This Store's ambience is the most lively inviting store in Vancouver. I drive for DoorDash and do a lot of deliveries around town and this store above all the other stores has the best service and group of people. It's so inviting and brings a smile to my face. This store is such a joy to come into and deliver for I really appreciate the ladies in here. I'm extremely disappointed with how Seize the Bagel handled a simple, medically important request on July 31, 2025. My daughter called the Hazel Dell location at 7:50 AM while caring for her 6-year-old niece who has Type 1 diabetes. She just needed nutritional information to safely calculate insulin. The staff said they would call her back. To avoid delays, she called the Heights location at 7:56 AM -- and was met with rudeness. The employee: Refused to provide the nutrition info Refused to give her name or the manager's Threatened to block her number if she called again Yes, my daughter got upset -- but only because she was advocating for a child's health. The lack of compassion and professionalism was appalling. Nutrition info for medically fragile children should never be treated like an inconvenience. I'm asking Seize the Bagel to: Train staff to respond better to health-related inquiries Make nutrition info accessible Ensure no one gets blocked for protecting a child's safety We love local businesses -- but this experience was unacceptable. read more

They have many options and it appears they can and do sell out of certain flavors. The bagels are large, chewy, and I think they are worth the price. I wish mine was toasted a little more. I had a garlic bagel with tomato herb cream cheese and my daughter had a jalapeño bagel with plain cream cheese, she said it was good. She said the cream cheese consistency didn't work for her, it was fine for me. The lady that serviced us was very friendly and patient. I even was short on change and she offered to cover the almost $1. The setup is a typical small cafe/ run in and out but you could linger it was cozy. Our favorite pastries were the bing bong and the blueberry Oreo cookie. They have a decent amount of indoor seating with some outdoor seating too. Everything looked clean. Been wanting to stop in at one of these locations to try the salmon lox bagel sandwich. There are a few locations in Vancouver. We tried the Hazel Dell one a couple weekends ago around lunch time and the line was out the front door, so we skipped it. They said they were short staffed. This location is much bigger so we decided to try it. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in the door. The staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous. We ended up ordering an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese and bacon ($6), a salmon lox sandwich ($9.75), a bagel dog ($5.50) and an epic cookie ($2.75). Service was quick. The bagel with cream cheese and bacon was good, no complaints. The salmon lox sandwich had tons of lox on it...too much, making the ratio of cream cheese, tomato, onion and capers off. Definitely wouldn't order it again. The bagel dog was microwaved...not the best tasting. The cookie wasn't the best either. Had an odd flavor to it...can't put my finger in it... Everything was just ok. Nothing wowed us. Most likely won't return. read more

I ordered delivery a few days ago as an alternative to my Panera Bread craving and oh. My. God. Can never go back. The texture on my bagels felt soulful- the air pockets were exactly right for the kind of dough, someone clearly knew what they were doing. I tried the honey pistachio latte, and it was delicious as well. I don't like bitter coffee, and this didn't disappoint. It was lightly sweet with a lot of flavor- not overly sweet. I cannot rate it 5 stars because unfortunately there was a mix-up with my coffee (it arrived hot when I ordered iced) but that didn't impact the quality of the product I *did* receive, if that makes sense. The raspberry scone's glaze was a bit too thick as well, but those are my only real complaints. The best part was the coffee bun. Light, airy, and not too sweet. It was generously filled with coffee cream that was distributed evenly, which can be difficult with such a large, round pastry. I will say, the non-bagel pastries were unexpectedly large, which was a pleasant surprise. The size + quality, especially of that coffee bun, made it definitely worth the money. All in all, nice work team, definitely will be seeing yall again soon :) read more

I called one minute before they closed to place a catering order for the next morning (not on purpose), and they answered to my surprise ! not only did they answer , but they were so kind in helping me place that order . when I came the next morning , I was a few minutes early and they already had my order done ! the person checking me out was so sweet and helpful ! I came to this Bagel shop and employees all seem like they hate their jobs. Management is disorganized and must not treat their employees well. The atmosphere here is negative and wouldn't reccomended this place to anyone who's trying to have a great morning start with friends or family or even by yourself. Ordered off a delivery service. I got the pulled pork salad with avocado added. I also got the Mac and cheese with bacon added. For nearly $3, you get a slice a bacon added to your mac. The Mac is also not very good at all. The salad had very little besides shredded lettuce in it. There was cilantro in it, which I love but it was all wilted and yellow. I hate to give low reviews, but my first experience here is also going to be my last. My partner and I went in to have a bagel and coffee this morning. My partner orders, followed by me. As another reviewer indicated, they don't really work on a first come first served order when it comes to the food prep. People came in after me that ordered in store, got their food and left. My partners food was ready and he took his time and ate, and nothing. Finally I go up to i quite about my order after 25 minutes, and they hadn't started it at all. I go back to my seat and an employee hurries to my table and quickly says "sorry about that" and tosses a premade gift card on the table (that had been loaded the afternoon before?) And disappears. Not two minutes later, they hand me my food in a To-go bag (it was for here). I open the bag at my table. The Cajun dog had been microwaved. The dough was impossibly chewy with the sausage cool in the middle. The jalapeno cheddar bagel was room temp (not toasted, or if it was, they somehow toasted it and chilled it in less than 90 seconds. The whole experience was disappointing. I recognize they gave me a gift card as an "I'm sorry" (that's why I'm not giving a one) but that was for the wait and the fact that they basically tossed it on my table to me, already had it printed, and then gave me the quality of food they did just affirms a "we don't care" attitude. read more

There are some days when you're just feeling basic and you need something to get the job done. I don't particularly lovelove this place, but when I'm in a crunch, this is my go-to spot. I enjoy my morning coffee and I will often order my usual lox sandwich with everything bagel. Just a simple drip coffee and basic lox sandwich. Nothing quite beats simplicity eh? I'm a huge fan of this location in particular because the staff are super nice and they make my sandwiches neat and stuffed. I guess I should also mention that this is like 2 mins away from work so convenient is a plus! I ought to really try their other things but old habits die hard. First, let me preface this with I actually love this restaurant. I get my nails done next-door, and I always stop here 30 minutes before my appointment once a month so I can have my bagel sandwich. Today, I unfortunately did not get my sandwich. After waiting in line for 20 minutes, I had to leave in order to make my appointment. They have one worker taking orders, and two people making the sandwiches. there were four people in front of me, but the woman who was placing her order had an enormous order. She ordered eight sandwiches, all kinds of coffee drinks, then she was adding extras: day old bagels, bagel dogs, cream cheeses, etc., she kept changing her mind, all the while people kept coming in where the line was literally out the door. I don't get why the other workers couldn't help take orders to get the line moving. If all the public only knew that your bagels are not first day fresh like they say it is. For years......All employees have had to lie to customers and tell them that its fresh but really they are already a day old for most of the seize the bagel locations, even if that location has ovens. And your second chance bagels are on its 3rd day. But those prices keep going up and your not even getting fresh product like they claim!!!!
