I love the restaurant restaurants in the atmosphere downtown on Pewaukee Lake. This Restaurant continues to disappoint me.. it was mid-day and the service was terrible! I had to ask her to take her orders a few times before she finally came. We ordered Gua and nut and chips, etc. for an appetizer.. we had to ask twice for small plates and then the server actually hit my arm as she threw the stack of plates on the table! The food is mediocre. This establishment has such great potential, but never gets there.!? read more

This place is gotta be one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. You get great service you eat great drink drinks and the food is wonderful. I don't understand how people give such a bad review for this place. read more

Seester's Mexican Cantina - Awesomeness - Mexican Near Me - Pewaukee, Wisconsin

Best part was the food, but the margaritas and the great view were a close second. I'll be back very soon for all these reasons that including the great service. read more

Stopped in on taco Tuesday to check out the specials. Inside is rather small but outside they have slot of tables to enjoy the view of Pewaukee Lake. Sat at the bar and the service was great. The margaritas were good although served in a plastic cup, not really the best presentation. The two-for taco special was nice, a couple of tasty tacos, one nicely cooked steak and another ground beef that had a nice spice to it. Topped off with some hot salsa made the tacos a nice treat. read more

Check your bills, It's illegal in the State of Wisconsin to charge a service fee for debit cards. Was told there p-o-s charges all cards. They need to fix this problem. read more

Wanted to like this place since the location is great but it was very disappointing. Very cramped inside, slow slow slow service. Food is Just meh. Long fingernails on the girl that brought the food basically in the guacamole. Gross. Unfortunately will not go back. read more

Was like a fast food Mexican restaurant. Not homemade chips . Saw them cooking food in microwave. Margaritas were made from not homemade mix. Food average and prices high. read more

The portobello quesadilla was excellent. The mushrooms were very meaty tasting and the sauce was a mix of avocado and sour cream which was quite tasty. The place was slammed, but the service was very fast. Right on the water, so an excellent sunset view. read more

Worst food I've had in a long time. Looked around at other tables and all food is made with the same ingredients. Tasted like what I'd get at my school cafeteria in taco day. Nacho cheese was gross. They could at least use an old El Paso taco mix to add flavor. Very disappointing because the atmosphere is fun and the wait staff was so friendly. Picture looks better than what it was. Maybe go for a drink, but eat down the road. read more

We tried a variety of dishes and everyone loved it! There is a 5 minute wait for a table, but they were slammed. Somehow even when busy service was quick. The location is beautiful, with murals on the walls and bright colors. read more

First time there today. The food was ok, but the service could have been a lot better. It took forever to order, recieve our lunch (all of it, as some was forgotten), and pay. The outdoor umbrella closed several times leaving us in the blinding sun, nobody tried to fix it. Just a eh experience. read more

Our favorite place!! Great food, great atmosphere, excellent margs!! Highly recommend- don't miss it!

We stopped here during an afternoon at Pewaukee Beach. My sister was in need of some air conditioning so we walked across the street to have a margarita at the bar. The place is very small. maybe 10 tables inside and maybe 8 outside. Service was immediate. I was confused by the menu which stated they only serve margaritas on the rocks but there were two frozen machine dispensers, regular and strawberry. The bartender told us the machines were relatively new. One thing I did like was that the tequila was poured in your cup and is stirred in with the mix. I guess that was for those, not wishing indulge can get a virgin version, I got mine half regular and half strawberry (with tequila of course) No free chips and salsa here, but I was not surprised because I read it on someone else's review. I also read beans and rice are not included with the meals. You have to order them, WHAT! That had to be a mistake but it is true-All we had for food was a mushroom quesadilla to share The bartender was very friendly and knowledgable. I saw quite a few people taking food to go. I'll write another review of the food when I go again read more

Seester's Mexican Cantina - two drinks on a table - Mexican Near Me - Pewaukee, Wisconsin

Solid 3 stars for me. I'll stick to Mexican on the Southside. Enchilada sauce was just not that I was expecting and lacked flavor. Margaritas were way too sweet for me. Nothing special. On a positive note you can order a mini quesadilla for kids and my daughter enjoyed it! Nice views of the lake as well. Service was super quick! Our waitress was great. read more

It so so food--so so service -- so so atmosphere. Pewaukee and lake country in general needs a good sit down Mexican place. Noah's has the best Mexican place food by far but only takeout. Also there is a Mexican food truck in Hartland that's top notch on cottonwood avenue. The first top quality traditional Mexican place with a spacious dining area will clean up in Lake Country. read more

Great food and service! It's even better in the summer- right on the lake! Try the enchilada verde and margaritas!

