I was very sick every single year when the furnace was on but didn't think it was that being that they are professionals and a brand new furnace. Finally, I called them about it and they stated that it would cost money. The furnace was only 3 or 4 years old. So, I let it go not realizing it was leaking gas and that was what was making me so ill. Three guys had come to my house stating there was no gas leak and I sniffed it out when the last guy came and he tested it and yes there was a gas leak. It almost took my life. In a way it did. I was sick for 3 winters. I was buying two filters per month thinking the furnace was just dirty. I thought I should give a review in case someone else goes through this.

Then decided to tell me that they are running behind. Could not give me an update to when. 1:54pm still nothing. Had to call Home Depot and ask what is going on. 2:59pm at my house with no heads up. Upset that no one is home now. Finally called me and I told them I will be back in 30 mins. They came inside and tried to tell me I needed all of these things. Told them I didn't need them and they said then we can't do the install. Ask the guy to leave and he did. The best part was he said it would take 6 hours to do the job and drain the old tank. Now I know why they are behind.

I feel I need to update my review for Delong Air. I was really happy with them until I discovered…read morethat once you sign up for the annual maintenance program you are no longer allowed to do any DIY repairs or maintenance on your system. I had a vibration in my furnace draft inducer. I called them to check it out and they sent a tech to diagnose the problem. After I described the sound it was making he looked at the serial number tag and told me the inducer wheel was cracked and I needed a new inducer unit. I asked how much it would cost and he said it could be up to $1700! He also said that the office folks would have to order it and they would let me know how much it cost. I asked him to have them call me with an estimate before they ordered the part. Two weeks passed and I didn't hear a word from anyone. In the mean time the problem was getting worse. So I decided to order the part from Amazon and replace it myself. Two days after I finished the repair I got a call from Delong to schedule the install of the new inducer. I told them that I had already fixed the problem and to cancel the work order. They seemed to get upset but did not say anything at that time. A week later I got a bill for the service call that was supposed to be covered by my service contract. Longer story short I canceled the service contract and they closed the account. The moral of this story is if you want to be able to approve any repair to your system PRIOR to being obligated to pay for it you might want to look for a different vendor. This is really too bad I liked their techs and the work they did but the folks in the office need to do their job as well as the techs are doing theirs. This INCLUDES keeping the customer informed on status and cost of projected repairs. Seriously two weeks and not a word on the status even after I requested one from the technician. To me that is unacceptable.

Pro: good response time to come and do a furnace diagnosis…read more Cons: -Overcharged for diagnosis, -Correctly diagnosed, but failed to mention it was recalled item (heat exchanger), -Never followed up as promised. This was really the epitome of poor service. They came in and diagnosed the problem and suggested we get a new furnace because replacing the part would cost nearly as much. I mentioned that the part should have a lifetime warranty on it, and the response was "we'll check into that". They then charged almost twice the original diagnosis quote because they "verified" their diagnosis. I have never heard back. I called another company and paid another diagnosis fee (which they credited after the work was complete). They immediately knew that the part was a recall item and included partial labor. I only had to pay for some of the labor. I DO NOT recommend using this company.
