Last week I blew a tire and realized afterward that I had no spare. I was convinced Discount Tire had forgotten to put it back in my trunk after the last time I was in. That meant I had to Uber myself (and my tire) to Firestone, where I got charged $350 for the "cheapest tire in my size" they had. Fast forward to today--I pulled up to Discount Tire looking like a total disheveled mess, with my car just as much of a mess as I was, and my two toddlers in the backseat. I was only planning on a quick air check. I casually mentioned what had happened, and Martin immediately jumped in to help. He brought out Chase, his senior manager, who agreed we needed to get me a proper spare right away. While looking over my car, Martin also spotted a screw in my back tire and got me into a bay on the spot. He even offered me an amazing deal to help offset the frustration I'd had with the missing spare. Here's the kicker: halfway through the process, Martin double-checked my trunk and found out that my car actually has two floorboards. My spare had been hiding under the second one the whole time! He never made me feel dumb about the mix-up, still honored the deal, and was patient even though I also lost the wheel-lock key. When Martin had to step away and Chase was tied up inside, another gentleman helped finish the process with the exact same kindness and respect. As a woman, I'm often treated like I don't know what I'm doing at car places. In this case, I really didn't know what I was doing, but these three men treated me with nothing but respect, generosity, and professionalism. If you're a single woman or mom who has to handle these things on your own--especially if you've got little ones in tow--this is the place to go. You'll get the best service and the best eye candy all in one stop. Thank you to the entire team at Discount Tire, especially Martin, Chase, and the third gentleman who helped me out. You've earned a lifelong customer! read more

After getting a Haerr quote at the San Marcos Discount Tire, I ended up going to the new Braunfels and got a heck of a deal. Ended up buying four tires. That was even better than what they'd offer four tires in San Marcos. Who have thought different discount tire tires will have deals different than each other. read more

We have always bought our tires from Discount Tires. The main reason if the tire is ever punctured because of a nail or other road debris it will be replaced if at the time of purchase a certificate has been purchased. U stop by to get the tires checked ( no charge, just get in line if another car is there). My son purchased a certificate even though he did not buy his tires from discount tire. But he's now covered for rotation, tire checks etc. the crew is friendly, always courteous. I'll always buy my tires from them. read more

Have always had a positive experience when coming here - staff remain professional and courteous despite the hot temps outside. Tire pressure check line can be long but certainly a lifesaver and has been a help to determine if or when I need to replace our tires read more

DAVID IS THE MAN. I got a blow out on my travel trailer tire, I called the 337 location and David answered. He was nothing but receptive and helpful in the stressful time. Everyone else looked like they were at work. David looked and had the energy like he was there to help. Anytime I need any tire services I'll be sure to come back and ask for David. read more

Well done as always! I've been getting my tires here and servicing them for rotations and replacements for years. They are always courteous, professional and friendly. Marshall took care of me today showing me a screw in my left front tire, checking sensors and showing me which needed to be replaced and getting the rotation done as well. Warranty always saves me money as they replaced my tire for a fraction of the cost and making an appointment online saved me time. Impeccable service keeps me as a lifetime customer! read more

I can't say enough amazing things about the service at this location! David was very responsive and super helpful with my tire. After that kind of service, they have a customer for life! It is so nice to come across somebody who actually cares about the client. read more

Front desk employees at Discount tire are very responsive. They immediately greeted me at the door when I arrived, even though it was Friday around lunchtime--incredibly busy. After examining my car, they carefully explained the issue with my tires and gave me options for new ones in three tiers of pricing (good, better, best). There was no pressure, which I really appreciate. Unfortunately, they underestimated my wait time. Told me it would be an hour wait but it ended up being two hours. Despite the wait, I still really liked the place. Since the shop is conveniently located in the HEB grocery shopping center (off hwy 46 & 337), it was a great opportunity for some multitasking baby!! Hubby & I went next door to HEB while we were waiting for my car & got a little grocery shopping done. Best of all, the shop texted me when the car was done so made it easy shop right up until the car was ready so we didn't have to wait around any longer. Love that! read more

My truck had a crew in the tire. I called Discount Tires and they told me if they could fix it they would and free of charge. True to their word, they got me in and fixed my tire for free. What service. I also witnessed a technician work with a customer to get her a tire. I could see the lady was upset by whatever happened to her car. I do know she was really grateful to the technician and I could see whatever he did it made her happy. Great customer service. Everyone was really friendly. read more

A great experience every time I visit. This last visit we needed new tires. They did not try to sell me expensive tires, they sold me what I needed. Ease of setting up appointment and they were done early. Always a friendly staff. read more

My husband got a flat tire. They kindly repaired it by removing a nail on the tire and did not charge anything. For tires, they could have easily said "oh, it is bad you have to replace it" and charge a lot, which some shady tire stores do. I am so grateful to their generosity and honesty, whatever our future tire needs we will come here and buy tires here. read more