We spent a lot of time in the Lake Country area this summer and decided to stop at Seester's for dinner one evening. This is a cute spot right across from Pewaukee Lake that is always hopping. I had a margarita; it was good if not terribly memorable. We started with the chips and guacamole and loved it. Then it was on to the tacos. These were fine but I've had better elsewhere. If you are looking for more authentic Mexican food, this isn't the place for you. What really sells this place is the ambience....it feels like a party. The service was good, the staff friendly. I'd happily stop again to try other menu items. read more

Yum, yum, yum!! We stopped in to Seester's this past weekend without a plan, and were so glad we did. There is a lot of seating (though maybe a little squished), and a full bar. Even the bathrooms are thoughtfully decorated, making up for the slightly older building it is in. The atmosphere was great, but the food was even better. Do not pass on the chips and guacamole - it's some of the best I've had. I was stuffed and still couldn't leave any on the table. We will definitely be back. read more

I tried to eat through the bits of burnt food in my tacos but it tasted old and carnal. I won't be back. Just a good lactation the food is awful. read more

Visiting from Dallas and my bestie wanted to do lunch near the lake. The waitress/bartender was accommodating when we asked for the margaritas to be made a certain way. The nacho was tasty and the garlic mushroom steak quesadillas were on point. Everything was very flavorful. If I lived here I'd try the street tacos next. Great experience, highly recommend. read more

Great location when the weather is awesome and is right across Pewaukee Lake. Service is great considering the Limited seating due to the virus going around. The food was great but the price point could be considered overpriced for some people who are on a budget. Had 2 tacos and a can of soda for roughly $12 plus a tip. No refried beans or rice was included in the price. read more

Very nice experience. This little place right across from Pewaukee lake and beach has a small inside and small on the street seating. Please know that is not a bad thing as it is very laid back and a good vibe, especially on a summer day. Came here with my wife and kids (13 and 8) for lunch. Kids had giant quesadilla and one had the pork tamales. Adults had the steak and chicken street tacos. They gave you a mild, not so mild, and at my request a really not so mild habanero sauce. All the food was delish, as were the margaritas!! This place is a fun, solid stop for any meal. read more

From California, so can safely say I don't tend to have the highest of expectations for Mexican food in Wisconsin outside of the South side. It sounds like the food can be hit or miss, but a group of friends and I made a last minute drop-by after a lake day and we had no complaints. Super accommodating staff who were honest about the time limit for our larger group, very clean service In The setting of a pandemic, and large and delicious meals all around the table for the price. Most of us ended up boxing something up to take home, and we were in and out in under an hour. If we find ourselves in Pewaukee again, I'm sure we'd give it another try. read more

What a dump, and the food is deplorable. Had the Chicken Enchiladas and the sauce on it tasted like tomato soup. Rice was cold and the beans were cold and runny. Open boxes of alcohol underneath the bench where I was sitting so don't order a drink just reach the wooden bench and drink up. Terrible place. read more

This has outdoor dining so we thought we'd give our COVID19 cooking a break for a night. Great people watching! The margaritas were good- nothing special- and the food was decent. Was it the beat Mexican I've had? No. But, it was good and I didn't have to the dishes after- so that's a win. read more

This is a fake Mexican restaurant just getting by because of its location with a lake view.

This is our new fav place! In past years we've grabbed a bit to eat outside regularly. Last night we ate inside and everything was above and beyond. The food was all amazing. They may have made menu changes because other reviews mentioned rice and beans were not included but the menu states rice and beans are included with all entrees. The margaritas were out of this world and I'll be getting the sangria over and over going forward. Seasoned chips amazing. Guac super fresh. Hubby loved the habanero tequila. I was also super pleased to see, in such a small place, how well customers were distanced and every employee was masked. We felt very safe and will return soon. read more

Delicious tacos and margaritas! It is a smaller restaurant so definitely make reservations or we were lucky enough to find a spot at the bar. Cool painting on the wall and nice view of the lake across the street. read more

Cute but very small place on the lake. Nice place to have a margarita and a snack. Sometimes the food is good and sometimes not so much. $13 taco salad was served in a stale and soggy flour tortilla bowl. Didn't say anything until after we paid since we expected nothing other to make them aware. Owner decided to argue they were fresh. They were not! Service was slow as well but friendly. Won't go back other than to have a drink outside. read more

