Very disappointed that my husband tried to rebook an exfoliation appointment because we had a family emergency come up and they would not work with us to reschedule the service or credit it to another one. He was able to cancel the appointment the night before, but was unable to call and explain the situation to the staff until the next morning. He called right when they opened which was 3 hrs before the scheduled time and they said there was nothing they could do. I will stop buying gift cards and sending business there way with that lack of customer service. read more

I can't speak to anything else about this place beyond the way it does nails. On the subject of nails, it is one of the worst places to go. Bought a gift for someone to have their nails done there and purchased their version of gel (shalack?) began to come off an hour latter. Let them know via a survey and they offered to redo it. Got them redone, but 2 days latter the polish popped off some of the nails. I would not recommend this place to anyone and would never return. Go buy gel polish and a light on Amazon and do them yourself. You couldn't do any worse than this place. If that's not your speed, just go somewhere or anywhere else. read more

My wife and I came here for a "Couple's Retreat" package for our Anniversary. I can't think of what could have made it a better experience really. The package included a couple's bath, 1 hour couple's massage etc. We showed up for our appointment and everyone was very kind and professional. They should us the facilities and give you a robe and sandals to wear during your appointment. There is a meditation room with a fireplace to relax. The Men's room had a whole variety of Jack Black products to use. It was one of the best locker rooms I've ever been in. The couple's bath had Martenelli's and various snacks and bath accessories. The massage was perfect too, we had Mary and Chandel, both were very experienced massage therapists. We will definitely re-book again! read more

My girlfriend and I went in for a couples massage after having a stressful couple of months and the whole experience with Sego Lily from the moment we walked in was absolutely phenomenal. They were very professional and kind especially with all the coronavirus precautions they have in place. We had Tanya and Lupe (hopefully spelled those right) do an incredible job. My daughter and sister got me a gift certificate for Mother's Day and I was excited to book their Primo & Pamper package, which includes a 60-min massage and 60-min pedicure. I have recently been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Daisy, my massage therapist, did an amazing job. Two days later I am still sleeping better and sitting straighter than I have in months, with less pain. My pedicure was also amazing and I felt pampered! My only complaint is that due to my fibromyalgia I have recently gained weight and there was not a larger robe that didn't leave me feeling uncomfortable and exposed. read more

Amazing pedicure today. I had not been able to get a pedicure for over a year with Covid-19 and life. I was so glad I got in today. The pedicure room is updated and so fresh and light. I loved the snack and treat options. And adding the hand mask was dreamy for my dried out hand sanitized hands. I will for sure be back way before a year. We live by the Midvale location but it wasn't open for appts yet so we booked at the Bountiful location. The setting, ambiance and decor was perfect and exceeding my expectations. I was bummed we couldn't use some of the other features but that was due to Coronavirus. Despite that, the experience was great! I loved the attention Taylor paid to the tightness and stress in my shoulders and neck. She also made sure to continue to ask of my comfort level, of pressure was Ok, etc. my boyfriend has Lupe as his massage therapist and he enjoyed his massage as well. We both loved how attentive they were to issue areas, without really being told to do so. Will definitely go back and highly recommend both Taylor and Lupe! read more

I have never been disappointed once, and always leave feeling so relaxed. Today I got a massage there, and it was by a blind man, named Brett. He was so amazing, and it gave me even more respect for this spa, for hiring him and allowing him to have a normal work life. My experience at the Bountiful location felt more like going to a training school location than the standards I know Sego Lily has. - The wrap was never a wrap - I am a size 12ish, not tiny but far from a size that would need additional accommodation. The therapist rationalized that the sheet(?) was too small to wrap around me because of the sheet size. To her credit she laid what I think was a weighted neck pillow on top of me in an attempt to hold the sheet sides in...this did not work. I recommend having sheets horizontal in order to ensure there is enough material to sufficiently wrap the person, regardless of size. - The therapist did not put seaweed mud on my hips. After I asked her to, she kindly did so. I got the impression there was not a sufficient amount of mud to be adequately/evening spread. - The steam room in the changing area was amazing. The one in the individual room was disappointing. The standard American shower produces more steam than that room did and I could see the entire area, including my feet, the entire time. I don't think this is something that can be changed for a future appointment - I just really loved the steam production in the changing room. - It was super weird that she used the brushes on my feet and then again over my body. In several cultures around the world feet are considered unclean, regardless of cleanliness. I recommend saving the feet until both sides of the body have been brushed. The front desk personnel were very nice and supportive in regards to my comments about my experience. Additionally, the director reached out to me and thanked me for my feedback. Update/Reply: I waited from September until November to post my review (the same one I had sent to the director) in order to provide the company the opportunity to demonstrate reparation. It did not. I had no desire to pay for the possibility of another poor experience. The review is based on the events that occurred during my visit and my review is not opinion based. The service was poor and the response from the company was ambiguous. read more

