If I'm in Redding and need groceries, this Raley's is the best place to come. I really like the…read moremeat department. They have sales on meat that aren't in the weekly flyer, so what I like to do is browse the meat counter to see if there are any good deals or cuts that you don't see normally. This time I found some thick cut rib eye bone in chops for get this ... $1.97 a pound! Hardly any pork is that price. My receipt says I saved almost 60% off regular price. Now THAT"S a deal! I just wish I found this deal earlier and bought more of them. It was the last day of the sale. Cooked them at home on the gas BBQ, just a little seasonings and on the grill ... simple. They tasted terrific, juicy and a nice pork flavor. If you're in Raleys, just check out the meat counter for some killer deals ... not every week but they do happen.

I tried calling to…read morediscuss what happened several times and was kept on hold much longer than I should have been and finally hung up. I sadly returned to this store last week, it's closest to my home, when I needed just two items and didn't want to drive to Food Max. As I walked in the door, a woman was standing outside calling her unleashed French Bulldog to come to her. At that same time another woman walked out of the store with her two dogs in a utility wagon. These are PETS, NOT service animals. Bringing pets into an establishment that prepares or serves food that are not designated service animals is ILLEGAL in CA in addition to being disgusting! The first dog was running around inside the entry way unleashed and clearly a pet, this should NOT be allowed and YES the store should stop this. I have zero issue when a patron comes inside with a designated service animal, but pets should NOT be allowed.

This is the only Trader Joe's in Redding and it's exactly what you'd hope for your classic Trader…read moreJoe's experience. It's conveniently located on Hilltop and Browning, with a big parking lot that makes shopping stress-free (never an issue finding a spot). Right now, since it's September, they already have all the fall essentials: pumpkins, pumpkin sugar cookie dough, pumpkin brioche twist, pumpkin body butter (my fave), those little cinnamon-scented brooms, and so many cozy seasonal favorites. I love that they stay ahead of the season! The produce is always fresh and high quality, they still had those amazing cotton candy grapes that are so sweet and delicious. The wine selection is another huge plus, you really can't beat picking up a bottle for $4 or $5 that actually tastes great. The employees are always friendly and helpful, which makes shopping here even better. Whenever I'm in Redding, I love stopping by this Trader Joe's. Between the great products, unbeatable prices, and seasonal finds, it never disappoints.

Well...on a recommendation I received from Yelp I attempted to make a purchase from the Toffee Girl…read morewebsite only to find nothing on the website to be working. I visited the page twice to see if it was a temporary glitch, but it wasn't. There are a few photos of things they want us to believe they sell, but there are no prices, and no way to purchase any of the items shown, and well--you cannot eat photos. Very frustrating. I used the contact form, which was the only thing that appeared to be working, but I guess it was just for show too, as they failed to answer my question. I don't know if there is an actual store, or if she is operating from home. Either way I cannot drive around town searching for a store that may not exist. For one, I am no longer able to drive; and for two I'm in the hospital and would have liked to purchase a tasty treat. I don't know if they jumped the gun by going live with the webpage; or if they were in business, failed, and closed. Either way the recommendation was a waste of time.
