I've had a very good experience at this auto zone and then had a very bad one so I think depends on the staff . I came in for a bad battery , asked for it to be tested . Was told it can not be tested unless I let them charge it an hour or buy a charger . I said I don't have time il just buy a battery , i was sold a battery but was told they can't put it in for me and then they also couldn't jump my car which I had to turn off for them to test my battery . So I was stranded at AutoZone . Don't come here if you are not sure your vehicle will start again because they may not help you start it back up . read more

I have been to this Autozone twice now and both times have been great. The first was when I needed to replace my back windshield wiper. The fellow who was helping me had a little trouble, but instead of saying "I can't figure it out," he asked someone else for help until they got it. This super impressed me, because typically people just give up. Then, today I got some wipers for my husbands truck and the guy checking me out was so friendly. He told us about their rewards program, which I didn't know about before. Overall, highly recommend. read more

Bought a tool over the phone. When I came in to exchange it. The cashier sent it back to my card neglecting to tell me it takes 2-3 business days. Why couldn't I of exchanged it for same like it. The manager, Scott, attended my mom and I as we were looking for a few things for my car. He was so understanding as we weren't exactly sure what we needed, he called the mechanic shop we were going to attend and asked for what exactly we needed. A B O V E. & B E Y O N D. 2020 has been quite the year for us; all in different ways but when an unexpected blessing Like a Good Samaritan, happen it sure makes such an impact. Currently, i am in the process of relocating to a different city and being that most driving is done when I am not working - my headlight that had been out was a bigger hazard than it may normally be. A large pile of 2x4s on 1604 almost sent me into the median. They were positioned right in the shadow of the curve to where I didn't see it until it was too late. Tonight I stopped in an Autozone near my current home and no complaints- service was great, except i was told they were not able to help install the headlamp. Out of all the auto shops, AutoZone is always my go- to and I thought id make a call. I made a call to the Walnut location in New Braunfels and spoke with James. He told me he'd at least take a look to see if he could help. Darius and James both spent about an hour helping get them both replaced. No complaints, they were happy to help and during these times that is few and far in between. I didn't have much cash on me so I offered to buy dinner or a beverage but they wouldn't accept it. So the very least I can do is give them both the recognition they deserve. Yes it was "just" a headlight, but sometimes that's the tip of the iceberg. Thank you to the both of you. My husband recently passed away and I needed help with getting an additional set of keys to his vehicle. I was welcomed with friendly faces and they provided a great deal of help. There was an issue using the new automatic door opener I purchased and the staff went way beyond what was required in helping me. Ultimately I had to go back several times, not because of what they sold me, but a problem with the programing of it in the vehicle. Every time I was treated with absolute professionalism and knowledge of the sales staff. Zeller became my go to man for the help I needed and I can't thank he or the sales staff there enough. I needed a car battery for my ford fusion and I went in there late one night and a nice worker, couldn't catch his name but had curly hair and facial hair, told me if I brought my car back the next morning he would replace the battery for me. And I went in the next day and a younger man helped me and checked out my car and then told me he couldn't help me because my battery was towards the back. So I went and asked the other man who helped me prior and he said they should've been able to replace it for me but gave me a discount instead on the battery because I had other plans. Bottom line, one nice man that wears the grey shirt knows his information whereas the others need to hit the books a bit more. There was a huge line and could've had better customer service instead of pretending the next customer didn't exist. read more

I won't shop here again. I went in today and waited in line 15 minutes to get them to assess a check engine light that had come on. I got up to the counter and asked if the staff could check my engine light with their machine and he pointed to three customers behind me and said that I would have to wait until he was done with them. When I told him I had already waited in line for 15minutes he said, "Sir it is just a courtesy." I then said I would not be shopping there and he said that was " fine". I went down the street and O'Reilly's Auto parts was cordial, responsive, and quickly took care of my request. I also bought the rest of the items I needed there. read more

Ryan (an employee here), is the man! Thank GOD I happened to come in here late, when it was slow, cause Ryan looked up the product I needed and helped me with it... bim bam boom.. done! He conquered this lil' problem like it was nothin'! See, it's amazing how what is so small to one, is much harder for another. If only the world behaved more like this and just helped with their time, effort or energy in their area of gifts that thry were blessed with.Maybe after reading this... you can think of some lil' way you could help another. Just like taking someones trash out that has a hard time walking.. it's like nothing to one, but huge to the other. Also, I don't know what some review wss talking about... I had to add that many other times we've come here for ourselves and with other people to get things or fix things, and the staff has alwaysss been helpful.. even when busy. This is my first time ever leaving a negative review for a business but with the disrespect I was just given, I believe it is warranted. I work as a construction manager for an unnamed QSR company and I try to leave positive reviews on chain/franchised businesses because I understand the importance. I went to this Autozone in New Braunfels, TX and bought a new fuse that burnt out. I bought the wrong size initially exchanged it right away, no problems. While trying to change out the fuse, I had trouble pulling it out with the limited tools on hand in my tool box and went inside to ask if any of the employees had a small set of pliers. Again, the employees were accommodating, but the set of pliers were a part of store inventory and had a tag on them. I figured, pull out the old fuse, insert the new fuse and return them to the store. Unfortunately, it was not that easy because I pulled out the existing burnt fuse in pieces and struggled to insert a new fuse because pieces of the existing fuse had not been fully removed. Well during this time, the store closed. Employees cleaned up and finally left to go home. During the time of their departure I realized I still had the small pair of pliers. I was parked directly in front of the store with my hood up. The 2 employees exit and begin walking towards their vehicles and talking. I say excuse me, no reply. Raise my voice saying excuse me. Say it a 3rd time loudly and again, no reply. I understand, they are off work and would like to return home to their families. They see a guy with his hood up in front of the store and would rather not be bothered. I don't believe this is the kind of customer service AutoZone wants from their employees. I obviously was frustrated with the fact that I was ignored. I was merely trying to return the pliers and thank them for allowing me to use them. Thankfully, my dad doesn't live far from this location and was on his way to assist me with tools he had, as I live all the way on the west side of SA in the Rim. So I no longer needed the pliers and wanted to return them. The fuse was for my fuel pump so without it installed I was unable to start my truck if anyone is wondering why I didn't drive. Hope this brings attention to how some employees treat customers at this location and hopefully corrected in the future. read more
