If you have to have a mastectomy and are looking for a great plastic surgeon, then make an…read moreappointment with Dr Patrick Wilson. You can be assured that your reconstruction will be not only successful, but you'll end up happy with the way you look when it's all done. We clicked with him from the day we met, and his friendly and positive attitude helped us get through this trying time. Ask yourself, when was the last time you had a doctor who not only had a sense of humor but actually talked to you like a human being? He was very good at explaining all the procedures required for the reconstruction and always made sure we knew what was being done. He never tried to convince us that he knew what was best and always let us decide what direction to take. We couldn't be more pleased with Dr Wilson and highly recommend him to anyone who's looking for a plastic surgeon.

UPDATE: Response to owner: I want to clarify my experience after the office response. I scheduled…read morethis consultation in advance and specifically asked staff when I should arrange my Uber home. I was given a timeframe and relied on that guidance. After arriving on time and completing intake and photos, I was then told there would be an additional 30-45 minute delay before seeing the doctor--contradicting what I had been told earlier. I was also informed my Uber would continue charging while waiting, which created a stressful and impractical situation. While the office states I left voluntarily and that consults take about an hour, my decision was based on the inconsistent and changing timing communicated by staff during the visit. The core issue here is not the length of a consultation, but the lack of clear, coordinated communication. I did receive a refund of my deposit, but patients should be given accurate expectations upfront, especially when arranging transportation. I scheduled a consultation with this office before I even moved to Alabama and paid the required $100 deposit. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and ended up being a complete waste of my time. The front desk staff were pleasant, and the initial part of the appointment went smoothly. I had photos taken and met with another staff member who was very kind and professional. However, after that, things quickly went downhill. Before arriving, I specifically asked when I should schedule my Uber home and was given a timeframe by the office. I planned accordingly. After waiting, I was then informed that it would be an additional 30-45 minutes before I could even see the doctor. Several staff members responded with comments such as, "I don't know who told you that," and made it clear that the wait time I had been given was incorrect. Rather than taking ownership of the miscommunication, I felt like I was being brushed off. What was most frustrating is that I never even got to see the physician despite arriving on time, completing all of the preliminary steps, and paying a deposit for the consultation. The lack of organization, poor communication, and unprofessional handling of the situation left a very negative impression. I understand that delays can happen in a medical office, but clear communication and accountability matter. Unfortunately, this experience did not reflect the level of professionalism I would expect from a surgical practice.

Once I arrived…read moreI was greeted and made to feel at ease and did not wait long to be taken to an examination room. Dr. McLain went over a couple of options and explained the benefits and risks of each. I was given the opportunity to review the cost of the procedure and decide without pressure how I would like to proceed. I was out of his office within 30 minutes of arriving. Although the time was short, I was completely satisfied; so much that I made my appointment for my procedure that day. My next appointment was for my procedure. Again, I was greeted warmly by his staff who remembered me. As I was anxious, I was grateful that again that I waited a very short time to be taken for my procedure. The night of my procedure, I received a call from Dr. McLain from his personal cell for follow up. That truly impressed me and showed me his level of commitment to those in his care. I cannot stress enough how warm and welcoming Dr. McLain and his staff presented themselves to me. Having any surgical procedure is very stressful. However, my stress level was relatively low due to the atmosphere they have created. I highly recommend Dr. McLain and have since move all my continuing business to his facility. Just do it, you will not be disappointed.

I was told by a woman on his staff that the DO NOT ACCEPT ANY Medicare patients. I was also told that he DOES NOT PERFORM root canals. Only extraction. An oral surgeon with many accolades, decades of experience and very impressive academic credentials who doesn't do root canals. Then I read his profile further and learned he also specializes in cosmetic breast augmentation surgery. More expensive for sure. Enough said. Very disappointed because I've enlisted his services before and was very impressed. That's the reason I called them first.

I was extremely nervous, and they helped me feel confident I had made the right decision. I was admitted for 24 hours, and had three sets of nurses and patient helpers during that time. Robbie & Kayleigh situated me in my room and made sure all my immediate needs were handled. Fatina and Beitney helped me adjust through my night there and were quick to respond when I pushed the button for help. Tracy & Angel helped me understand what was expected once I was discharged and helped me through the process. Everyone was respectful and made me feel understood and like my needs were important. I specifically chose Dr. Morgan Martin of Seidel Plastic Surgeons Building for my procedure based on the amazing reviews and research I had done. When I found out Cullman Regional Medical Center was her preferred choice, I immediately researched their reviews and was pleasantly suprised, and gladly persued this option.
