But it is best known as where you park your car and catch the ferry to the car-free islands where people have their summer homes or rent one. There's a trolley to Saltholmen. Don't forget: it stays light very late in the summer in Sweden. Salthomen was beautiful at 9:30 pm (21:30 for Europeans) as the sun slowly set.

It's not a typical beach with sand, but there are rocks and ladders you can use to jump from and climb out. There is a huge parking lot but in high season expect to come early to snag a spot, else you'll have to find street parking a few kilometers away. There's only a few restaurants and some are only open during the summer season, so plan accordingly!

The kebab rolls are ginormous, big enough to feed one person for three square meals, but is a classic and the kebab plate with extra fries is the drunk food you never need but always wanted.