Best place to get tires fixed in New Braunfels. Super quick and helpful staff. Highly recommend

I came here back in 2020 to get new tires put on my son's vehicle. I purchased the hazardous thing with the tires and I'm glad I did. For the last few weeks, the tires have been getting low and I assumed it was because of the weather making the air go out. Today, I took the car in and explained what was going on. I was helped very quickly even though the lobby was packed. I was given an estimated time of one hour for my vehicle to be done. When my vehicle was done, one of the guys who was working on it came and explained to me what was going on. Long story short, I ended up having to pay only $21 for a new tire on my left rear and they were able to plug the right rear. This location has never given me any issues when bringing a vehicle in. Everyone has always been very professional and extremely nice! I would definitely recommend anyone use this company who may be looking to purchase new tires or who may be looking to utilize a chain company that has employees who possess integrity. These guys who work here are not just out for a commission or to make unnecessary up-sales. They are all about customer service and quality and will lead you in the RIGHT direction. Thank you guys for always being awesome!! read more

1 star visit today but they are usually a 5 so I went with 3. I took my truck in with the spare on it to get it fixed. He asked me to just leave the tire. I came back 3 hours later for them to put it back on the truck. He said I had to go to back of the line(2 hrs). I explained that I was there before all of those ppl to no avail. read more

I run all our vehicles through Discount Tires because we have always been treated so well. I was even more ecstatic when this location opened, as it is much easier to get to than the one in north San Antonio. However, I can't wait for the new one to open in my town. I have to say that the best thing Discount has done is appointments. You can get in, have your tires rotated and balanced, and be out in less than 30 minutes. The people that work for Discount try their best to make sure you have a good experience. It starts from the guys up front and goes all the way to the guys that bring you your car after work is completed. To make the experience better, you get your receipt in your email almost instantly. Then, within a day, you get a survey to help make them better. Great prices, quality work, and very good service! I will definitely return. read more

great friendly service. I use to go to Costco but now I just come here because it's so convenient and a lot faster.

If I could give them more stars I would! Zach looked after us and we were very pleased. He was honest and caught a problem the other location didn't check the previous day when I took my vehicle in complaining about a vibration. THANK YOU Zach! read more

Dropped a trailer tire by to have it fixed at 8AM when they opened. I got a call 15 mins later saying they pulled the object out of the tire and it is not repairable. When I got back an hour later they hadn't even pulled the object out at all. Took it to a different discount tire and they patched it in 30 mins and sent me on my way. All they care about is trying to upsell tires and making money. Not taking care of their customers . read more

I've been patronizing Discount Tire for years and will never go anywhere else. The staff is friendly, the techs are competent, the prices fair, and the wait times reasonable, even when busy. My most recent experience was to have a nail removed and the tire plugged. I was able to get it done in less than an hour with no appointment and at no charge. I highly recommend this company and this particular store. read more

Exceptional service here. I have never received better service. Alfred went above and beyond. He explained all my options and never once made me feel like I had to do something I didn't want to do. He never pressured me into getting anything extra and I really appreciated that. I will be coming here from here on out. Also, everyone working here was very friendly. I was listening to all of their interactions with the other guests and everyone took their time and listened to each guest. They were so helpful and kind to everyone. It was awesome to see this. read more

Been here several times because the construction in our subdivision is destroying my tires, and each time I have had nothing but a good experience. These guys have always worked hard and been very polite and helpful. Can't say I'd try going anywhere else, they have definitely earned my business through the years. read more

I received a very passive aggressive attitude from this guy named MARSHALL. I admit I don't have an exceptional knowledge about tires but he had a choice as to whether to talk to me as if I'm some clueless moron. For example, he asked me (in a comical but humiliating manner) if I knew why my tire light was still on. Then he had me nervously guess in front of him so he could have his little laugh at some stupid young girl who knows nothing about tires. Well the answer was that I don't know, that's why I'm here at Discount Tire. It's like going to a steak restaurant and getting made fun of because you don't know how to cook a steak. Overall, I received a very condescending and unnecessary attitude from this guy. However, I'm not going to ignore the fact that they were able to help me for free without any charge. Props to the guys in the back for helping me reset the computer on my car so I could have my issue taken care of. :) read more

I would leave 0 stars if I could. Finally went back to using discount tire after them burning me 8 years ago. Went to change my shocks and it turns out they lost my key for the lugs. Glad I'm just changing shocks and not on the side of the road with a flat tire. Goto Walmart for tires. Better prices better service and they won't lose your stuff like discount does. read more

My new tires came in a little later than expected. But Corey called me at every interval to keep me updated on their arrival. Discount Tire has always been an excellent store for me to buy my vehicle's tires from due to the best tire prices available, quick service, professionalism, and skill of their workers. At this Discount Tire the service was no different. I recommend having your tires bought from this store because all levels mentioned above will be met.
