundhog Day with someone new. With all the agentic AI these guys can't even invest in a realistic voice response system for your initial call instead, it sounds like a 1983 computerized voice from the movie War Games. This is the sad part of capitalism. Quest was successful company built on customer service. Inspira buys their client base then guts the organization to reduce OPEX and the customers pay the price. My company uses I.F. for HSA and commuter benefits. For my HSA, they denied legitimate claims from two different dentist offices which I made in-person each time at the dentists' offices. They told me 2 months after I made the purchases (In February the next year) that my card would be cancelled. Since I went to the dentist in December, and I had until March 31 to scramble to get documentation. Each time I called, the Customer Service couldn't tell me why they were denied, just that they were. I.F. recently redid their commuter benefits site. You can NO LONGER choose at the time of making a monthly deduction if you want it to be ongoing or just a one time deduction. You have to go in the next month and turn off/set to zero the deduction if you don't want it monthly. That's one service they took away. They also are not transferring the previous commuter balance until August. They are holding our money hostage, we cannot use it, until August, leaving people stranded for the month of July. read more

Everything from logging in to using their docusign vehicles is needlessly complex and ridiculous with some kind of phenomenally feeble system in use. I have an IRA with Schwab and know how a withdrawal process should work--a few buttons on a handful of organized menus and I'm done. By contrast, with INSPIRA, it is always hammer and chisel, unexpected errors and problems that their personnel will then deeply "apologize" for...which may take hours and numerous emails/phone calls to resolve. I suspect their business model depends on you giving up. This delays you getting to your money or induces you to accept that it is stranded. BTW, the financial company that went by MILLENIUM rebranded to INSPIRA to run away from the reputation achieved by their bad reviews, nightmarish system and never-ending problems. As you can see from other reviews here, the quality did not improve much at the renaming. Inspira Financial, formerly Millennium Trust Company and PayFlex, owes me a refund for the claims that I submitted in March of 2025. I patiently awaited the remittance of these funds. I called repeatedly and sat on hold excessively each time. This most recent time I believe the CSR purposely placed the called in the hold status in an attempt to dismiss me when I asked them to review the notes from all of the previous CSRs that I'd spoken to about this issues since January 2026. 1 HR 44 min on hold and told me the account closed so no refunds could be sent to me, even though the medical group remitted a refund to them over a year after the account closed which they accepted and received with no problems. All of this happened while they reported to the IRS that I owed them money thus my tax liability was increased, yet they in fact stole money from me using their arbitrary unethical deceitful corporate policies. This has been, without exaggeration, the worst customer service experience we have ever dealt with. My wife has called 23 times over a two-month period, only to be repeatedly transferred from one representative to another. Each call ends the same way: no resolution, no follow-up, no accountability. We are constantly told someone else needs to handle the issue, yet nothing is ever actually handled. There is no ownership, no clear communication, and no progress. It feels like an endless loop designed to wear customers down until they give up. Two months is more than enough time to resolve a basic issue. Instead, we have been sent in circles with zero results. This level of inefficiency and disregard for customers is unacceptable. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company. Inspira Financial totally sucks. - I submitted my dental bill and it was rejected; they needed a statement from the health insurance company. - I submitted the statement from the health insurance company and they said they needed an explanation of benefits from both insurance carriers showing patient responsibility to the service. Well... I don't / didn't have two insurance carriers and they should be able to work out my responsibility from what I provided. I contributed $200 to my FSA account and that's money it looks like I will never see again. Thankfully that was 2025 and I didn't sign up in 2026 because my company offered an HSA instead of FSA, with a completely different company. My advise to anyone thinking of signing up to their company's FSA if it's administered by Inspira... don't!!! If I could give 0 stars, I would. Our company transitioned to Inspira from TRIAD this year and this was a huge mistake!! Utilization of my card for legitimate medically necessary expenses results in unverified purchase flags and threats to suspend access to benefits that I pay for. The review appeal process with customer service is arduous and frustrating because the reps read scripted responses rather than resolve the issue. This is the worse FSA Administrator and I was on the phone for almost 2 hours, and I am shocked that the rep asked for my MD contact to call to verify. I was placed on hold and I told her that she didn't ask for my consent to discuss my PHI. I was told that I needed a letter of medical necessity amongst other contradictory requests, all in an effort to avoid paying the claim. I will be escalating my concerns to our HR leadership. Poor customer service and lack of follow-through. We are current customers and have been trying to complete an IRA rollover from Inspira to a better institution (J.P. Morgan), and the process has been extremely frustrating. It has now been three weeks with no resolution. We have had two separate conference calls with Inspira, and each time they request different or additional information, even though prior documentation was already provided. There is no consistency, no clear ownership of the request, and no proactive communication. Instead of guiding the process efficiently, we are repeatedly starting over. Calls and follow-ups do not result in progress, and current customers do not seem to be a priority. At this point, the delays and disorganization have made what should be a straightforward rollover unnecessarily stressful. I would not recommend Inspira based on this experience. read more