Still on the search to find my new full-frills day spa, now that Kura Door is overpriced and underwhelming. Sego Lily was highly recommended to me by both a co-worker and a friend, so I made an appointment for a massage. Prices are similar to the Kura Door for services and first impression was that I liked that I could make a next-day appointment. Sego Lily has a few locations up and down the Wasatch Front, all of which are slightly inconvenient if you live in the city. For this particular day, I decided that Bountiful would be a closer drive than the Midvale location, but it was still a good 20 minutes of freeway. The décor looked nice from the photos on Yelp, but upon pulling up, the location is on a really busy street with poor signage and the building looks like a small box store. The interior is slightly better looking, but the materials used are cheap particleboard instead of hardwood and faux leather couches instead of the real thing. My favorite part of a day spa is the infrared sauna. When I called, the woman on the phone confirmed they had one, but upon arrival it is actually a 2-person shower which they've converted into a "steam room." I use quotes because the steam timer is so infrequent that the steam completely dissipates before triggering the fixture again. What makes this even worse is that the whole facility is way too cold to be comfortable. In the "steam room" you practically freeze I'm between bursts of the hot steam. And in my massage, I was placed in a double room even though I was a single (a whole nother story) and with just my masseuse and I being in there, it was freezing. They didn't have bed warmers and the three layers of sheets they place on top of you are thin. All of my extremities were incredibly cold unless they were directly being worked on. Last, but certainly not least. My massage started 17 minutes late. You know that feeling in Jr High when everyone is being picked for teams for kickball and no one is saying your name? Yeah, it feels like that. The meditation room was full with 6 women waiting on this particular morning, and one-by-one they all had their names called and were whisked away to their services. And I just sat there. Waiting for someone to come calling for me. After 10 minutes I poked my head out into the reception to let them know no one had come for me, then went back into the meditation room to watch my clock and wait. The massage itself was fine, nothing spectacular but not bad either. But I couldn't fully enjoy it because 1. I was so cold in the room that was too-large for just two people and 2. After being disappointed by the lack of sauna, crappy steam room and then having to wait, I just wanted to leave the facility altogether. Adding punishment to pain, I was still charged for a full 90-minute massage upon checkout. After the being fetched 17 minutes late, plus another 5 minutes (+/-) of chitchat, being escorted to the room and undressing, that is a lot of not-massage time I still had to pay for. I will not be returning nor recommending this place to anyone. read more

I absolutely love coming to Sego Lily Spa! Stephanie is the very best massage therapist there is, I highly recommend to book an appointment with her. Her massage technique is heavenly! I've had two massages from Stephanie and they were great from start to finish. She gives the right amount of pressure and is just so talented. I also had a massage from another massage therapist when my husband and I came for the Couples Suite Retreat and she wasn't bad but just not nearly as great as Stephanie. I have gone to sego lily for years (layton and bountiful) for massages and referred them to many friends. This place is beautiful and the experience overall is amazing and relaxing. However, I've had two bad experiences in a row and probably won't be coming back. The first bad experience was in February when I had requested a specific person and when I was called back for my massage it was not the same person and the massage was disappointing. When I checked out they said that person had called in sick that day. I understand but I wasn't given any notice of this to be able to reschedule and I couldn't cancel before it started because their policy requires you to still pay if you cancel within 24 hours. In June I decided to give it a second chance since it was only one bad experience after many good ones but it was probably the worst massage of my life. A lot of poking instead of massaging and it gave me more anxiety wishing for it to be over than anything. When I checked out I mentioned my frustration to the front desk and all they said was "yeah she is new, today is her first day" and they offered a 5% discount on my next massage. It is frustrating to pay so much for much less quality of a massage. If someone is new they should not be charging the same as an experienced masseuse. Even with $5 off my next massage it's too much to risk having another bad experience. My advice if you go is to ask who the best people are and make sure you get them. I did schedule last minute which is on me but I still would've liked to have been warned. read more

I discovered this fantastic spa nestled in Bountiful. I'm traveling from California and used to very posh, very expensive spas. I was pleased by the lobby and the prices blew me away! So affordable without sacrificing luxury! I was taken through the serene and ambient spa to the locker room where I was given the warmest and most comfortable spa robe I've ever worn. I arrived early and had time to spend in the mediation room with a hit cup of Honeybush Caramel tea in front of the fire, and enjoy an orange while I waited. When my therapist, Jaline, came to get get me, she was on time, very friendly, professional and immediately made me feel comfortable experiencing this spa for the first time. She walked me to room and fully explained every part of my Reflexology session. The table was very comfortable, the room was peaceful and I was instantly more relaxed. When Jaline came back in she offered me a heated neck wrap (which felt amazing) and then wrapped my feet in this heating detox clay. While me feet were in heaven, she moved on to give the best hand reflexology treatment I've ever received. She put me to sleep more than once! She returned to my feet to remove the clay with hit towels and then put me sleep again with another incredible reflexology treatment on my feet. When the session was done, I felt rejuvenated and better than I did after 80% of the full body massages I've ever received! And I never miss my regular massage appointment. This place is fabulous! My husband and I came here for the couples soak and the 90-minute couples massage. It was wonderful! We arrived early and got to relax for a while in the mediation room. Then the couples soak was so nice and luxurious. Our massages were also fantastic. My therapist, Angela, gave me the best massage I've ever had and she used just the right pressure for my fibromyalgia. We finished up with more relaxing in the mediation room, steam showers and regular showers in their luxurious dressing rooms. The ambience is very upscale but also somehow cozy and happy. I was amazed, I know why rich people look so good. But these prices are for normal people!. First the facilities are amazing, clean, serene and the staff was soooo friendly. I had a seaweed wrap from Jaline, I was nervous and didn't know what to expect. It was AMAZING. Jaline made me feel comfortable, explained everything that was going to happen, she treated me like a queen. I told her I was sensitive to cold and she had a heating pad for me to keep warm and kept checking that I was comfortable.
