Nice spot, excellent service. Feels like a lighter version of the traditional cuisine. If you need your salad dressed, just ask and they will accommodate. Really impressed with the cod, was unsure bc the menu said fried but it is pan fried and not bartered - yay. Bathrooms are clean and plentiful and lots of alfresco dining.

    The Famous meatballs are amazing!!

This is an amazing restaurant! Set in shopping square open air on nice days. Very relaxed and chill atmosphere... definitely would recommend to any US traveler looking for authentic Swedish meal.

Great Swedish meatballs!! This place came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Two of us had the Swedish meatballs, which were slightly firmer than other places, but with a rich, thick brown gravy, and a side of mashed potatoes. The ambience was quaint and casual, and the bar was well stocked. My wife had the fried cauliflower and fried brussels sprouts, which were also excellent. We had a charcuterie board appetizer in which everything was fresh and good.

Amazing traditional Swedish cuisine in the heart of the city. Would definitely get the meatballs as they are some of the best I've had! Comes with gravy, perfectly mashed potatoes, lingonberries, pickles and melt in your mouth meatballs. Every week (apart from during the busy summer season) they also have great lunch deals featuring a rotational menu. Service is good and food comes out fast. Go to spot for lunch!

The meatballs were amazing! Gravy and creamy mash potatoes were spot on. Service was also wonderful!

Went on mid summer. Wonderful food, great service and very nice outside seating environment.

This is some delicious and well presented food. I came to try different Swedish dishes because that is what tourists do. We ordered the Svenska Delikatesser and the 4 oysters as appetizers. For dinner we ordered the gravas lax, the lobster soup and the seafood stew. They were excellent (we are all members of the #CleanPlateClub) and the ambiance of the restaurant was lovely. She sat in the summer evening sunshine with excellent people watching opportunities abounding.

    Best Swedish meatballs in town!

Excellent service and amazingly tasty food. I visited Kungstorget on my travels through Sweden and was told by a local friend that this place had great food. The meatballs were amazing...the best Swedish-style meatballs I've ever had. The setting is quite elegant and is in the central part of Gothenburg. I would recommend this place to locals and visitors alike. Yummy for my tummy!

    The delicious mussel soup

Well the food was excellent, the location was great and when the sun shines it is such a nice place to sit. People pass by all the time and you can sit and watch. The sun shines there for quite many hours and the service was very good, quite fast if considering how many people they were serving and friendly! I got myself a mussel soup with garlic bread and it was an excellent choice. My friend got the Caesars salad which was good quality large leaves of chicken and homemade croutons. Looked yummy! The house white wine was also good that we tried. The only negative on this place is that the tables are too close so you have to actually struggle to getting into your seat. But I didn't mind. Once I was sitting it was fine and the sun warmed me up and the food made me happy! Highly recommend it for lunch!

The Elderflower Southside is such a fresh, fruity, and light drink. We were already off to a great start. Both appetizers we got were good but not too memorable; still great for sharing with your table. The main winner here was the Beef Sirloin! It was cooked to a perfect medium and had a nice char crust on the outside. They did an incredible job with preparing it and the side dishes just hit the spot. I loved the fresh tomato & onion salad and the addicting house-made French fries. I just couldn't get enough especially with the béarnaise sauce. The dessert was not your typical bread pudding; it's much lighter and softer. If you dine at Dinner22, definitely get something off their meat menu! You will be happy you did.

This is really a 3.5 stars experience. An interesting…read moreexperience. Visited restaurant by myself for dinner. When I arrived at around 7 pm on Thursday, I pretty much got lucky scoring the last table left without the reservation. Decided to go with a fixed dinner menu, containing appetizer, entree, and dessert. There was also recommended wine selection, so I discussed it with the server, and he suggested that if I don't want to drink dessert wine, I would be better off just getting wine pairing for the first two dishes. Perfect. The first wine was Pinot Noir from New Zealand, and the first dish was deer Carpaccio. Both were excellent in its own right - good wine, tasty dish, the pairing worked together. Second wine poured was California Ghost Pines Chardonnay, which by the glass costs there as a whole bottle back in the USA. Okay, but then this is a mediocre wine, and while the cod was made very well, the pairing really didn't work. The dessert was advertised as chocolate ganache or so, but the actual dish had a large serving of the gelato in a middle, with tiny mounds of chocolate around. The most captive part of the dish was some chewy candy bits on top of the ice cream, in appearance resembling the salmon caviar, but an overall combination with gelato was excellent. Each chocolate mound had a piece of caramel inserted into it, which was really annoying as it was getting stuck to the teeth. So far the food was good, the wines were okay and not, but the worst part was service. Got half a glass of water poured, no pitcher left as on all other tables had to flag someone down to get more water despite sitting across from the bar where someone was constantly at. Nobody really cared if/how I liked the food etc., which, considering the food prices in Sweden was rather annoying. So we have food at 4.5, wines at 3 and service at 3. All in all, you decide if you want to eat there or not.