I'm not surprised by the low rating Inspira Financial is receiving. This company has repeatedly suspended my FSA debit card without warning, demanding more and more information until it became impossible to comply. Their defense? Supposed IRS instructions to over-verify every transaction, even a $50 payment. I still have $1,500 pending, my FSA card is suspended, the time for eligible expenses has stopped, and the window to submit old expenses has been cut in half. Customer service is nonexistent; when you finally reach someone, they're trained to be rude and unhelpful. The website is overly complicated and doesn't update for weeks, making it impossible to understand your actual account status. Payments to my bank account are made in tiny increments, and they prioritize deducting from new debit card expenses (without checking eligibility) rather than making deposits. They claim "their system doesn't allow" partial payments, suggesting I send a paper check or visit their offices. Is this 1900? Inspira Financial is correctly rated as the worst financial service possible, and I hope they are de-integrated soon. I will never use them again and strongly recommend that Coca-Cola and any other company stop using their services immediately. 1 star. read more

My 401K rolled over to Inspira. My first statement includes a $35 annual fee and a $10 annual statement fee. Their hours are limited and when I finally got through to their voice response system, I was informed that roll overs are only done through the online portal. The portal verification system is slow and needs ALL of my personal information including a photo ID. I'm not thrilled about sharing so much of my personal data with a company I do not want to do business with. After finally setting up a log in, they say it takes several business days to verify my identity. Inspira Financial sucks eggs. read more

Not sure why Inspira's customer service is getting a bad rap. Granted their online customer user interface is terrible and that truly warrants 1 star. However, their customer service has been top notch! When I call, someone answers the phone. Moreover, their response time has improved significantly. I am no longer on hold for 30+ minutes. I'm barely on hold for 1 minute. I recently called to follow up on an asset that I needed transferred to another custodian. Roysha answered the phone and was incredibly responsive to my needs, friendly, and personable. She needed to confer with another department and asked me to call back the next day as I had called at the end of day. When I followed up, she had all of the information available for me, escalated my request to critical, and followed through with her colleagues to make sure my needs were fully addressed. I really like that I am able to communicate with a real person and not an AI VA. read more

Every time I use my benefit card, I get an email requesting all the claim info all over again. This time the request came over 3 months later. It always requests exactly everything on the paperwork they already have, so I always take the time to mark up the paperwork in red, pointing out to them all the info that was already submitted, and which they already have, but are unable to or incapable of reading. People used to say that insurance companies automatically deny every fifth claim, just to see if anybody bothers going through the whole process again or just drops it; then they don't have to pay it. This absolutely awful company has been robbing me of my IRA money and I feel helpless. I had just about 800 USD left in John Hancock IRA some years back from a prev employer which got auto rolled over to Inspira. How I wish I had withdrawn my money from JH back then because I forgot about it for few years and Inspira presumably took over and claim having sent a welcome kit few years back to some address given by my old employer (I have no idea where it went, I dont even live in the US anymore). Inspira then proceeded to eat into my account for yearly fees and other fees and now the money has dwindled close to some 500+ USD. In contrast John Hancock always sent emails and never deducted money stealthily. Early March I started to wrangle with their most difficult customer service to get access to the account and after a month or so of sending over documents over and over again I got access to my account only to find half the money was gone already. I started a withdrawal request and now they are repeating the same process (asked for wet signature, which I sent after scanning which they are rejecting again and asking ID again for the hundredth time), making it so frustrating that I give up and they can have the remainder of my IRA money! There is no call back number and every time you call the general number you reach a new customer service person who is seeing your case for the first time. It is now evident they want me to give up so that my distribution request will expire and they can keep the money. They have blocked my access to my account saying I started a distribution request and then they ask me to upload documents to the same portal which is blocked. read more

You can't activate your card on a holiday or weekend. It's automated but they turn it off on holidays. Why? They can't read dates on receipts for some reason. You have to explain to a moron how to convert April 4 to 4/4. Half the agents have big DMV energy; clearly hate their job and helping people pay for medical bills. Found out I had an account from a previous employer rollover to Inspira. At first I just wanted access to my account but then nothing works works them. Their links don't work. Their website continuously glitches. Customer service is little to no help. Submitted for distribution and they required a name verification and nothing was done for 5 whole days. Processing hadn't even started until I called to check because they send no emails or notifications on what's going on with your account. Do not recommend. Their business a subpar and untrustworthy. Inspira, by contrast, is impossible to reach with problems, such as sending me a non-working link to update the fair market value of our property.
