Agree with the other bad reviews. Service is horrid here. Our server is supposed to be Henry but he didn't once check on us. I only give 2 stars vs 1 as the hostess took our order when the server was no where in sight. He seemed bothered when we asked for another drink. Food was okay. Burger was good but overpriced. We ate here only because other places near are all closed on Sunday. My chicken ceasar was mostly bacon with some chicken and not a lot of romaine. Very odd Will not be back. And Henry should be better trained. Maybe his first week

We had dinner here on our first night in Sweden and it was a great introduction to the gastronomic adventure we were embarking on during our trip. The restaurant is located inside the Clarion Hotel and has a stunning art deco design. The dark wood is beautifully complimented by rich green velvet cushioned chairs, gold metal accents, and cascades of natural greenery offering a touch of nature. We had reservations and were seated right away, which was perfect cause I was oh so hungry. The set three course menu was very exciting and I was thrilled to find out that my gluten allergy could easily be accommodated by the chefs. We started out with a beautifully plated apple and cauliflower appetizer with hazelnuts and pomegranate. It was both an intriguing combination of flavors as well as beautiful. The duck confit entree with pistachios and endive was succulent and sauce forward, which is how I wish every aspect of my life was. They were unable to make the glazed mousse gluten free so the husband thoroughly enjoyed his raspberry decadence and mine was substituted with a lemon mousse that has to be the prettiest dessert I've ever eaten. This restaurant has a unique design with a great ambiance, our service was beyond reproach, and the meal was both delicious and the plating was a work of art. We would definitely visit again if we return to Gothenburg.

This visit to Norda resulted in an underwhelming dinner in a town with so many great dining options. The space itself is beautiful and deserves a revisit by ownership to bring it back to life. It's me I is limited with space filled by a full order of starters and very limited cooked seafood options from a city known for its fresh seafood. I will give credit that all food was plated very well and shows that the staff cares about the meals it puts out. With that said On the small chance ownership reads this review I recommend you up your staff as the team working went well over what should be expected and a guest should see. Like I mentioned at the beginning we left underwhelmed and felt like we wasted a night on a meal we will not look back fondly on.

I review lunch today. I arrived at 1p to be promptly seated by the hostess per my reservation they clearly plan around per the pre-assigned seating with the right size, view, and service level. First, the food as always. I ordered the starter same as last night, the Arctic salad with the salted crispbread surronding a bed of cured salmon with accents of very fresh herbs, horseradish thin slices, crumbled devilled egg, and feta cheese. The advanced balancing of many tastes to make for a colorful interesting dish is the skill which 1 seeks in fine dining. The difficulty of planning this on one's own much less executing is all great to witness. The main entree was a pork shanks with winter vegetables. My description's not eloquent as I couldn't well translate the menu (photo should be below/above) but my extended description will help: 2 large pieces of pork which are quickly flavored with own sauces and salt and light spices sitting atop carrots, potatoes, and leafy greens (collard green-like, but not). Accompanying are 2 sausages, custom made here, and a mustard garnish/sauce. It all works so well in so many ways, the meat bases with the earthy vegetables, the muting potato with the sharper sausages, the fresh carrots with the meatier pork. Desert was lemon emulsion, sugar cookies with sunflower and seasame seeds, vanilla ice cream atop a flour cup with a berry-based filling. I wish I could do the creators, makers, and servers justice with a fuller description. Server Lisa was superbly quickly with every item especially given the high levels of service for all tables at lunch hour which was about 30 diners in the 75mins I was there. As always, the interior design and ambiance, the hard products, were tops. Service matches.

