Today I stopped by for some treats for the family and I was INSTANTLY greeted by the security guard who opened the door for me and said good morning. The store was very busy and the small parking lot was so full. once I got in line I was greeted by a teeny tiny little voice - it was a worker named Marisol. She was so sweet and a bit timid, she did inform me that it was her very first day. Throughout the years this location has always been a go to for some serious emergency boxes. Service was welcoming as soon as I walked into the store. I love the plethora of specialty confections. Perfectly tempered chocolate with their iconic fillings, chewy caramel or crunchy goodness. Made it in just before closing and found exactly what I was looking for. I love this See's Candies location. The staff is always friendly and the store is always well stocked. With homeless roaming the area, they have a security guard assigned to this store. Too many times, there is security guard but they watch over the entire parking lot. This store has their own guard which gives me a piece of mind knowing someone is guarding the lot. Her name is Michelle and she never fails to greet me cheerfully, advertise new products, remind me of coupons, and help me find exactly what I need for my students and staff. The day before Mother's Day the store was understandably busy. Michelle was busy filling orders at a break neck speed, and she still made time to greet each person entering the store. It was after lunch, and I needed a dessert. I saw a Sees candy by my girl's house. I only get Dark chocolate Pecan buds because it's my mom's favorite candy. Today, I decided to get wild and sample an Almond Bud. The coolest and cutest lady ever, Kathy, helped me out. I told Kathy that the almond bud tastes a lot like the almond snickers bar. I never knew this, but Kathy told me that Sees has candy bars. She almost convinced me to buy a box. She knows I like caramel and pecans. She also almost had me buy a pecan butter scotch bar. At this time, I am loving Kathy. She is an expert at picking things that will appeal to your palate. We cracked a few jokes and laughed so hard. What a great lady. I could be friends with her. I wound up leaving with so much candy because I wanted to stay in speak with her longer. Such an amazing person. I contemplated leaving this review, but I have been bothered by my experience here since Christmas Eve, 12/24/23. The way that the manager was speaking to the other employees was deplorable, especially around the holidays. It was busy per usual (I go here often) but this is not the first time that I have heard Nancy speak rudely to her team members, or even other customers. She was nearly yelling at one team member and aggressively grabbed the sample tray from her. I am in HR in my company, and if this behavior was reported to me, she would AT MINIMUM be removed from managing other team members. Normally I do not leave reviews like this, but I have not returned to this location just because I do not want to feel uncomfortable like this again. read more

Wow, this little shop is great . Although you are not able to 'build your own box' they do carry all of the other treats. I even received samples in the way of wrapped hard candies and foil wrapped Easter eggs.I purchased scotch mallow eggs, chocolate chick eggs ,and hollow bunnies.I saw some other holiday favorites, but they'll have to wait.I liked that the customer service reps were attentive and I was in and out of the shop in less than 10 minutes.The shop is located in a strip mall consisting of offices and a few shops. read more

About 3 weeks ago, I came to this See's to buy a giftcard for my Sees-aholic sister and was having a bad day. I was helped by Lacey, who was just awesome. She handed me my favorite (Scotchmallow) to sample. She was kind and before I left, she gave me another...she was just so nice and although she didn't say anything must have sensed my mood. Two weeks later I was craving See's, so I stopped by and was feeling way better. I saw Lacey and spoke to her and thanked her for being so nice that day. I noticed another employee working nearby whose ears seemed to perked up once I started to speak. I asked and yes, she was the manager. They both were just so nice, professional and uplifting. COVID-19 Only 3 customers allowed at a time, others must wait outside. You must wear a mask just as the employees are. We were able to custom built our box or purchase a prepacked one. The employees were helpful and very patient with allowing us to take our time in selecting the chocolate that we wanted and helped us select the kind of chocolates we would like. For those that would rather purchase online and pickup in the store, you have that option as well. read more

Nothing more frustrating than not being listened to by someone that is supposed to be providing you with a service! My family and I have routinely purchased See's Candy multiple times per year for the past 35 years. Today was the only time that I recall having a very frustrating experience. When I arrived, no one was in line but I stood away from the glass waiting to be called. Michelle G. said she could assist me. When I walked forward it appeared she was still doing something else behind the counter. Michelle asked what size box I wanted. She was still focused on her previous task and pretended she could not find the appropriate box. Her hands were visible and full from the task she had been working on. When I requested items such as milk chocolate almond, peppermint patties and other flavors that are sold with two in one cup, she asked if I wanted one or two. I pointed out two pieces of candy come in 1 cup so I just want one. We repeated this same issue at least three times. Each time I pointed out I wanted one cup which contains 2 pieces of candy. While I was still ordering, she asked her co-worker to do something unrelated to my order or any other client. Since Michelle was focused on something other than me, she had to ask me to repeat my selections. I told her I don't know which ones you have packed and which ones you missed. If she had been focused on me versus talking to her colleague, she would have heard and retained what I had requested. I asked for a separate bag with a few pieces. She made a comment about being able to put multiple pieces in the bag. My response was, yes I am aware. Michelle asked what occasion the candy was for and I replied saying, Father's Day. When I got home, I discovered she wrapped it in ugly plain white paper. Why wrap a white box in white paper??? I have ALWAYS been given a choice of wrapping paper. I would have definitely chosen the black and white check. The wrapping was horrible too! It was not tight and looked like it had been wrapped by someone without any experience. I will most likely re-wrap it myself to make it look more presentable and appealing. Upon checking out, I was using gift cards I had purchased at Costco. One card appeared to be empty but she had me swipe it a second time. Michelle asked if she could throw away the card. I said, no I want to keep it. Michelle followed up by saying there was not a balance. Once again, I asked for the card. Why is she arguing with me instead of returning the card to me? Michelle said the gift card number used for purchase is on the receipt and said she would point it out. I said, I am familiar and can find it. After the receipt printed, she circled the number and told me there is an 800# I can call. Talking about missing cues! I clearly indicated I am familiar, yet she is still making me wait while she goes on about something I did not ask about. Finally I had to ask for my receipt so I could leave. As I left, I pointed out we had been out of sync the entire time. I could tell she thought I was the issue! Talk about being clueless as to what your customer wants. The store in Redlands ALWAYS provides impeccable service, even during this past year with CovID restrictions. read more

Never had a bad experience at a See's location. They have truly perfected hospitality and customer service. Every time I come in, I am greeted with a smile and a free chocolate. This is the perfect thing to gift a friend, coworker, or loved one. Just beware- during the holiday season it gets incredibly busy, so you will probably end up waiting in a 20-30 minute line.
