There were lots of hills and lots of different views of the other holes and surrounding meadows. If you you like to walk (and you're not in shape like a WSU cougar) this might not be the course for you. The greens and tees are often 100+ yards apart and require walking up steep hills.

We enjoyed breakfast here both mornings, which was much better than anything on the go, and the happy hour bar was nice to unwind in. Check in was fine, although they forgot to acknowledge my Bonvoy rewards. Once I asked if they had bottled water, they remembered my reward snacks. The beds are hard and the pillows are soft, so that was a bummer. They provide soap and shampoo in the shower but no extra amenities/vanity kits. Location is key, right on campus makes it easy to get around for WSU events. Parking is convenient and free.

The moisture and steam does not get sucked out of the bathrooms adequately by the ventilation. Consequently there is a great deal of moisture and mold in the walls and, in this case, on the ceiling. Those who have health reactions to such conditions should avoid this property.

We always pick what to purchase when we arrive but plenty of people seem to pre-order on the website. My favorite time is when they have a good variety of (heirloom) tomatoes available. I notice more cars in their lot during pumpkin season so it seems like their pumpkin patch is quite popular. Nice bonus: They accept (and even prefer??) card payments. The UI farm stand was cash only the couple times we visited so I was happy to see that the WSU stand accepts cards.

The bowling nights were supposed to be social events but it was at times very difficult to hear the people we were trying to chat with (and I'm pretty sure my watch gave me at least one "it's too loud and that's bad for your ears" warning). I'd enjoy that volume way more if we were there to dance. I'm more comfortable in the restaurant so it's on our list of options when planning to go out for breakfast or dinner. They usually have some good beer options (menu available on untappd) and I've enjoyed their cocktails and mocktails. They do a good job with Bloody Mary garnishes. The downsides: - Take-out sometimes takes a super long time (even if you order online well in advance). - They recently took steak off their menu. We were bummed because it's one of the easiest things to get for my husband (food allergies) and on our most recent visit the whole reason we came was because a friend wanted steak (and eggs). - When you order fish & chips they normally ask which side you'd like and I usually pick coleslaw. This means I'm expecting fish & chips with coleslaw. What they deliver instead is fish & coleslaw. Sometimes I'm glad for the lighter meal but sometimes I really am craving some fries so it's annoying. I think I tried to talk to a waitress about it once but the conversation didn't go anywhere. I don't know if I'll order it a third time but I might be tempted to just because I'm curious to see what will arrive next time I ask for "fish & chips with coleslaw." We haven't explored their arcade yet. They used to also have a casino/card room but it closed in about 2025.