It's a nice place, at the old Swedish Royal Post House at Centalstation in Gothenberg. We ordered wine and the seafood "box" combo. The bread were fresh baked and warm, but, the flavored butter was not a fave, it smelled and tasted like overcooked vegetables. The seafood was fresh and more than enough to fill up on...shrimp, prawns, lobster tail, oyster, skagenröra, crab claws...it gets a 3 because the menu says "bar menu", the decoration says "fine dining" but music from both below and next door says "nightclub bar" all mixed signals and for me, if it were just burgers or fish and chips, it would be a nice date spot to eat and then hang in the bar and music area and loud enough where you dont have to have alot of conversation or people watch of the date doesnt go so well. But to pay for a bottle of ok chardonnay at 900kr plus the dinner you expect a little quieter dining area. The last detail was after a pleasant server, our bill came with 3 drinks we didn't order. Luckily my project manager husband checked the bill and saw the 3 extra drinks and we had to wait to get her attention to get it taken off our bill. it took awhile because she thought we were done and didnt need our attention anymore. It seems not a good sign that at such a bar scene at Posten, drinks should not end up on someone else's tab. I've been to the bar downstairs several times and always pay cash for this reason, its crowded and a nice bar hangout but I've always sensed they are not so organized downstairs and wondered if the restaurant was any different.

Very good apple martinis! The only reason they don't get a 5 it's because they don't bring the drinks to your table, you have to order at the bar and take the drink who's to your seat.

Excellent food and service! Had the buttered cod with home made hollandaise which tasted amazing. The bar in the hotel is great too and made a fantastic virgin cocktail with passion fruit dir me.

In the old post office, this is the perfect stop for a tourist. There is a gracious entry-way with creative remants of its post officey history. The restaurant above makes a bold impression with its elegant decor. While the food is good, the real attraction here is the overall experience

The lounge area is filthy as hell, but frequently empty leaving room for waisting your time.

We stayed at the Clarion Post for a Volvo Overseas delivery and we had Norda twice, once as room service on our first night and then as a dinner.

The Elderflower Southside is such a fresh, fruity, and light drink. We were already off to a great start. Both appetizers we got were good but not too memorable; still great for sharing with your table. The main winner here was the Beef Sirloin! It was cooked to a perfect medium and had a nice char crust on the outside. They did an incredible job with preparing it and the side dishes just hit the spot. I loved the fresh tomato & onion salad and the addicting house-made French fries. I just couldn't get enough especially with the béarnaise sauce. The dessert was not your typical bread pudding; it's much lighter and softer. If you dine at Dinner22, definitely get something off their meat menu! You will be happy you did.

This is really a 3.5 stars experience. An interesting…read moreexperience. Visited restaurant by myself for dinner. When I arrived at around 7 pm on Thursday, I pretty much got lucky scoring the last table left without the reservation. Decided to go with a fixed dinner menu, containing appetizer, entree, and dessert. There was also recommended wine selection, so I discussed it with the server, and he suggested that if I don't want to drink dessert wine, I would be better off just getting wine pairing for the first two dishes. Perfect. The first wine was Pinot Noir from New Zealand, and the first dish was deer Carpaccio. Both were excellent in its own right - good wine, tasty dish, the pairing worked together. Second wine poured was California Ghost Pines Chardonnay, which by the glass costs there as a whole bottle back in the USA. Okay, but then this is a mediocre wine, and while the cod was made very well, the pairing really didn't work. The dessert was advertised as chocolate ganache or so, but the actual dish had a large serving of the gelato in a middle, with tiny mounds of chocolate around. The most captive part of the dish was some chewy candy bits on top of the ice cream, in appearance resembling the salmon caviar, but an overall combination with gelato was excellent. Each chocolate mound had a piece of caramel inserted into it, which was really annoying as it was getting stuck to the teeth. So far the food was good, the wines were okay and not, but the worst part was service. Got half a glass of water poured, no pitcher left as on all other tables had to flag someone down to get more water despite sitting across from the bar where someone was constantly at. Nobody really cared if/how I liked the food etc., which, considering the food prices in Sweden was rather annoying. So we have food at 4.5, wines at 3 and service at 3. All in all, you decide if you want to eat there or not.
