I had damaged my spoiler, grill and AC condenser on my 2014 Challenger and wanted to replace it…read more Got the estimate, I paid my deductible up front, and parts had to be ordered and a insurance claim made. After waiting about two weeks for a phone call that never came, I had to call to get an update. The parts had arrived and could I come in the next day to have to work done. I arrived on time and waited for the work to be completed. Once the work was completed the staff asked me if I had the insurance check, of course I did not have it, sounded as if the online transfer had been sent to the wrong place. At this point they wanted me to pay with a check or debit card for the remainder of the bill, then said they would not release the car until I paid the balance. If there was an issue with insurance payment, seems like it would have been professional to notify me before the work started, not after the work was completed, and wanting me to pay and with no ride home. Part of the work was a new AC condenser was installed. Now the air conditioner does not work. It would appear that no one really knows whats going on there, and after my experience, I would not let Shanafelt work on a plastic PlaySkool wagon, let alone a real automobile.

After our initial conversation with managers at Beck, we dropped off our vehicle for a diagnostic…read moreon March 28th, 2024. 2 weeks went by before they finally let us know that our vehicle was being inspected. They told us that our vehicle wouldn't start and it needed a new battery for $180. They said it was a 4 year premium battery, so we agreed. They then called us back the next day and said it also needed a new starter. We asked if they were sure about that, and if they'd completed the diagnostic. We were told "No, we have to get it started in order to do the diagnostic". So we agreed to a $700 charge for replacing the starter. Another 2 weeks went by, despite us calling several times to see what the hold up was. After an entire month of our vehicle sitting at the dealership, we spoke with the mechanic James. When we got on the phone with James, we noticed his tone was aggressive and elevated. James told us that he had not completed the diagnostic, and that he didn't plan to. We were confused by his words... and when we explained that the only reason we dropped off our vehicle was for a full diagnostic... James told us that he "isn't going to put another minute into our car." We asked to speak to the manager, and when Jim put us on hold we could hear him speaking to the manager. Although we couldn't make out what he was saying, we could hear that he was speaking in an elevated tone. When the manager (Tim Dudley) got on the phone, he told us that we "just need to get a new car." He told us that our vehicle was "old" and "unsafe" and that they were not going to put any more work into it. When we asked what was wrong with it, he simply repeated that "it's just old and you need to get a new car". So, we decided to just pick up our vehicle and move on. On 7/01/2024 they sent a shuttle to come and pick me up. When I got to the dealership they were closed, but they left the keys in the car out front. When I got in and pulled off, I realized that something was terribly wrong with the breaks. I could barely stop. My residence was only 14 miles away, so I decided to try and make it home. I drove slow and with my hazard lights on the whole way. Still, I missed my drive way by over 100 yards, because the breaks were so bad. We didn't have any issues with the breaks when we dropped it off. I'm not sure what happened, but I contacted the dealership the same day via email explaining everything. No one bothered to call me back or respond. We have since contacted an attorney to see our options. But I would highly recommend any one considering dealing with this business to think twice. They are extremely unprofessional, and negligent. I still don't know why they treated us this way, but if they can do it to us, they can do the same to anyone. Buyer Beware!