The weirdest thing about my visit to Seester's was sitting with my elbow 6 inches (honestly, 6 inches) from the patron sitting next to me. The tables along the wall had so little room between them, that when the guy at the next table left, he had to squish sideways to get out... with his ass hanging over our table. I had to lean to my left so that my face didn't rub against his ass. Guess I shouldn't complain, it could have been his penis (dang which is worst)! Pretty good service, really liked our waitress, too bad the food and value offered is a bit off. But then they don't have to offer good food or good value, they are on a lake. The place was packed and too cold for outside seating, but we didn't come for the outdoor seating, we came for food. After sitting down we were fortunate to have a nice couple next to us, they didn't seem to mind being able to listen in to our conversation without even trying. We actually all laughed about it. Come on Seester's - a little consideration... take a table out and give us a little room. That's the problem with this place, they know it's uncomfortably close (impossible not to know) and don't care. I can only assume they care only about maximizing their food orders, not their customers satisfaction. This lack also showed by not offering chips and salsa. Saving a bundle there, huh Seester's? It showed too in my 3 enchiladas, nice tasting dish but where's the beans and rice. I was so disappointed when my dish showed up without 'em. I love beans and rice with my Mexican dishes... but nooooo, no beans and rice for you! Really, how much did you save on my beans and rice. Every penny counts right? It's really too bad because my chorizo enchiladas were pretty good. My partner said her quesadilla was just OK. What determined my 3 star rating though was just the general lack of interest in customer satisfaction. I will not go back. read more

First time eating at sisters the service was terrible we didn't receive anything we ordered they had to take it back. The food was not appetizing at all will never go back read more

Seester's is okay Mexican fare, with a great view of the beach on Pewaukee Lake- albeit definitely overpriced. The inside is decorated nicely with interesting Mexican art and standard pieces to take you back to Margaritaville. Inside seating is limited, but there are a few prime tables outside, during summer. Our young waitress was great and on top of the daily specials. We stopped in on a Friday and I got the Friday Fish Tacos Special- which was a spicy tilapia taco. It was good. My son liked his Steak tacos, although he did want the Authentic Steak Taco, and received the normal kind. They were still good. Prices could come down. $2.50 for a can of Coke? Also- a can? Get a fountain, and refill it if you're going to charge that much. Also, food is generally overpriced, but no major complaints besides that. read more

There are many good things about Seester's. The food, atmosphere, and service. The food tastes fresh, and real. The atmosphere always is good even in the dead of the Wisconsin winter. To finish it off the service has been always very good and the staff are all good. 10/10 read more

Placed a to go order the evening of June 17, 2023 upon arrival they were very busy, staff was rude, but I waited to give them my daughters name for our order. I was told nothing was ordered under that name, I then showed her the confirmation number and was told that yep the bar is too busy we aren't putting to go orders in the system! What?!?! So she asked if I would like to wait for it they would get it done right away, there was my mistake I should have said no! We get our food go home to eat and we end up with food poisoning! I will never return here and I will let others know how awful it was! There was not one nice thing about it and even an offer for a discount on the food for what we went through to get it! read more

Food with a view ! Great margaritas ! About $11 for their best one , less syrup so it's good for those watching their waistline . The chips and cheese is just melted nacho cheese , but I still like it . They have amazing pico as well. Our chips were stale , so our waitress gave us new ones ! She was attentive and fun ! Best quesadilla ever ! I suggest getting one of their signature dishes , you can't go wrong ! Out door seating over looks the beach and lake ! Rite on the strip , so it has a lively vibe :) read more

I've been going to Seesters since the day it opened. I have always ordered any of their tacos...delicious. Today my experience starts with a chip falls on floor and noticed the entire floor was disgusting! Is the kitchen this dirty? I decide to order something different...steak quesadilla...horribly dry. I couldn't finish 1 slice. side dish of bean temperature like right out of the can. I have not complained and ordered a cheese/onion enchilada. Cold and not cooked in middle. I asked nicely to have it heated up. I watched the ladies in the kitchen and they were put out by this request. they put my plate as is in the microwave. now my lettuce/tomato are wilted/soggy and the cheese has totally been over cooked and melted out of now empty dry tortilla. I didn't complain. in fact I ate it. i got home and became violently ill out of both ends!! I went through a violent food poisoning episode!! What happened to this place. the entire experience was horrible! where are the negative stars?! read more

We have been at many Mexican restaurants and have never been charged for chips and salsa when arrive and wait on our orders. Mostly terrible. What Mexican restaurant doesn't serve complimentary chips and salsa? This one, that's who. Asked for chips and salsa and got stale seasoned chips that were likely weeks old and purchased at the local Pick N Save. I've had these generic chips before, they are terrible and we were charged $5 for them. Salsa was bland and flavorless, not home made for sure.. They have a lunch menu item called burrito / burrito bowl. To me that reads it's either a burrito or a bowl, you choose.. Well, they came out with a plate of meat buried in slop. I said I wanted the burrito but waitress said that's how it's served they could put it in a Tortilla but that usually costs more. It was cold and flavorless. Was supposed to come with rice and beans (said so on the menu). They forgot that and acted like it didn't come with but got me some anyway. Avoid this place. Slow inattentive service, bad food. Won't be back. read more
